The owner and his wife run the restaurant, and it shows--every recipe is his wife's, and each dish tastes thoughtful, intentional, and made with care. The owner took the time to walk us through the menu, guiding us on where to start and sharing his personal recommendations, which made the experience feel welcoming and special. He recommended his top dish is the Chicken 555. It is soooo good, very tender. Their buffet runs from 11 AM to 7 PM, which is almost unheard of since most places end around 2-3 PM. This isn't your typical buffet food either, everything was made fresh!! The meats were soft and tender, the curries were rich and flavorful, and not a single dish was watery. Every bite was perfectly balanced and deeply satisfying. The cherry on top is the Mango lassi is included with the buffet! It's super creamy, refreshing, and absolutely delicious. I used to frequent this place a couple of work lifetimes ago and it was a favorite. 10 of us for lunch on rotation and the place was hopping during weekdays. All you can eat buffet stretching from wall to wall. Unlimited mango lassi. Tablecloths and drinks served in actual glasses. Yesterday, I brought the parental units to show off this lovely place and sad to say I guess times have become tough. The buffet was half its previous glory, part of the dining room has become storage and the office. All excusable and passable, but the most noticeable change was the quality of the food. The naan was a thin pita version of its old self. The butter chicken was not creamy and buttery delicious as it used to be. Samosas were nowhere to be seen. Fluffy rice became crunchy kernels inside a plastic bowl under the steel roll top. The mango lassi tank was replaced with pre-packaged plastic cups in a serve-yourself fridge limited to 2 per customer. There were reminders of the flavors I remembered from pre-Covid days, but only 3 occupied bare tables at lunch time on a Saturday speaks for itself. Soaring prices, dated spaces, disappearing tablecloths, limited service and shrinking menus are all signs of the times, but imho survival would depend on the quality of the food it offers. We were craving their buffet & stopped by at 7:19 pm on a Friday night. We walked in & the waitress told us the buffet closed at 7pm. She said "It's 7:19, so it's after 7". What the?? Closing at 7pm on a Friday night? Not sure if it was just tonight but the way the waitress said it, it seems like that's their regular time. We saw 2 people stop by to pick up to-go orders while we were there. I wish that the buffet closure at 7pm was listed anywhere on yelp or their website that the buffet closes at 8pm. We were planning on ordering a la carte, but considering the value of $25 per person (with kids under 5 free), we opted to do the buffet instead. The buffet included soft drinks and delicious mango lassi. The food was flavorful, and my group enjoyed the meal, particularly at the price point. So the food itself is good, many different tasty curries and such. The tikka masala is really good and they make their Nan fresh for you. If you go at a weird time however, such as around 3 pm which is when I went, their food is really limited and they're not inclined to put out more. They said they were out often mint chutney and aloo gobi. They also don't put out any fresh food. I get it doesn't strategically make sense but If they have times open and charge the same prices, I feel they should offer the same quality of food instead of feeling like we're eating leftovers. That being said, I'm still rating this place a 4 because the food that they did have out was very tasty. read more

This is a wonderful restaurant for people/families with vegetarians. The food here is consistently good! They do do a buffet for $25 in addition to having 1, 2 and 3 entree plates here, but we always get food to go since we often have full schedules. I ordered the 2-entree bistro box combo with chicken 555 and chicken curry. The chicken 555 was fried chicken marinated in a spicy, red sauce. It wasn't amazing but I did love the chicken curry. It had a good amount of spice and tasted amazing with garlic naan. The bowl comes with a lot of rice which is plenty enough for both entrees but I'm a bigger fan of naan. This is my 2nd time visiting. Today, I came from Orange County, drove to Diamond Bar to have a full buffet of Indian food. You can't beat the price at $25 for as much as you can eat of Indian food that includes as much Garlic Naan as you want, soups, salad, ice cream their way and all the famous Indian curry chickens you've probably ever had right here. They don't hold back on the curry so you experience the tastes you're looking at. Personally, my favorite is the "Butter Chicken" and their special "555" which is so tasty but has spice. You end your meal with a mango juice which relieves your pallet to go have some more chicken when eating spicy. You can take your child there. Normally you have to pay for 2 buffets, but the waitress "Marlene" can understand if your child cannot eat much. Therefore, maybe just order the 1 item combo. You cannot share your buffet food with your child in all fairness to the prices they offer. This is definitely a go to place. It is delicious, tasty and finishes off well your craving for Indian food or trying a bit of all Curry Indian food at opening 11am to taste the foods fresh' made. Literally THE BEST Indian food I've ever had in my life ! I heard such great things about Curry India Bistro from my boyfriend and I finally got to try it out and now I am addicted. The way the sauce is so flavorful and perfectly spiced + the chicken is so buttery and melts into your mouth. The prices here are super affordable ! We ordered to-go but they have a dine in buffet for $25 which is not bad at all -- a steal for authentic quality Indian food. Me and my boyfie both ordered 2 entrees with rice at $15 a plate (to-go) which is so worth it esp because they don't skimp out on the sides here ! (My experience was from a visit back around early 2024, so hopefully things have improved since then, especially since I see they still have plenty of good reviews.) Sad to say, things have gone downhill. We used to be diehard fans of this place and long-time customers since before the pandemic, and we supported them all throughout with their to-go items. But when we went back to try the buffet again, it just wasn't the same. Prices had gone up, which is totally understandable, but the quality was lacking. Some dishes were especially disappointing: * Naan wasn't freshly cooked and turned soggy sitting in