This shop has a great aesthetic, clearly relating to their coastal location, but also modern and clean enough to be right at home on any of the main shopping drags back in Portland. It has a varied inventory, and I found myself impressed with some of the art, a number of gorgeous reclaimed-wood serving platters, and great fragrances (both in candles and sprays). At Cap'n Gull's, there are so many gifts to choose from, ranging from magnets to shirts to snow globes. My goal is to bring back a snow globe from each city that I visit, and I ended up finding a cute one with a beach chair and umbrella inside. I also picked up a beach magnet, a Christmas ornament, and a street sign with my name on it. My boyfriend picked up several items as well. He got himself a shirt, a beer bottle opener, a basset hound magnet, and a beagle and a basset hound description photo frame. The total for all of these came out to about $100 or so. It's located on the 101 freeway right across the street from Kyllo's and the beach access parking lot, so you literally cannot miss it. You'll find almost everything from A to Z here.
