They shut the sauna off a little early yesterday and we had someone turn it back on but by the time it was up and running we had to go. They close at 6, it was 4. The pool area is still really in need of a deep clean. The baseboards are filled with dirt and possibly mold? Tons of dead bugs by the hot tub windows. For as pricey as this place is, it's really dirty when you look around. This wouldn't fly in a 5 star hotel anywhere else. I had an excellent 80 minute deep tissue massage and fun relaxing pedi with Patty! I left feeling relaxed but was still disappointed with the lack of cleanliness in some areas.

I figured for $70 for 1 hour, it's worth a try. It's a no-frills establishment, but very zen. Soft music, oil diffusers and quiet. I was put into a room and asked to undress. Lisa, an Asian woman, came in and proceeded to give me a "towel on" rub down to loosen up the tons of pent up lactic acid in my body. That lasted about 10 mins. For a tiny woman, she had amazingly strong hands! Then off came the towel and I was in massage oil heaven! She asked if she was being too hard on me (NO!!) and told me that I had "too much stress" in my shoulder area and hips. She focused on that pain I had, and proceeded to give me pretty much, the BEST full body massage I've ever had! She ended with hot stones and a wonderful head and facial massage. I could feel my blood flowing and all the bad energy leaving through my finger tips and toes. I rested for a bit, got dressed and she gave me water telling me to hydrate. No language barrier there. We also did the afternoon tea, which was absolutely lovely and a good value. Our hotel room was clean, comfy, modern, and spacious. The spa facilities were also extremely clean and well kept, with the ladies locker room stocked with everything you could ever need. Every staff person we dealt with from the hotel to the restaurants to the spa was friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the hot tub/sauna/steam room area.. yes, it was crowded a few times but I noticed that crowds in both the pool and hot tub areas tended to clear quickly and several times I had both to myself! I especially appreciated the thoughtful little touches everywhere, like cold washcloths available for post-sauna cooldowns and fresh flowers all over the place. The vibe was extremely relaxed and I appreciated that when staying in the hotel you get full use of the spa facilities even on check-out day. We had breakfast and lunch at Kensington's and also had the afternoon tea. Everything was delicious!! Good cocktails too. When walking in I found a cute shop a little expensive though but there were cute clothes and spa items for sale. To the left was the area for facials, hair, nails ect. If you keep going you get to the check in counter a lounge and a juice bar that also serves cocktails. You go through a door on the left that leads to a pool area, gym, outdoor lounge and quiet room. In here are also doors to the locker rooms bin the locker room there are vanity's, showers, changing rooms, a sauna, steam room and hot tub. I spent the majority of my time in the hot tub and sauna. The vanity area provides deodorant, lotion, hair gel, hair dryer, a comb, q tips, & mouthwash. If you go back out and go to the right of the Enterence & up stairs there is bar, and then a restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating as well. The food was good, the spa was relaxing. The reason it has 4 stars instead of 5 is that the check out was long lasting because they were in the process of updating their birthday reward program and it wasn't matching there flyer on the counter. They did end up matching the flyer in the end it just took a long while.
