Excellent and prompt service. Superb dry cleaning and ironing. But I requested no starch. Four of nine shirts can back heavily starched, which caused me to have to take them to another dry cleaner to be recleaned to remove the starch. Very disappointing. read more

I can't support Curtis Cleaners anymore. Since 2019 hit, washes are now $3 per load. $3 PER LOAD. Dryers are still $.25 but $3 per tiny tiny load. That is TOO EXPENSIVE. Nothing has changed except an INCREASE in prices. They also dry clean really expensively as well! A white coat dry cleaned here is $9.50. At Drewsel it is $5 for the same clothing, same service. Even for it's convenient location, Curtis Cleaners are not the only cleaners in town even if they act like it. It's so disappointing for the community they serve to bump washing services from $2 to $3 in 1-2 years. Bye CC. read more

After moving within a couple of blocks, my second visit here resulted in an entire load of whites being ruined due to a dryer. Apparently the gasket on the door was broken which ended up sucking all of the garments into the metal door, turning and twisting, as well as ripping almost all and completely ruining every single item. The attendant admitted he had noticed and should have put a sign on it. I was really only concerned about one shirt, but these people don't even have the decency to call me back. At the very least they should give me a refund for what I spent to clean my clothes and towels which are now completely ruined. It is impossible to get out ground in metal from cotton. I am not only livid at the lack of customer service, I am astonished that they would consider themselves a good family owned company. Horrible. Update: I had posted this negative review when this happened last year, but took it down when the owner called me within 30 minutes of my post. She offered me a $25 credit to use for their wash and fold service or dry cleaning. I have sensitive skin, so neither of these would work for me. I was given the cash and when I washed a load of darks in a front loader, the gap (WHY is there a gap?!) ate a stocking and sock. It offered up men's underwear. Definitely not mine. Steer clear if you value your clothing. There's a great place up the street that is actually clean and pleasant. read more

Stopped here on a Tuesday evening to do two loads of laundry while we were visiting from out of state. The washing and drying machines worked very well. The detergent was $1.50 per load and used quarters to buy it (there is a change machine). We used the app PayRange for the washer and dryer. The man working was very friendly and seemed to take good care of his work. read more

Absolute rip-off. Signed up for "free delivery" and recently noticed high prices on my auotmatic billing. They weere charging me $13 for a sweter and over $9 for a cotton polo short sleeve shirt. When I called to discuss the lady was extremely short with me and rude. Told me the pricing was "standard" due to "not normal material". Very disapointing. Contemplating calling the BBB. read more

R U D E ! Road trip in my Westy and stopped here early morning to do my laundry. It's early and I'm reading, The Sun Also Shines by Anthony Ray Hinton and I dozed off. Not because the book is bad, but because it happens, we're all human beings and sometimes we doze off.... SUDDENLY this woman w/ streaky hair that looks like when you wash white w/ reds but still used bleach, starts banging on my vintage Vanagon Westfalia like the second coming was upon us yelling: YOU CANT SLEEP HERE. I tell her I'm sorry and that I wasn't "sleeping," just dozed off while I was waiting for my clothes to finish. She says it doesn't matter I can't sleep! Then this guy behind the counter lunges at me, but instead of hitting me, slams his fist down on the counter and yells to GET OUT or they call cops. I tell them to go ahead and call the napping police, waste valuable city resources on this because someone is incapable of telling the difference between a man who dozed off while waiting for his laundry Vs someone sleeping there, like moved in for the night. I left. In fact I'm just across the street having a light roast coffee and a bagel and 2 patrol cars show up! ARE YOU SERIOUS? They actually called the cops out on a. Guy who dozed off for about 25min, and left when asked to leave. Volatile, unhappy employees here, who lack the humanity and dignity to be dealing with fellow humans. I wonder if they would serve you if this was a bakery or allow you to sit at the counter, if you catch my drift? MAGA to max types and I would avoid unless absolutely necessary. GROSS. read more

Pretty ridiculous! I took my hospital white coat to get it dry cleaned. Needed it by Monday, confirmed that it would be ready Monday, and they said yes. Well Monday was Labor Day; and so id understand if it wouldn't be ready but they said it wouldn't be. Otherwise I wouldn't have given it! Sure enough it wasn't ready, and I said that I needed my coat and that they'd need to bring it back from wherever ASAP. So first unreliable. Well they wet washed in a washing machine instead of dry cleaning it! When I specifically said dry cleaning! Second irresponsible! Dunno who gave them the right to decide on my behalf how it should get washed because they hadn't washed it the right way sooner. Disappointed with their carelessness. read more

