The place looks rundown. I was a bit confused with the non Mexican plates on the menu like chicken parm and turkey club. I didn't pick these items. I got the carne asada which was good. The steak was well cooked and seasoned. The side of rice and beans were okay. It wasn't to bad in price for the portions. Staff was fast and friendly. This place is would a try.

The best turkey dinner I've ever had !!!!

Let just start with I like turkey and all the fixings. But today I had the best turkey dinner ever ! The meal was a traditional thanksgiving meal. Roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, sautéed carrots with onions and the most incredible stuffing I have ever had in my life !!!! Loved it

My go-to neighborhood spot for a quick lunch or takeout. Highly recommended! The food is authentic, delicious and inexpensive. No matter what you order as a main entree, order a side of Pupusas... it goes with everything.

The name is deceiving. Went here for Latin style breakfast with siblings visiting from California. You will not be disappointed. Huge, delicious plate of food. Salsa scrambled eggs, black beans, plantains, fresh avocado, cheese, cream, green and red salsas. Top it of with an adorable waitress whom addresses you as mama. Great spot.

    Breakfast combo and pork tacos

I'm still in shock that this restaurant exists and I've already been here twice. Both times I've had exceptional service and delicious food. I've tried the breakfast combo, fried fish, and pork tacos. The fried plantain is PERFECT, I cannot stop praising this dish. Even though the plantain is deep fried, it's not excessively oily. I'm not usually a big fan of beans, but the way they season it here keeps me wanting more. Authentic, large portions and amazing prices! I will be bringing more friends to Curly's. Definitely a must-eat in Chelsea.

Good carne asada, nice portion too. Used it as both dinner and lunch and the meat was still savory and juicy the next day after being microwaved. I tried the pupusas and they were decent. Glad they had the complimentary chips and salsa, I could have eaten that all by myself. Overall, nice experience. Very attendant servers, I went during a weeknight, and I would come here again if I'm in the neighborhood.

    Pupusa's to go

So I've been to Curley's a few times now and the Pupusa's are excellent. The neighborhood not so much, I would avoid going after dark as the neighborhood gets very shady. That being said I would definitely return. The staff was friendly, the food came out reasonably quick. If you are looking for authentic El Salvadorian food, look no further.

Not a fancy place but good, typical, Mexican food. Lots of wait staff and a "hiring" sign also. Large portions!

FOOD: The chips and salsa were a great start! We loved it so much we asked for extra, and kept some salsa to put on our food. I got the shredded beef El Potro Chimichanga. There was a lot of beef and cheese inside, and the beef had a lot of flavor! It was not crunchy outside but I didn't mind since it was yummy. My friend got the vegetarian enchiladas which had an assortment of vegetables inside including squash, zucchini, and carrots. Another friend got the nachos with chicken, which were each individually dressed! OVERALL: It is a cute restaurant and we all agreed that the food was very good! Definitely would come back.

The business is sort of in a house? It was small and kind of dark inside. It was definitely an interesting experience,,, The appetizer was reallyyy good, I forgot the name though... The mole however, was not very good. The mole was liquidy and the chicken was dry. Overall, I think this place is more for fun busy nights where you just drink and apps. We started off with two drinks- a frozen mangonada and this passion fruit drink. They were both solid but I liked the mangonada better because the passion fruit cocktail had too much pulp in it! For food, we started off with chips and guac. This guac was some of the best I've had. It was super fresh and you could tell exactly what ingredients they used. We also their pork ribs! The ribs fell off the bone and I loved the warm sauce except it was a tiny bit dry. The sauce was reminiscent of an umami bbq sauce. We decided to try their zucchini dish, as recommended by the manager! I don't love zucchini usually but I liked it. It was roasted with cheese, sauces, and some shrimp. Very creative, Lastly we got the tuna ceviche of the day. I didn't really like this because it was really heavy on the dill. I think it would've been good without it. However the presentation was gorgeous and it came with plantains. Overall the vibes are superb here for a date, girls night, or whatever!!

I live locally, we have been buying their food and supporting them for years, since before the pandemic. Last night we had other food from somewhere else around the corner and just wanted to get two regular / virgin pina coladas to go. But because this particular woman doesn't like black people, she did not want to serve us the drinks. Not only was her customer service terrible, she was also trying to extort / milk us for more money. whole time the store was closing in like 30 minutes, and it would've been smart to allow your business to earn more money even if it's small, on drinks while you get ready to shut the grill down. Instead, they wanted us to order something, they would have to rush to make it, and then rush us to eat it, and then kick us out because it was closing soon. Soooooo disappointing. I really need to remember to look online before choosing my order in the future (or so I thought). While the tacos still look incredible (especially the birria ones), the torta was surprisingly great as well. The sandwich is jam packed with ingredients and really well balanced. The beef was juicy and tender, and the veggies added a really nice balance of spice (jalapenos), freshness (onions, lettuce, and tomatoes), and richness (cheese and avocadoes). The refried beans were a pleasant surprise as well, adding really good moisture and flavor to the overall bite. And including avocado on the torta for no extra cost really is what put this above and beyond to a 5/5 - the avocado was ripe and had just the right amount of it to add that rich and fatty element without being too slippery and making it hard to eat. The fries, on the other hand, were a bit soggy and thick for my liking. I had seen another photo on Yelp where they looked a lot crispier and were shaped differently, so not sure if I just got unlucky, but the sandwich more than made up for the fries in this case. I really can't say enough positive things about the torta. And even though the torta was fantastic and I gave it a 5/5, I definitely want to come back for those tacos. Three tacos plus rice for $18 is a pretty great deal, and the tacos really look incredible. My partner ordered a tongue, al pastor, and fish taco and while I didn't try them, they looked and smelled incredible. We will definitely be back!
