The place looks rundown. I was a bit confused with the non Mexican plates on the menu like chicken parm and turkey club. I didn't pick these items. I got the carne asada which was good. The steak was well cooked and seasoned. The side of rice and beans were okay. It wasn't to bad in price for the portions. Staff was fast and friendly. This place is would a try.

The best turkey dinner I've ever had !!!!

Let just start with I like turkey and all the fixings. But today I had the best turkey dinner ever ! The meal was a traditional thanksgiving meal. Roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, sautéed carrots with onions and the most incredible stuffing I have ever had in my life !!!! Loved it

My go-to neighborhood spot for a quick lunch or takeout. Highly recommended! The food is authentic, delicious and inexpensive. No matter what you order as a main entree, order a side of Pupusas... it goes with everything.

The name is deceiving. Went here for Latin style breakfast with siblings visiting from California. You will not be disappointed. Huge, delicious plate of food. Salsa scrambled eggs, black beans, plantains, fresh avocado, cheese, cream, green and red salsas. Top it of with an adorable waitress whom addresses you as mama. Great spot.

    Breakfast combo and pork tacos

I'm still in shock that this restaurant exists and I've already been here twice. Both times I've had exceptional service and delicious food. I've tried the breakfast combo, fried fish, and pork tacos. The fried plantain is PERFECT, I cannot stop praising this dish. Even though the plantain is deep fried, it's not excessively oily. I'm not usually a big fan of beans, but the way they season it here keeps me wanting more. Authentic, large portions and amazing prices! I will be bringing more friends to Curly's. Definitely a must-eat in Chelsea.

Good carne asada, nice portion too. Used it as both dinner and lunch and the meat was still savory and juicy the next day after being microwaved. I tried the pupusas and they were decent. Glad they had the complimentary chips and salsa, I could have eaten that all by myself. Overall, nice experience. Very attendant servers, I went during a weeknight, and I would come here again if I'm in the neighborhood.

    Pupusa's to go

So I've been to Curley's a few times now and the Pupusa's are excellent. The neighborhood not so much, I would avoid going after dark as the neighborhood gets very shady. That being said I would definitely return. The staff was friendly, the food came out reasonably quick. If you are looking for authentic El Salvadorian food, look no further.

The steak was cooked perfectly and it came with everything I was craving. Plus the refried beans, creama, eggs, plantains, chicharron, and warm tortilla--yum! The pupusa was different, as it's made with a different cheese here which the waitress did warn us. Because of this, it wasn't our favorite but still good. Overall this spot is popular in East Boston, I would definitely check it out! Also if you tell them it's your birthday they will sing to you and you get to wear the special hat :)

The prices are not good at all for the quality and portion size . The waiter took forever to just bring us water , never mind servicing us . Yikes ! The vibe feels like you're in a busy supermarket not warm at all . Parking is limited as they have no garage. Plus it's located near the Tobin bridge so no side street parking . You might have to walk like 2 blocks or less for a safe parking spot . Just always read the signs before parking .

Chicharron was great. - Arepa: looks like a tortilla, so not the typical thick arepas I'm used to. So felt like I paid $8 just for a tortilla and small block of cheese - Tostones con guacamole: I prefer my tostones to be crispier, but they had great taste. - Cazuela de Mariscos: Great flavor. I put it on top of rice and enjoyed it with the other food, otherwise too heavy/dense on it's own. I didn't enjoy the mussels (I love mussels). They were too gritty.