I advise anyone I know that if you remotely care about the item of clothing to NEVER bring it to Curtis Cleaners. We brought them my wedding dress to JUST BE CLEANED. Nothing else, not persevered or any other options that a wedding dress can have. It came back with extreme fraying on every seem. It came back with stitching missing and a shoulder pad no longer attached. On top of all of that the dress bag came back sticky on the entire 1/4 of the bag.. They apologized and took the dress back to see what they could do. Mind you they never once told us that something had happened, we had to notice all the mistakes and then call them. They also apologized for that. We gave them the dress back to see what they could do with it. Their only two options were they couldn't take anything in because it would ruin the dress OR give me the money I paid for my dress, but have to keep my dress for insurance purposes. Neither of options rectify the damage they did to the dress. In both cases I am losing. So for you to not go through what I am, please never go to them with any garment of clothing you remotely care about. Not to mention they never gave us a refund for the original cleaning. As a business they should have something else in place when things of this nature happen. read more

I go here on a weekly basis and have never had a problem with getting a machine during the day, but every once in a while on a weeknight you might have to wait for a machine if you have more than 2 loads. It's not really a frustrating place to go in terms of people, either. I've never experienced people talking loud on their cell phone or anything irritating like that. There's an occasional cute little kid running around, but it's not a huge place, so there's not much place for them to cause much havoc. I don't know how the prices compare to other laundromats in the area. read more

Wash and Fold service is fantastic... Dry Cleaning is very pricey!! Also cannot get a price quote up front for dry cleaning which can be frustrating if you need to budget. I just spent over $77 for 11 piece of dry cleaning (which included a small $15 package of wash and fold). Will definitely continue using the wash and fold - not dry cleaning... read more

Really great service, clean establishment and it's cooler in the summer than anywhere with air conditioning!!! The employees and owners regularly walk around cleaning things up and smiling/greeting patrons. Great local establishment!! read more

I only came here because my fav laundromat Lonely Sock Laundry closed. A nice worker here gave me the rest of her detergent for a dollar. They also have extra large front load washers that costs 5.25 and allows you to add an extra wash or rinse (for more money). I like this because when I was able to wash at home I would routinely rewash big loads or heavily soiled things twice. I find this highly inconvenient and expensive to do at the laundromat. I was able to wash three comforters, a mattress pad and some other laundry and all had plenty room. I was able to dry on hot and have everything done in 45 mins. The only downside for me is that very crowded, cramped locations give me anxiety. The parking lot is always busy, and it's in a busy location that feels a little cramped on the inside. Lonely Sock was much more quiet and spacious. Perfectly good laundromat however. read more

I hate coming here but I keep going anyway. I finally moved into a new place but of course within a week the dryer broke. Anyway, I've probably been to Curtis like 7 or 8 times and at least 4 times, something of mine has gotten dirtier than it was before I washed it. One time my boyfriend's white Brooks Brothers shirt ended up with a big black mark... culprit? Random magnet stuck to dryer wall. GRRRRRRRR. If you can help it, find a better laundromat. read more

This has been my neighborhood spot for 30+ years. Only do laundry if home machines break down, but use it pretty regularly for dry cleaning. Sad experience tonight though. Had driven past sign advertising 20% off for 3 sweaters. There's a big sign on the corner & posters on the Windows. OK, I bring in 3 sweaters, all wool blend turtlenecks, and tonight I stopped in to pick them up. It's busy, I pay with a card, but getting to my car I'm thinking about the total & it seems pretty high. So I return to the shop & ask about the advertised discount and get a lot of bobbing & weaving " this is wool and silk" "this is a blouse" " xxx must have done this" "maybe they got separated at our processing facility". Eventually the helpful woman does the math by hand on paper & comes up with the amount I was overcharged. [in the meantime 2 other customers are waiting patiently] I'm told if I "need to have the money in my hand right now" she can give me a cash refund - or I can get a credit - but when I asked how that happened or if I would have some evidence of said credit, it seemed it she would need to call her boss - who would need to OK it & put it in their system.....so I took the cash. What's sad is she said she would get in trouble with her boss for giving me the money - too bad that line staff don't have the authority to correct mistakes. So I spent way more time than I planned & I still don't know if there's a way to prevent a reoccurrence. I'm just getting more confused read more

As a previous rater mentioned, my clothes were dirtier comning out of the dryer than going into the washer! I was so frustrated when I left there. When I walked into the laundromat I noticed big signs that stated if you want a brighter, cleaner wash to use the front load washers. What the sign really should say is "if you want to ensure your clothes are clean don't use the top load washers". My gym clothes still smelled of b.o. and my towels smelled mildewy (how they smelled when I put them in the washer). I had to go to my parents that night and re-wash everything; exactly what I was trying to avoid by paying the money at the laundromat. Don't go there....period....I don't trust these people. $15 lost and a lunch hour I will never get back. read more
