I used Curran's flowers for my wedding this past summer. I worked with Gayle, who was friendly, quick to respond to emails, and very creative. During our first meeting, I showed her some inspiration photos, but what she produced turned out much better than the photos and better than I could have imagined! She designed a beautiful cascading bride's bouquet for me with air plants and succulents mixed in, as well as lantern centerpieces and flower arrangements for the ceremony. She went above and beyond during the process, such as by suggesting a creative idea for air plant favors that matched our theme. May do beautiful flowers but mislead consumers about delivery. Even spending 100 on arrangement want more money to guarantee delivery in addition to delivery fee. I requested early and as of 2pm was not on truck. Told me they were busy. Didn't tell me that when I paid. Paul d owner too busy to speak. Interesting he only responds to positive reviews. Cute and inviting little shop, the kind where you want to just pull up a chair and hang out all day. We were in town a few days visiting family and needed some flowers. Currans was recommended and we were not disappointed. The front of the shop is a florist shop and the back half is a greenhouse full of wonderful blooming plants that alone are worth the visit. Curran's has always been my "go to" florist, and today was no exception. I ordered a spray ( a couple of days ago ) for the cemetery that I was to pick up on the way. The young lady who took the order over the phone was not overwhelmed by my special requests. She was attentive to detail and did not try to rush me to clear the phone. We live on the South Shore and weren't sure about florists in Danvers. The funeral home let us know that the family had gone to Currans. I spoke with a very helpful person at Currans and she walked me through several ideas and options. I asked about adding hydrangea to a smallish choice. She said it would be no problem. Also, the delivery fee was only $5! We went to the wake and were so pleased with the beautiful arrangement. It is a really cute shop that has been in business for years. They have a small greenhouse off the store for retail where they sell flowering and foliage plants. Curran's has been my 'go to' florist for over 20 years so when one of my dear Red Hat sisters passed away recently, our chapter looked to send a special 'red hat' arrangement for the reception following the memorial service. I stopped by Curran's, gave a brief description of what I wanted and left a small red hat ornament to be added to the arrangement. I requested that the arrangement have deep reds and purples (the colors for the Red Hat Society) and told the young woman that I trusted their judgement and to pick out whatever flowers and accents they believed would work best. When we arrived to the reception, people immediately started commenting to us on how beautiful the flowers were that we'd sent!! We were thrilled at how stunning the colors were in the arrangement and we couldn't have been more pleased! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!! Do not use these people! Ordered purple rose wristlet for my moms 90th Birthday! After ordering it and paying in full I received a phone call that they may not have purple roses available! Could they use other purple flowers other than roses! I said absolutely not! This was on a Monday the owner said he'd call me on Tuesday if he couldn't get them! I never heard from him so my bad figured it was a go! I went to pick wristlet up on Saturday and much to my surprise it was made of pink roses!!! I did get my money back! But that didn't help! No phone calls back or apologies! Granted it was only a $40 wristlet and not a wedding reception order but this business cannot be trusted! I guess they are new owners and don't care about their rep! Which is sad because I had used them in the past and been very pleased! My boyfriend sent me roses for our anniversary...beautiful red roses. They were exceptional! I have to say that they were exceptionally fresh and lasted 2 weeks. The were the long stemmed with the large full blossoms. He was so pleased because I had them for two weeks as a beautiful reminder and he also commented on the value. Many times you purchase roses for $100 and they do not last nor are they the best quality. I have to say that he had sent my mumma roses a few months before sending mine and he had purchased them from Curran's and they lasted 2 weeks also. Bravo to Currans! After many years of disappointing teleflora or 1800 flowers deliveries, I had stopped sending flowers, and had switched to chocolates and edible arrangements, because they were consistently better quality and cheaper. For our 14th Anniversary, I decided to send my fiance flowers at work as a surprise. Instead of being disappointed by a national online impersonal warehouse, I searched for a nearby local florist and rediscovered Curran Bros. I remembered going in to the greenhouse years ago, and enjoying the feel of this family-run business. They were so nice on the phone and knew exactly what I wanted (even though I couldn't articulate it very well), knew the address I gave them, and delivered a gorgeous arrangement to my very pleased fiance well before the time I thought it would take. I have been a long time customer. Ordered a boutonniere for a dance tonight. Order placed several days ago. On arrival this morning was told the flowers were "not really in season" and the ones they had were not good so they offered a substitute. The replacement was not acceptable but due to the original delay, had to suffice. Called later to discuss and was told the manager was the only person who could help. My go to place for plants and flowers, always get help quick and they give me detailed information on any plants that I get there. They have a display right at the register that has a ton of rosed too, so if something comes up they make it easy to grab a dozen roses and go. They are good at the more high end stuff too, always willing to put the extra on their bouquets and displays. read more

"These are the Best Flowers I have every received". That's what my Mom said when I called. I ordered the small Garden Basket for Mother's Day. My Mom is 96 so believe me, she has received a lot of flowers over the years. She said they were so beautiful she left them on her hall shelf so all the other residents at her retirement community could see them. She was just thrilled and so was I. Sorry I cannot agree with the above poster. My hubby just brought home a big bouquet for my b-day. Sweet! But, unfortunately the roses were dead aroung the tops and had brown outer petals. Hmmm...not so fresh maybe? Also the roses are a very light pink and were mixed with orange peruvian roses, yellow mums, orange gerber daisies, purple astralmaria, purple irises, baby's breathe, and some fuschia stems. Everything but the kitchen sink. If you are looking for inspired design and fresh flowers that will last, look elsewhere. Curran's should at least remove the dead outer petals from the roses before sending their work out into the world; especially the world of online reviewers. read more
