I took my car to Cupelli's hoping for a fair and skilled diagnostic. Instead, I was quoted $250 just to scan the car for a "stage 1" diagnostic, with another $150 if it went to "stage 2." They also made it clear that this charge wouldn't be applied toward the repair, which already didn't sit right with me. They did a quick visual check for a leak and my misfire, then told me I'd have to pay for two hours of mechanic labor to diagnose further. This felt excessive and not in line with how most reputable shops operate. The very next day, I went to another high-end European/exotic car shop. They scanned my car for free, visually identified the leak immediately, diagnosed the engine issue, and fixed everything the next day. My car now runs like brand new -- all without the inflated "staged diagnostic" charges. Cupelli's might be fine if you want to overpay just to be told what's wrong, but in my experience, there are much better Euro shops in the area who are honest, transparent, and far more efficient. read more

Recently moved to the area from California and was looking for somewhere reputable to service my Audi. Initially spoke to Richie on the phone to set up the appointment and he could not have been nicer. It's easy to feel taken advantage of when it comes to auto maintenance and repair as most of us aren't experts. The guys at Cupelli are honest and trustworthy and won't upsell you on work that doesn't need to be done (unlike many dealerships). What really spoke to me though were customers coming in one after another, knowing the technicians by name and visa versa. That showed a long standing relationship built on trust and confidence. Richie and the team at Cupelli perform the highest quality work at very reasonable prices. The shop is busy, but worth the wait. Was looking for a good place to get my car fixed, and I found it. Was referred here by another mechanic who refused to work on my Audi and it did not disappoint. Both the owner Frank and Ritchie provided great service. The digital info they provided as the car was getting inspected with pictures included was something I've never seen before and really helped build that trust. Both them and my service tech John were very knowledgeable about what was going on and kept me informed during the repair. They ended up taking care of my oil change and finding the leaking in my water pump, after checking prices it seems to be a fair price for great quality work. Definitely plan on returning here. These guys are good and reasonable. I brought in a 2006 BMW 330iC that Braman had looked at and came back with a long list of expensive work to be done. Richie and the team found other issues and that Braman's list included many items the car did not need. They fixed the car quickly and reasonably. I was directed to Cupelli Auto by another auto repair shop that advised me to see Frank because he was a European Car Expert. I drove to the site and was immediately addressed even though I could see that they were busy. I was told that they would diagnose the problem and call me in the morning. I was shown to the air-conditioned waiting area where I had my choice of coffee, tea or bottled water. the next day I was advised of the problem, cost and time I could expect completion. They recently nursed her back to life after I drove thru a little deep water after one of our afternoon Thunderstorms that dumped 7 inches. I thought the engine would be totaled. Best experience in over 50 years of driving I showed up at Cupelli Automotive without an appointment for an issue I had following a minor accident in which I was rear-ended. Frank came out of his office within minutes and immediately made the correct diagnosis of the problem. Rather than asking me to make an appointment for a later date, he took the car into the garage and had the issue resolved right then and there. He then had the car inspected to make sure there weren't any other hidden problems. My total time there was just over one hour. What's more, the bill for his services was extremely fair and I am sure much less than had I taken the car to the dealer. I have two Mercedes and Frank has easily earned my business for both cars. friend of mine asked to go to this shop for checking the Gearbox of my care 750 Li before that i took the car where been fully maintains at BMW dealer when i sow the problem in the screen they did full scan to the car for one hour and was 100 percent free scan and diagnose the problem and the code was turbine speed sensor short circuit to ground or open circuit and asked to put new one with $ 7000 i took the car for another mechanic just do BMW transmutation he did full scan to the Car with $0 and say the same things cost you $3500 finely when my friend told me send it to Cupelli Automotive to have another opinion i went their give the car to Ritchie and i told him what was the problem see if you can fix it and i give him the Code that BMW diagnose it kept the car was running good and after second day he call and said it cost you $6500 and charge me for scan the car $382.76 witch when i took back to BMW dealer was not running good as it was and got surprise for the Scan amount tat he Charge Never recommend those people to any one read more

Took my Mini here w/o knowing anything about Cupelli other than 1 review I read somewhere. . Frank was amazingly responsive to my needs, was completely honest and transparent. I have no doubt if I had taken my car to the Mini dealership it would have cost me thousands in unnecessary expenses (total clutch replacement vs just a Master and Slave cylinders). Silly me to have spent almost 10k with frank... First debacle was when my transmission went out on my W220 S430. Frank sounded great over the phone. Towed the car to his shop, was told he would do his best to keep the bill reasonable. Fast forward one week the car is repaired but the bill is $7000! I say again silly me for thinking this man was earnest but the work was done right and the car felt good so I paid the bill. Within two days the serpentine belt snapped. We tow it to him again. Pay the $100 bill..... Thats life. Fast forward 1.5 years the steering rack goes out. This time frank has a top notch receptionist who has customer service as his first priority. Thanks to him we never walked out (we should have) Long story short, franks guys replace the rack, charge us $1500. When we went to pick up our car, it smelled like urine and when we started it up it sounded like it was misfiring on all 8 cyliners. Frank was gone for the day (4pm) but we were livid. We wanted to have our car scanned for codes (the check engine light was on) franks receptionist called him to get permission to put our car on the code scanner and clear whatever codes came up that werent there before we dropped it off. Frank refused. I knew frank was slow, and very uptight, but to refuse service after getting paid 1500 bucks was unacceptable. Eventually the car settled down and cleared itself (true German engineering). Never will we choose cupelli for a thing nor will we refer any of our friends to him. read more
