This was a small place with Disney themed photos on the inside. The ordering was done at the outside window and then the pickup was inside. They had a number of Hershey's flavored ice creams, Italian and shaved ice along with a few sundaes. The staff was nice, and the ordering process went smoothly. I went with a regular cup of banana pudding and pistachio nut ice cream ($5?). Both were very good. The banana pudding had little pieces of cookies that were solid and provided a nice touch. The pistachio nut had plenty of nut pieces that were still crunchy. I also tried the banana peanut butter moose tracks. There was a lot going on here with the banana, peanut butter, and chocolate, but again, very tasty. Will I go back? Yes. read more

This is usually our go to spot every year for vacation. After last night, we will definitely not be returning. One of my children wanted a waffle cone only for the employee to tell us that he would not make one "because it's the off season and I've already thrown 10 away today". My son requested to go here because he saw it had great ratings. We can see why. It was a great little place. Very clean with inside seating. If you like Disney, you will like this. Disney pictures on the wall. Even a giant framed puzzle of many of the Disney characters. The service was great! The ice cream is outstanding. All hand dipped. So many flavors to choose from. The first time I got a scoop of key lime pie & a scoop of coconut. We had to go back a second time. I had to have that coconut. Best coconut ice cream that I have ever had. And with little pieces of coconut in it. If you are in the area of Avon in the Outer Banks, stop by and try this place. You won't be disappointed. read more

This is a fine place in Avon for ice cream. As others have noted the service is a little slow. This is an ice cream joint that offers Hershey ice cream. I would prefer if it was home made but it is not. The prices are reasonable though and it is the only real ice cream place in Avon. I do not consider Dairy Queen to be real ice cream. They do give you a lot of product per serving which is good. The bottom line is if you like ice real and are in the outer banks this place is quite serviceable. read more

My girls and I went to cups and cones and the employees there made us all extremely uncomfortable. We wore dresses and one of the employees stared straight down my one friends dress. We were going to try and sit and have some ice cream together but it got ruined by the workers who couldn't keep their eyes to themselves. read more

Hits the spot on a warm sunny afternoon. Family was interested in ice cream, found this spot on the way out from Cape Hatteras visit. I wasn't in the mood for ice cream but quickly learned they had Italian ice AND shaved ice once we arrived. Kids shared a 2 scoop regular cup with candy bar overload and strawberry - it was a very generous two scoops. Strawberry had real slices of strawberry. Both flavors were delicious. Husband opted for the salted caramel truffle - it was missing the salt and chocolate profiles - was gooey and really sweet. I went for the mango Italian ice - that was really refreshing - I do wish it had more natural flavor but it hit the spot and was refreshing to cool down from our adventure. Small space outdoors, very limited seating - only a small strip of benches under the house, picnic benches right off the ramp. There was no shade. Staff were wearing masks - did wish they had some sort of hand wash/sanitization location after paying. Ice cream melts quickly - thank goodness we had wipes otherwise we would have a been a huge mess, tiny thin cocktail napkins don't cut it. read more

So I'm giving this place 5 stars because they serve Hershey's ice cream. There is one person working this place and she is on it. Themed out inside with Disney which looks cool if you are a Disney fan and plenty of room. They have mixed drinks, shaved ice, and Italian flavors. I love Hershey's ice cream. I got Cappuccino Crunch and it's delicious. The waffle cones are made there and taste great. Wanted to stop here earlier in the week, looked super popular with a line into the parking lot. Thought we lucked out when we pulled up and the line was short. Wait time was ridiculous. Went on a Thursday evening and we were the third family in line. They had at least 5 people working. Took more than 30 minutes, after placing our order, for 3 cones and a shaved ice. We were crammed inside with 20+ other people waiting on our orders. The ice cream was melting and running down the cones as they were handed to us and the shaved ice tasted off; not sure if it was the syrup or the local water. Not worth the time or money.
