Currys - They put me on hold for over 1 hour and 40 mins and then they cut the line. Disgusting.

Selection: Has everything, I guess Value: Same as everywhere else, some online outlets elsewhere could be cheaper. I walked intoday, a group of staff all gathered around chatting. I stood beside my intended purchase, looked aorund, trying to make eye contact with a staff member. If they could be bothered doing more than avoiding eye contact or looking at their mobile phones, they may have made an easy sale. This is not the first time. But I guarantee... it is the last

I contacted Curry's, figuring since I bought the merchandise there, they could help me. The man on the phone, immediately accused me of dropping my netbook, and told me to come in. The attitude of the salesperson put me off, but I went in anyway. I spoke to the manager, and the manager told me he wanted me to package the netbook up, and have the manufacturer fix it. This is the catch! I have to make all the arrangements MYSELF, and they passed the buck onto Acer, calling it an "Äcer" problem, not a Curry's problem. And, to accuse me of dropping a netbook is absurd? Since when is it customary to treat customers like liars? I spoke calmly to the Manager, and requested a new netbook since this one is faulty, and a new motherboard would cost MORE than the netbook. The manager would not budge, said contact Acer. "Not our problem." I would like Curry's to acknowledge this is a legitimate complaint, and would offer a replacement. The netbook stopped working in my hands, before it powered down. Their Customer Service skills are horrid, along with their accusations, and their attitude towards me, like I was trying to cheat them or something, when I think they were projecting. I will never shop there again! I belong to an online community of Technicians, and I will blog about their poor service on the net, to make sure no one makes the same mistake I've made, which was SHOP AT CURRY'S. Sincerly, Zander Kane.

The day for the fitting came, but no one arrived. Having taken a day off work I called about mid-morning and was informed they were loading the van and would be leaving once they'd had a cup of tea - turns out I could have taken half a day off work. They left the door front door to the house open for 2 hours - despite it being below 10 degrees outside. we also have a dog, who thankfully didn't wander off. The one room was completely empty and newly painted, they scuffed the walls and then refused to admit it was them. They might remove and replace the furniture, but they don't do it carefully. They bent the legs of our bed, and we had to get it fixed before it could be slept on again. They left an awful mess and when I phoned to complain, the answer from Ron Taylor was " Cleaning up is not part of the service.". I really wouldn't recommend them, customer service is non existent. You'd be better off with a big chain, we thought we'd support a local supplier and it has cost us a fair amount in time and money to get things back to where they were before the "Ron Taylor Carpet debacle".

Staff were busy looking at paperwork, and did not ask if we needed assistance. When we asked, the response was abrupt.
