The shop is on Lexington Ave., NOT in the Apple Bank. Although CXI has many locations, including the JFK Airport, I felt more comfortable going to the Lexington Ave. store. CXI is very fortunate to have Eka as she is an exemplary employee.

They buzz you in and the desk is located right in the lobby when you walk in. Luis Melo helped me and he was great. He explained everything You show ID No transaction fee . WOW! I changed $200 and got like 680AED . I checked with airport to see what they would give and it was only 600AED with a $10 transaction fee. I think I did well! Only thing was that I wanted more smaller bills in AED so I don't have to worry about breaking it up when doing transactions in Dubai. But I will manage. After setting up an appt and going through their on site identification process, Keisha was a consummate professional with the currency exchange. She confirmed the total amount, counted the currency multiple times for both of us to view, and provided the receipts with every detail of the transaction. Keisha also reiterated, that if there was any currency that was left over, I could return and they would return it back to U.S. currency. I was beyond satisfied with this currency exchange site and are highly recommend. Just make sure to make an appt, in order to ensure that they'll have the currency on site.

However on another occasion at a different Bank, I was able to withdraw. It just goes to show the competence of the employees. The service charge here at A&S is certainly less than what you would pay at a bank. When you reach the address on the eastern side of Broadway around 32nd Street, you will enter a separate business, passing the counter displays on your right, and walk to the rear of the business to access A&S. This may be the only thing a person could find suspicious, but this is NYC and many businesses operate within another business. Get used to it. Some of the best finds operate this way and sometimes even more unexpectedly. The Gentleman can exchange substantial sums of currency. A few thousand US dollars of most currencies are well within the capacity of A&S, especially for Euros or other common currencies. I imagine if you are traveling to certain countries, you may want to call in advance to see if he has you covered. He will transact the exchange quickly and he has a bill counter that can count different denominations in the same stack accurately. You should bring an envelope for your currency and your passport or passport ID. He does not provide an envelope. 4.0 stars!
