I definitely recommend to my girlies who want to get back to healthy hair!! I got my hair done a month ago and I was so nervous!! I've been in countless chairs trying to get the texture and pattern I once had as a kid. Constantly disappointed, because no one truly taught me the proper steps to take care of my hair. Finally, I found this angel and she literally brought my curls back day 1. She showed me what products worked and what I need to do on my day to day routine to train my curls again. Without question, I purchased the products on Amazon (they are a little pricey!) but soooo worth it. The two photos show my hair today and my hair is so shiny and my curl pattern is healing and coming back right in time before summer!! People notice, compliment my hair and now ask me what my hair routine is. If you love yourself, do yourself a favor and book that appointment like NOW!!!!‍ read more

I absolutely LOVE my hair! I got my hair cut a couple weeks ago and it still styles perfectly! I can even wash and go with ease when I'm in a hurry. Chantell was so meticulous and patient as she cut my hair to the EXACT look I wanted (I showed her a few photos)! Chantell is a true artist! I have a lot of specific needs and concerns as my hair is super curly, frizzy, thin and fine. My hair actually looks thick with how she cut it! I feel a million times better about myself! Chantell took the time to teach me in detail how to properly care for my type of hair and how to style it and maintain it over time. I can't thank her enough for an excellent overall experience! Chantell created a calm and welcoming environment! Chantell is such a sweetheart as well as an expert! read more

Amazing experience, Chantell gave me a curly cut and highlights recently for my graduation photos and it came out exactly as I imagined! I was nervous about doing color and damaging my hair, but my curls are just as healthy as before. She provided education on the after care which was super helpful as well! I will 100% be back for more services in the future read more

Chantell was awesome. I reached out to her on Instagram for an appointment! she was engaging, friendly and accommodating. I told her my travel dates and she was able to fit me in! The salon is easy to find and offers a parking garage, with validation the cost is reasonable. When I arrived for my appointment I felt like I had known her for years. She talked to me about my hair and what I wanted. She then began to cut my hair and style it. I love it so much! She has since sent me product recommendations as well. Book with Chantell you will not be disappointed! read more

If I could give 10 stars, I would. I've been coming to Curly Cuts for Her for almost 20 years and she has set the bar for every person who has touched this head of mine when she wasn't avail. Rather than forcing a precision cut wet, she cuts your curls dry and according to your curl pattern, without overstretching them as she's cutting. She listens to exactly what you want, while still explaining what's flattering for your face shape and curls. She never product pushes and I always leave feeling like I should have gone even sooner. I've recommended countless people simply because I know it's worth it! Highly highly recommend for all my curly sues! read more

Curly Cuts for Her is where it's at! Chantell has cut, colored, and styled my curls at all lengths from super long and full to super-super short (see pic). What I love most is that she REALLY listens and you can tell it's an artistic love for her and a collaborative experience for me. Recently, I went because my hair was in BAD shape. I was loosing a ton of hair from nursing my little one, my scalp was dry, irritated and inflamed and I really just needed a comeback cut. Chantell counseled me on my scalp health (her suggestions worked wonders), restyled me to help hid the hair loss, gave me the kind of subtle highlights that didn't strip my already fine hair and made me feel like I was BACK!!! Thank you and I'll be seeing you soon, Curly Cuts for Her!! read more

Cliff's Notes Review: Chantell is AMAZING! She's part stylist, part educator, part therapist, and part empowering b@d@ss. She's endlessly knowledgeable, she really listens to you, and she delivers beautiful results. If you are struggling with your curls, or even if you're just looking for a way to love your curls a little more, I highly recommend Curly Cuts for Her. Full Review: I now fully understand why there are nothing but positive reviews for Curly Cuts for Her. Chantell is AMAZING!!! I'm not being even a little bit overdramatic when I say my experience was life changing. I have very thick, very curly hair that I have been unable to manage for decades. Going to salons has always been a nightmare for me because I have never met a stylist who wasn't overwhelmed by my hair. Usually going to a salon would make me feel like I had to apologize to the stylist for my hair simply being the way it is, and it usually ended with me dissatisfied and sometimes in tears. With Chantell, I knew within 10 minutes of sitting down the experience would be different. She immediately figured out what was causing the biggest issue with my hair, and addressed how to nurture it to a healthier state. I requested a curly cut and was fully prepared to have to do a big chop, but Chantell was able to preserve most of my length. She then walked me through the steps I need to take to get my curls to behave. Normally, I have a love/hate relationship with my hair (and the hate was winning). But by the end of my appointment, I was LOVING my hair so much, and for the first time ever, felt optimistic that I *could* actually manage my hair going forward. Added to that, Chantell is a genuinely nice person and her playlist was a whole vibe. This was without question the best hair experience of my life. Thank you so much Chantell!!! I will be back. read more

