Nice courtyard, and can eat there too.

The Cupertino library is part of the Santa Clara County Library district and it's really big. It's a busy library, but it's also a very nicely maintained place. I was impressed that they could keep it in pretty good shape given its size and the number of patrons who go through on a daily basis. The lobby is wide and has a lot of resources provided at the information desk. Then you will see the big aquarium tank which leads to the children's section. There's a ton of books here and a good number of computers too. Towards the back of the first floor there's a story time room/meeting room. Upstairs, there's the teen section on one side and the rest of the floor is for adults. Tons of books all over and lots of reading desks and lounging chairs for hanging out with your new found books or old favorites too. We had a few questions for the librarian, and she was helpful and kind. We also checked out the court yard which is in the middle of the library with sun umbrellas and backyard type chairs. You can even eat there so if you had the munchies you don't have to leave the library to eat a snack. Overall, we had a good time visiting this library. Also, the hours are very generous, it's opened a lot of the time and even on a Friday evening it's opened till 9 pm! Till next time...

This library is very nice. Their books for sale section was a lot smaller than most other libraries I've been to (see: San Mateo, Redwood City) though which was kind of interesting. I was really impressed by their video game section. They had so many Xbox and PS4/5 games to borrow. If I lived a little closer I would definitely consider borrowing some games here. I was also super impressed with their very extensive manga collection in traditional Chinese. I have a few of these books in my personal collection and they're good for practicing your Chinese reading skills. I would have also borrowed more if I lived a bit closer to this library! The aquarium on the bottom floor is a nice bonus especially for kids.

Extensive collection of books for all ages, play area for kids, and activity rooms as well. Seating is available across the library, and multiple check in and check out stations.

""I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library"...could not agree more with the with outside. This is my happy place. The Cupertino library is large and was pretty busy, I had to wait to find parking. There were a lot of staff and very helpful too.

One of my favorite libraries of all time. This is a beautiful library with so many places to study. It does get pretty busy as everyone loves this place, but I've never had an issue getting a spot. There's plenty of parking outside and lots of greenery surrounding the area. I love that they have sunshades that you can switch down if it starts getting a little too bright. Also, very clean and well loved by everyone in the community!

Me and my beloved sat a one day silent meditation course walkable distance from the library. A unique feature of the library is that they close at 6:30pm on Saturday aka half past 6pm on Saturday which is eccentric or unusually instead of closing right at 6pm. I wish the philosophy and religion section along with the vegan cookbooks had a bigger selection yet the crest jewel of this library is they had several and various eclectic array of magazines available for browsing that go all the way back to the 1960s which was cool and an instant time warp. A unique contrast perhaps to Apple Computers being based in Cupertino and having analog magazines from decades prior available for browsing. Another highlight was they had many rare books under lock and key in a display case which as I understand these are available for browsing if you ask a librarian. Cupertino Library is quite alright in my book.

I decided to leave a review as a result of an incredible experience in September 2024. I had been having some issues with my account, so I called the library soon after they opened. The phone was answered by Lucy, who was patient, friendly, and took extra time to understand the issue. She make several different attempts to address my needs. I was impressed by her persistence and positivity while trying to solve the issues with my account, which she completed successfully. An excellent experience. Thank you! BTW. Be sure to check out the impressive seed library next to the front desk.

It's "OK" so far…read more.. I have been spending my own time at the library every day, because it is the closest library to commute to. I have plenty of work and I appreciate the quiet environment. Sometimes the librarians are perfectly polite and don't say anything weird, like attempt to spread false rumors about a civilian who has every right to be at the library-- or worse, attempt to ADvertise HeR to strangers (a very clear hello!). Sometimes they are a bit creepy, and it makes me wonder what they REALLY do for work. I am REALLY trying not to make assumptions... but a woman has to watch out for her own safety. There are a few staff who seem to be more mindful and considerate of such. A charger for my mobile phone that I ordered will arrive soon, so there will be no need to interact with them on a daily basis (to borrow the library's). I usually don't pay much attention to others at the library, but I notice that there are students and adults working from their laptops or completing class work. I just do my best to be aware of my surroundings, so that I don't end up sitting near creeps and stalkers. The traffic is quite questionable at times, although much of it has died down (thankfully). It seems that some people walk around the library looking for SOMETHING or SOMETHING TO STARE AT. Such traffic are very uncomfortable to be around-- I thought this was a library, not a zoo or a MARKETPLACE. So I just find a quiet desk to sit at, and concentrate on my work. I have borrowed and read a few books from the library, too. They have a fairly standard selection of a stereotypical American library in 2025 (the YA section is downstairs, whereas ADULT sections are UPSTAIRS). I appreciate the books they carry in the Computer Science section, as I am becoming more Computer Science literate these days (learning how to code, researching and using Artificial Intelligence, etc.).

No more mentally disturbed/homeless people on site. It's surprisingly busy on the weekends, especially back-to-school season. I love how they have a quiet area with a fireplace, cushy seats, and sunshine shining through the windows facing the park. No talking in this area. The children and teens' section is conveniently located downstairs, which is an ideal location since they tend to talk loudly. Study/meeting rooms are spacious upstairs, but must be reserved ahead of time. Also, the restrooms are clean on both floors. Love the sculpture near the entrance. I can't believe it took me ages to discover this library after walking around Downtown Mountain View for the past two years. There's a parking garage available on the side of the library including street parking. Nice to walk around after dining in nearby restaurants and worth coming back to chill and read.

Library is centrally located in the campus opposite to the food court, admin building and the sans-water-fountain. Initially I went in the learning centre believing it was the library ( I remembered reading in news that the library was recently renovated) and the learning centre is a newest prettiest building in the campus. Anyways it's not a huge campus so I easily found my way to the library with help the of a couple of Good Samaritans. Your typical library- automatic doors- no foods only lidded drinks- computers- reference desk- printing service- books and the book worms. And yes it's been renovated, every thing here except the building and books is brand new. There are group study tables, isolated study tables, group study rooms, couches, desktops and Macs for student use. No homeless people toting their bags unlike public libraries, only classless kids toting their backpacks. There are two floors and the upper floor is relatively quite (except when the groups in group study rooms leave the doors open or are too loud). Love the study lights (with sensors) on the tables, they do a good job of backlighting the laptop since there is not much natural light. Washrooms on both floors- clean. The food court is right across with both outdoor and indoor seating. It also has a microwave.. yay!! Was sick of eating my cold lunch at the public library. For the reasons mentioned above I award this place the title of my designated study spot!! :) P.S. This place opens at 8 unlike the public libraries that open at 10 or later, another yay for the morning people.
