I need a give a huge shoutout to Sprowl's Auto repair in Sturgis, MI. Yesterday I was on a road…read moretrip to Chicago, driving down I80 west when my F250 started doing the death wobble. I couldn't continue my drive to Chicago and I was a few hours from home. So I googled mechanics near me. I came across Sprowls, called and spoke with Andrew. I explained to him what was going on with my truck. He said to bring it in and he would get to me right away. Long story short we attempted a few quick easy fixes to try and get me back on the road to Chicago. None of them ended up working sadly. However, I really appreciate Andrew and his honesty. He could have easily of taken advantage of me. Being a female and not really understanding mechanics, I usually leave all that to my husband to handle. Most times in the past when I walk into an auto shop they throw everything at me to replace seeing me as an easy target to make money. That did not happen yesterday. In fact just the opposite. Andrew wasn't able to fix my truck and actually refused to let me pay him even though he spent his time looking at my truck and trying to repair it. My truck is now home and taken apart at our local shop and sounds like it will be a few days before repairs will be completed. I must say if I was local to this area without a doubt they would be my go to auto shop! You just can't ask for nicer or more honest people! Thank you Andrew and Sprowl's!

Dealership: Stykemain Chevrolet Individuals involved:…read more* Jesse Renollet - Sales Manager (claimed to be General Manager) * Brad Davis - Salesperson * Jim Stykemain - Owner Today we drove two and a half hours to look at a 2022 Ram 2500 diesel. I contacted the salesperson (Brad Davis) when the dealership opened and was upfront that we would want to negotiate in person. He was friendly, responsive, and professional throughout. When we arrived, the truck started and we were allowed to test drive it. Less than one mile into the drive, the truck lost power and began throwing warning messages. We were forced to pull over just off a busy highway in actual -10°F temperatures (not wind chill) with traffic flying by. The truck would not restart, and we were left sitting on the roadside with our hazards on in dangerous conditions. We attempted to contact the salesperson several times with no answer. We eventually reached the receptionist, who tried to transfer us to service, but no one answered. We explained that we were stranded, unsafe, and could literally see the dealership from where we were sitting. After some time, the salesperson and a service employee arrived and brought us back. The truck ultimately had to be towed back to the dealership. They suggested the diesel fuel may have gelled due to low fuel, which is plausible. Despite this, we were still willing to move forward with the purchase if the dealership was willing to work with us given the circumstances. That's when the attitude from management became the real problem. I approached the sales manager, Jesse Renollet, respectfully to discuss whether there might be any flexibility on price given that we had just been stranded in dangerous conditions after driving five hours round trip. His response was cold and dismissive: "The price is the price." No apology. No concern for safety. No acknowledgment of the situation. When I asked if the general manager was available, he said he was the general manager. I then asked about speaking with the owner. He asked, "Would you like to speak with him?" When I said yes, he turned as if he was going to call, then turned back with a sarcastic smirk and said, "Oh, I forgot, he's on his way to Florida." The interaction was condescending, dismissive, and unprofessional. To be clear, our salesperson was courteous and professional. This failure falls squarely on management. After everything that occurred, the dealership offered not a penny off the advertised price and even stated they would be raising the price the following week. Based on this experience, I strongly encourage others to read the reviews and take them seriously. This dealership does not value customer safety, customer service, or accountability. I will not return, and I will be sharing this experience publicly.
