So I suppose the jury is still technically out on whether or not the leak is completely fixed, but I will say that I enjoyed working with them, finding them responsive and consistent in their responses to questions & emails, and the cost of the work was not out of line. I have already asked them to do an additional small project and will have them quote me soon on a substantially larger project, which is a recommendation in itself.

They honored their estimate and did excellent work. The work was so good that I already had the company do a a second job. Be aware that this company really shines at tuck pointing old brick work (masonry). It is hard to find vendors that do this work. Finding one that is a pro is an awesome find. Highly recommend.

Jake, the owner of this business "forgot" about our first appointment meeting. I was willing to…read moreforgive that as we all have memory lapses from time to time. Turns out that should have been my first red flag. The second was when he gave me an estimate at our first meeting and then he called back and said he made a mistake and gave me another estimate almost $500 more than the first quote. The next time we talked it was another $200 more. But his estimate was middle of the road as I had gotten cheaper ones and more expensive ones so I went with them. It took Jake 3 days for what should have been a one day job. The first day, he just removed the wooden walkway to make way for the concrete to be poured. The second day, he ran out of concrete before he was a third of the way done and it was only an inch and a half to 2 inches deep. Standard is 3-4 inches deep as I understand it. It's also 2 different colors from the two different days' work and it's not level. He insists it is, but I'll need to wait for rain to see if the water pools in the middle of the walkway. He also dumped a pile of dirt onto the landscaping rocks and was just going to "rinse it down into the rocks". I put my foot down on that and insisted that he remove the dirt as it would be easy for weeds to take root in the dirt (there was fabric under the rocks to stop that.) He was also careless in removing the wooden walkway as he broke a panel off the door of my wooden fence. He said he would fix it but hasn't yet and won't return my texts or phone calls. While he was cheaper than many I got estimates from, I would have gladly paid more for a job done properly and did no damage to my property. I definitely would not recommend The Best Caulking and Restoration of Omaha for any kind of work. They are neither professional nor reliable.

Gary Southworth of Shurlawn came out on a Sunday and bid the four stumps as well as a few others that were hidden under bushes. His bid was $30 over the lowest, but I went with Shurlawn because it seemed the most professional. I did not want the 'handyman' using pawn shop or rental equipment. Gary came out the first dry day. He also found another small stump which he ground for free. He raked up the chips and left the yard looking better. Shurlawn is prompt, has good equipment, and great service. I will use this company in the future.
