The Indian flavors of the food at Curry Leaves in the Hala Koszyki food hall were completely on point, but what really made this dining experience memorable was the super generous and hospitable owner. The second I approached the stall, he smiled and handed me a menu, asked about my preferences, and happily accommodated each of my requests. My pick was the chana masala, a curry made with chickpeas in a tomato-onion sauce with a bold mix of spices. I asked for this dish to be made spicy, and they completely delivered with a piping hot bowl of goodness. Another highlight of this stall was their tandoor oven, where they baked fresh, thin, crispy naan breads with all sorts of different toppings--I chose the black onion seed and the coconut, both of which were nicely aromatic and had a slight crunch.
