We decided to go with another company, and that was a mistake. The work the other company did wasn't that great, and the owner of that particular company really had no strong desire to return or even troubleshoot the issues. The customer service alone is enough to give them 5 stars. They adjust and bend to fit my schedule as well as work w me as far as my dogs. Until I made a dog run, they would walk around the yard picking up all the poop before they mowed. I would always apologize for not having time to pick it up, but Curt would always tell me, "don't worry, we'll take care of it." Back in late summer, I looked at my back slope in horror as it was completely overgrown and so out of control it would have taken us months to clean up. I wish I could give a negative star rating! They had contracted semi-monthly maintenance with our condo community but over the last year of our contract, service has become terrible! My first encounter with Curtiss was when they were servicing our irrigation system. I had asked about the months of dying and dead bird of paradise leaves and he simply replies "What we do is what's in our contract, if you have concerns, talk to your management". Seeing as I was new on the board of directors, I brought it up in our next board meeting and requested a copy of our contract. Sure enough, in our contract it states: "2) Giant Bird of Paradise located inside of complex are to have dead/dying growth removed." Another small issue that had been discussed is that they had not been consistent with their service days and times. In our contract, our service day is Thursday in the afternoon. Over the past 8-9 months, they have been disturbing residence by arriving as early as 8am on different days of the week each month. This morning I called to discuss this with Curtiss. I asked nicely if they could include this service the next time they came to our property. He told me they will do what they can reach. Less than 5 minutes later, he called me back and said his next service will be their last! He is cancelling service to us because we require too much from his crew and he doesn't want to deal with any more of our issues!! I CANNOT believe it. All I asked was for them to fulfill their contract as they wrote it. I'm honestly confused as to why they would offer service to us and then be so rude and cancel our contract the minute we ask for them to perform as promised! Be wary... all we wanted was the service they had promised and we were dropped within 5 minutes from when we asked them to uphold their contract! read more