Chantell was an answer to my prayer. I am such a picky person when it comes to who styles my hair. I have been mislead by other stylists who assured me they could cut and style my curls. NOT!! Her knowledge of curly hair is phenomenal. She took her time guiding me through the entire process of cutting, color, highlights, etc. all of which I requested. She made sure I was completely comfortable and understood the entire process. Chantell is a lovely spirit with a peaceful personality. I guarantee you will not leave disappointed. I am over the moon with my new cut and color! I look forward to my next visit! read more

Thank you Chantell!!! I have been trying to find a great hairstylist for years in LA. My hair needed some TLC and she gave it just that. I walked out of there feeling fabulous and 5 pounds lighter. She also taught me how to manage and treat my hair. She is a true wizard with the shears. read more

Looking for a curly hair cut, individualized to you in a warm and inviting space? This is your spot. Chantell did such a fantastic job with my long, thick and wavy hair. During the pandemic, I started experimenting with using products and not straightening my hair. I started to notice more wave to my hair but because it's so heavy, it would often dry straight, especially in the front. I'm a little late to the game but after so many videos, special towels and products, I mostly had figured out what hadn't worked on my hair. Chantell spent time talking with me to understand what I wanted (to reduce some of the weight without removing too much length because I plan to donate my hair) and what I'd learned about my hair. In addition to the cut, she offered suggestions for different products based on what had and hadn't worked for me. She even showed me some curl training techniques that I've been using ever since. One of the other reviews described it as collaborative and that is 100% how it felt. I'm a few weeks out from my cut now and my hair is holding so much more wave in the front! Can't wait to see what happens once we cut some of the length off! Thanks, Chantell! read more

I booked a cut with Chantell in hopes of getting my confidence back and embracing my natural hair. I was holding onto damaged hair for years but didn't feel confident wearing my hair in anything other than protective styles. It took a lot of going back and forth before ultimately deciding I was ready for a change. I had a lot of questions before booking but Chantell was helpful and quick on advising me on the right services. The studio is located in Beverly Hills - parking is $4 with validation but if you get lucky there is street parking as well. It's on the first floor of an office building with easy access. As soon as I arrived, I was in love with her cute setup & nice music. She has plenty of space for you to set down your things and get comfortable. She was so nice and easy to talk to which helped me feel less nervous and ready for this new change! I appreciated that she really walked me through every bit of the process as she was cutting my hair and made me feel involved in how much was being cut. Not only did she do an amazing job at this big chop, she also educated me on all things haircare, and she even showed me tips on how to style my new look at home. I feel so great with my new hair and I'm so ready to start my hair journey! Chantell's positive energy made me feel so appreciated - her passion for curly hair can really be felt in the way she makes you feel as a client. My hair feels like it was taken care of with so much love, and it feels so healthy. read more

I was probably one of Chantells most difficult assignments! I have naturally curly hair, but I have been somewhat lazy and stopped maintaining properly for about a year which allowed it to form free form dread loccs that were pretty long. I wanted to switch back from dread loccs to curls, without having to completely buzz cut my hair - meaning I would need someone to undo/cut each single dread (there were a lot). Chantell knew this would be hard task, but willingly accepted the challenge and after 2 visits, she was able to undo/cut my dreads and get my curls back! I was pretty impressed. It was overall a great experience and I am glad she did it, especially considering it's not something she normally does and since she has mostly female clients. read more

Chantell is a master of her craft. She has been cutting my curly hair for a decade and I've followed her from NY to LA and back! My hair is not easy to cut and I'm very particular about how I like it to look. My big "lion's mane" is my signature look and when my cut is off I don't feel like myself. While other stylists might be put off by this, Chantell has welcomed our collaboration and partnership over the years and she has become one of my most trusted and essential beauty and style experts. I'm based in NYC and when she moved to LA during covid I was unable to find someone new in NY that understood my hair like she does. Luckily for me she comes back to NY regularly to see her clients and I'm also occasionally in LA. She's worth the inconvenience! Beyond being a super talented stylist, she is an incredible, inspiring human and I feel lucky to count her as a friend. She is kind, intelligent, compassionate, egoless and has high integrity. I am thrilled to see her become so successful over the years and cannot recommend her highly enough. read more

Where to start? Chantell is a wonderful human and an amazing hairstylist! I've been natural for five years but recently moved to California where I noticed my hair started to look dull, dry, and brittle. Because of that I put my hair in braids most of the time and essentially put my natural hair journey on pause. When I decided it was finally time to get a cut and embrace my curls, I found Chantell on style seat and could not be more grateful. She is patient, kind, thoughtful, enthusiastic, intelligent, experienced, AND an artist. I have never walked out of a hair appointment feeling this confident and prepared for the future. Book with her and you won't regret it. read more
