It got a five footer and definitely go see her. You can give her dog belly rubs, and she is incredibly knowledgeable about the local plants etc and what grows well and what doesn't

Driving home from vacation, I spotted Farmer Creek's sign and pumpkin display from the road. I…read morenoticed it too late to turn in, and lamented missing such a darling roadside stand as I continued down the road. Realizing there was no real deadline to arrive home, a few minutes later I turned around, and am so glad I did! A visit in September means pumpkins, squash, mums, pansies, and other cold hardy plants will greet you at the entrance. Inside were charmingly packaged daffodil bulbs with corresponding photos. A cascading tangle of dried hops was gorgeously displayed. Prices (very reasonable) were written on a chalkboard, and there is a deposit box in which to place your funds. Alas! They only accept cash, of which I had none handy, so come prepared! It appears their offerings flow with the seasons, and while they are a little ways from my home, I never shy away from a drive along my favorite US highway, so I'll surely return before long. They would even be worth adventuring a bit out of your way. An absolutely charming little farm stand!

Nope Blake's Coastal Nursery does not carry carnivorous plants but it's still an amazing nursery. Obviously the chickens will always be my favorite! Only if baby goats and chickens were together would it be better. I digress. The grounds looked awesome. I liked the fountain BY the chickens. I took a picture of this really beautiful woman sitting by the fountain. She really made the picture better. If you live in the area, your blessed with a nursery that has a great selection of plants, shrubs and small trees. Don't forget to check out the chickens.

I live in Portland so I took a little drive there and what a beautiful selection of annuals and perrenials. The staff is super friendly and I've gone back a couple of times as they have a unique selection of plants.

They have no advertising or signage up, thus when I arrived I thought maybe they were wholesale only. But it's hard to deter me from plants so I marched on in, and the lovely woman who greeted me was friendly and helpful as could be, confirming they were open to the public and handing off a box to fill with treasures. They also have handy wagons available. The nursery is very large, and every time I thought I'd seen everything the next corner would reveal another greenhouse. I quickly filled a box with herbs of every sort, then another with healthy perennials, strawberries, and even a mix of daffodils and narcissus. Oh, and don't forget they have houseplants! I got so much good stuff, but a few favorite finds were peonies, bleeding hearts, astilbe, purple basil, salad burnet, Vietnamese coriander, lemon verbena, Labrador violets, eucalyptus, hardy ferns, and lantana. They are cash or check only, so come prepared. It's worth going a little (or a lot!) out of your way if you usually only utilize card payments. The prices are eminently reasonable, and they even offer discounts on flats. Oh, and they are well known for their fabulous hanging baskets!

This is such a great place. Huge selection of plants that are not overpriced. Pretty big selection…read moreof pots and other yard decor also. Lines are usually long but they have workers writing out what you have and give you a slip for the register so it usually doesn't take that long. Everyone we have talked to is very nice and knowledgeable. Biggest drawback is if they are busy there is not much parking.
