My wife and I, wanting to try something new, thought we would give this restaurant a go. Unfortunately, our fist visit also will be our last. The problems were part service and part food. Regarding service, we found a table and our drink and appetizer orders were taken quickly. After the appetizers were one, it would be a bit before we again would be visited by wait staff, and then only because we called out to one of them several times. After we were through eating and I was certain I was not going to be offered a second glass of coke, I walked over and asked one of the staff what we had to do to get someone to check on us. He replied that we should wave and "if we notice you, we'll stop by." I could only say, "Really? If you notice us?" I was offered excuses, such as how busy the restaurant was, but I couldn't help pointing out that the restaurant had several empty tables. It was just pretty disorganized. The food: "where every bite is a delight." We tried both the vegetable and meat samosas, and found both had good crunch and little flavor. The four goat chops ($17.95) were small, with little meat on each, and were heavily spiced. As for the Gosht Khor Platter ($29.95), the chicken and beef kabobs were seasoned such that the taste between the two was indistinguishable. The garlic naan was okay, but the chunks of garlic were large and noticeable. We didn't finish the food and we chose not to box up what we didn't eat. Since we were still hungry when we left, we went to Baskin-Robbins, which both satisfied and rid us of the taste of the restaurant food. Curry Masala may be right for others, but the reviews suggest that at least some have had a similar experience and we do not intend to visit again. It just wasn't worth it. read more

We always order carry out, and the last two times our order has not been ready when promised, has been missing items, and has not complied with special requests. (Seriously, how hard is it to leave to cilantro off the top of something?) The food here is amazing! I had hara bhara (a mint based curry) with goat; the meat was fork tender and perfectly spiced. My wife had butter shrimp curry which was equally delicious. The naan was perfect for picking up the curry, as well. We're going to bring my sister in law here when she comes to visit next week; I can't wait. We have ordered take out several times from Curry Masala. The food has always been delicious. We ordered take out yesterday and it was even better than before! Our experience with the quality of food at a variety of restaurants during the coronavirus has not always been positive, so we were thrilled that Curry Masala was exceptional! As with some other reviews, we noticed the quantity of meat was lacking but the flavor was great! This time the meat was as expected and the flavor was perfect! This place is great! The staff is so extremely nice and the whole atmosphere is really cozy. I got the chicken tikka masala with basmati rice and naan and my partner got the beef seekh naan wrap. Visited here for the first time for lunch with the husband! He loves Indian food and he said this was the best he's ever had! DELICIOUS! We had the daal lentil soup and curry masala soup AMAZING! Then for entrees I got the chicken Vindaloo Masala and he got the Goat Vindaloo Masala sooo FLAVORFUL! Oh and let's not forget the garlic naan FLUFFY and DELICIOUS! One of the few Indian restaurants in the area I loved the food quality even during these Corona times there not taking short cuts.. Family owned and u can tell there really passionate just by seeing the amazing decor has to be the best designed restaurant I ever seen... Now the chicken bryani was one of the best dishes I ever had.. Not too spicy and full of spices and cloves like other places that add every nut and spice but it is indeed just right .. FINALLY a great Pakistani restaurant in the north houston area. There have been a lot of places with great food (shout out to Bundu Khan) but the ambiance is always lacking. As a Pakistani it was always embarrassing to bring a non Pakistani person to places with our cuisine because majority of them lack the ambiance and cleanliness. Curry Masala to the rescue. The food is amazing, the quality of meat is great. Prices are higher than other places and portions are smaller but the quality speaks volumes. The menu is vast and choices are plenty. We got the onion pakora, beef seikh kabob and chicken tikka masala. All were wonderful and it didn't feel like a brick in the stomach after we were done. We topped off our meal with some Pakistani chai. All in all, amazing food, amazing experience. The owners had delayed the opening because they took time with every detail that comes with the experience. I encourage others to come and I will definitely be bringing guests with me next time! read more

Went by here with my family after hearing they opened and was so excited and happy to report it is as good as we were hoping. There is a buffet but we ordered mostly off the menu that has much better options and it was delicious. The food came out right away, the service was fast and friendly, the decor is nice, restaurant is clean. We are so happy to finally have a good pakistani restaurant on the North side and in Spring! The owner was very nice and came up to each table, introduced himself, and asked if there was anything they could do to improve the experience and future which I thought was great. Finally, mango lassi was delicious, very authentic flavor not the fake pulp flavor that other places have. Definitely recommend for anyone who enjoys indian or pakistani food. Buffet prices seem very reasonable too--maybe more meat options other than chicken would be good too. read more

Definitely worth the wait. The restaurant is beautiful and the food and service deserve 5 stars. You can tell that everything was carefully planned. I wish I had remembered to take some photos. Also, everybody was really welcoming and helpful. When we went there was a buffet set up with a lot of options--salad, rice dishes, vegetables, a few different types of chicken. I had a chance to sample most of the items and everything I tried was really good. They also had a mojito drink that I loved. Tried this place for the first time today. The food we ordered tasted great AFTER we scraped off all the cilantro. The menu said nothing about cilantro, so we didn't know we needed to request no cilantro. So for you anti-cilantro people like us, be sure and let them know you do not want any.