the chafing dish. * Chicken 555 actually had raw bits in it. When I told the staff, the response was basically "try another piece." Not acceptable. Only after I pushed did they recook it. * Palak paneer was flavorless. * Tandoori chicken just didn't taste the way it used to. * Tamarind chutney was watered down and lacked the rich body it once had. On top of that, we had to prepay for the buffet, which also included the tip. Normally, I'd assume that would cover service, but the staff even asked us to bus our own plates. We came in on New Year's Day and we're pleasantly surprised that they open! The lunch buffet is $25 pp and comes with drinks. The service was excellent- everyone was very nice and attentive! The drinks (mango lassi, coke, and waters) are self serve towards the back of the room and each person can have 2 drinks! The mango lassi was a little watered down so it was less thick and sweet, but I liked it that way! The buffet felt very fresh and the food was in covered trays and warm. There were several vegetarian options as well as naan and basmati rice. My boyfriend, who eats meat, tried all the chicken options and said he enjoyed all of them. This place used to be amazing--honestly one of my go-to spots--but after COVID it has gone downhill. Everything feels lazy now: most items are premade, dine-in options are basically nonexistent, and the overall effort just isn't there anymore. The worst part? They said they don't have chai. An Indian restaurant with a sign saying they have chai... and they're just casually like "yeah, no chai." That's honestly wild. Staff seemed more like they were just hanging out than running a restaurant. Really disappointing compared to how good this place used to be. Not only was the food delicious, but the price matched the quality! Just for reference, I paid $16.99 for a 16 oz container of tikka masala at another Indian restaurant. I paid $18.99 for a tikka masala pizza here that gave generous portions of meat and toppings to feed a family of four - now THAT is worth the price. Their best dish has to be the chicken 555, it has a kick but it is so flavorful. We stumbled upon this place while looking for the Tesla car chargers. A spacious place with AYCE for $25 or small orders for $18. The AYCE comes with a drink also and a desert. 2.5 Stars. Why do I fall for these influencers?? I was so excited to try this place. Got here at 5:45pm on a Thursday night. Drove by when parking. Nobody inside. Walked up to look through the glass. Really, nobody inside. Signage outside had two end times. One said 7pm, the other sign said 8pm. Whelp, we drove all the way from Arcadia to try, so we went in. You pay up front, $25 for buffet (+ tax=$27.82). Sit wherever you like. We were the only table for an hour before anybody else walked in. All the buffet food were in chafing dishes. Picked foods like goat soup, butter chicken, veggie samosa, fish curry, goat curry, tandoori chicken, daal, spinach paneer, rice, etc. There were more misses than hits. Naan bread is ok. The texture was more like tortillas. Mango lassi is ok. Everything was like warm. The few standouts for me are the goat curry and tandoori chicken. My friend liked the fish curry dish. I mean, everything was edible. Lots of can soda, bottle water and mango lassi in the fridge. The only dessert was this "shaved ice" in some sort of milk sauce. Dining room and buffet set up was nice and inviting. Plenty of parking. Somebody came in and ordered takeout. The server just got a Togo container and got the food from the buffet. I'm really confused by the extremely high reviews. I feel like they're inflated by bribery or something. I came in on a weekday about 5:30pm. No one was dining in the restaurant except 2 people. I mentioned to the hostess table for 2. They had a thick accent and I couldn't understand what they said so I asked for them to repeat themselves. They said it again and I looked at my friend. We both were confused. At this point I could feel an attitude as they had to repeat themselves again. By now I understood what they said and they said BUFFET?!? We have a buffet here you know? I just said Oh no, no buffet. It's our first time. Really confused by the terrible customer service, I still decided okay I'll STILL dine here which was a big mistake. They proceed to tell us we need to order now before sitting which I thought was strange. We were then trying to figure out what to order and ultimately chose a pizza and a 2 item combo: rice, chicken tikka and vegetables korma. We get seated and they bring our food in those meal prep, take away containers. I was EXTREMELY confused as I'm supposed to be "dining in." When the food was dropped off, they already forgot what we ordered which confused me even more because they had the order ticket in their hand. So they kept asking us to confirm what we ordered and we figured out they gave us the wrong order then said we could just keep it. We thought they were going to fix the situation by giving us our vegetable korma but minutes went by and nothing. We had to flag them down and explain we wanted the vegetable korma because my friend is a vegetarian. The food itself was okay or average at best. It wasn't the worst meal but for the price point, the quality showed. Chicken tikka had no flavor and the extra meat product which im not sure what it was, was actually not bad. A little salty but had some flavor. I tried my friend's vegetable korma and it was quite bland. Almost to the point of zero flavor. The pizza was incredibly terrible. It just felt like cheap dough with no flavored sauce and cheese on top. We ordered a vegetarian version with what seemed like a mixed medley blend of frozen veggies placed over it. The only thing I could taste was the cheese. Extremely strong flavor but at least there was flavor on that pizza. As we were eating, we werent offered utensils or anything like that. We simply got our utensils ourselves at this point. Eventually i wanted water so I flagged them down. They informed us we had to pay for our own water. So now we had to get back to the register and pay for water bottles. Ive never dined at a restaurant that doesnt offer water to it's patrons. Overall, I would say 3/10. The food quality is bad, the customer service is quite terrible and everything needed work overall. Given the higher price point and sub par quality, I will never come back. The buffet includes water and sodas, and 2 mango lassi. The food is delicious, my favorites include their chicken 555, butter chicken and lamb curry! Perfect for dipping the garlic naan.
