Tuk Tuk calls itself "street food" and I'm not sure exactly what that means, but it was delicious. I convinced my food and fun-loving Canadian colleague to join me, and we went off in search of Thai food. When you arrive, make sure to enter the door to the left otherwise you'll end up eating Vietnamese food upstairs. which wouldn't be bad - just not what you came for. We made our visit around 2pm. It wasn't too croweded, which was a plus. We were able to order and get a seat outside. You've got to maximize your opportunities for outdoor eating while you can. Autumn is rolling into Warsaw as I write this review. I ordered the Thai Basil because I was craving something not too spicy that would come with rice. I was rewarded with a plate full of verdant color and chicken cooked to the perfect texture. The rice was the perfect sticky (but not too sticky) consistency, and I was happy with the portion size. My friend ordered a different plate (I can't remember now), and her portion was a little larger. I would have had too much if I'd have ordered hers. We sampled the spring rolls. I'm not sure exactly what was in the spring rolls. They were good, but I could be convinced that there was cheese in it. It's not surprising though. We're in Poland. There seems to be cheese everywhere. So why not in your spring rolls too? The Mango drink was tasty too - and I was a happy camper with my first authentic Asian food experience in Warsaw. I like that you order at the counter, and wait with a beeper for your food. It eases the fear of having to speak too much Polish. On my next visit, I'm going to go for a curry. I saw others eating this from large, round bowls that were calling my name. MMM...

It's so small that even outside you feel a little claustrophobic. Fortunately after couple seat changes we discovered few tables at their garden. We got spring rolls, tom kha soup, Thai basil with chicken and vege Panang curry. And surprisingly they all came together. I have to admit that Spring rolls were my favorite part of tuk tuk. Perfectly fried dough and fresh ingredients. Mniam. Soup was good too. Portion not big but Kasia was happy about special Thai mushrooms that were in the soup. I love curry, every kind, the spicer the better. This one was ok. Not spicy, lots of vegetables. Thai Basil was good too. Even though everything was good and fresh we left a little bit disappointed. It was just ok. But if you ask me about it in couple days I probably not going to remember what I had there. Good things: it's a great deal and main courses are big enough that we will have it for lunch tomorrow.

My whirlwind trip to Warsaw last week found me spending a lot of time in Zloty Tarasy. On a Monday…read moreafternoon, after an interview, I was hungry and in need of something comforting. I wandered a bit through the mall, until I made my way up to Level 3 and found Thai Wok. I thought that I would be happy with Thai food, and I was actually pleasantly surprised to find that they had Pho. Pho seems to cure everything. So I ordered Pho z kurczakiem (chicken). I had to wait for a bit as it was prepared (heated up maybe). It only took about 7 minutes, and in that time I found a spot to drop my bookbag and heavy coat. My buzzer buzzed to let me know my meal was ready, and I collected it. The large bowl was STEAMING hot, and it came with sides of sliced garlic and sriracha (I think that's what it was). The soup itself contained a large quantity of noodles, and green onion and coriander/cilantro floated throughout the broth. There were a smattering of sprouts already at the bottom of the bowl. White meat chicken was sliced thin and actually quite good considering the fast food nature of the restaurant. Taking a chance, I dumped the garlic in, and stirred it up. And I ate it all. It was salty and made me feel good. Pho is a comfort food for me, and being in Warsaw alone with my possessions on my back after an interview- I was happy for any kind of comfort! Does this compare to the authentic pho I've had back home from true Vietnamese owners? No. Was it bad? Not a all. Would I eat it again? Yes considering the other options for fast food in Zloty Tarasy.

The only problem is it's hard to full after that meal - unless you buy two boxes of it :D. Also price is quite high for such portion. Sometimes the level of spiciness of the dish differs.

Australia. Best sushi? Colorado, and while Namaste India wasn't the best Indian food I've ever had, it was truly excellent. Star 1: How was the service and atmosphere? Well, yes, there was one drawback, but it's honestly not something I can necessarily hold against Namaste India. On the particular Saturday that I walked through NI's doors during a long stay in Warsaw, it was a relatively warm 80* F+. Hot? Not necessarily, but considering Namaste India doesn't have air conditioning, sitting inside was nearly unbearable, and without any room outside, I really didn't have a choice. Outside of that however, service was fast and friendly. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? Admittedly, I threw a bit of a fit when I saw the prices for everything I ordered. Have a look: http://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=Ap7Ihs5qMpKPqO4s0MQxvQ&userid=OKX-V5j_qfuOebeHeWGrHg 49 polish zlots? That's $16 US! Pretty steep I initially thought, but this was truly a massive portion surely intended to feed two. That being the case, $8 isn't bad at all for a good Indian meal. Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? As I mentioned, while this wasn't the best Indian I've ever had, my Chicken Vindaloo was very, very good with only a few exceptions - Bread: Alright, so the garlic naan was weak. Too thin, inconsistently seasoned, and lacking the light and fluffy but moist element that really makes naan worth it Rice: The rice? It was okay. Cooked well, but pretty standard Chicken Vindaloo: Alas, this is where the meal shined. Moist chicken, fiery but flavorful sauce, and a consistency that mixed brilliantly with the rice and naan. Excellent. Single Star Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? Again, not the best Indian I've had in the world, but without question the best in the city of Warsaw. Namaste India deserves four. Star Granted.
