    Triple chocolate and red velvet
    Paige O.

Came here on a weekday evening for some cupcakes! Was in the mood for something sweet and was in the area. We came and were greeted right away and to let them know when we were ready to order. We decided to get a triple chocolate and a red velvet to go. The cupcakes here are a little pricey, around $3 to $4 for each, and they are normal sized. The cupcakes were okay. Not anything groundbreaking...I liked the chocolate one, but the red velvet seemed dry to me. Disappointed overall. They also have ice cream from Sebastian joes here and well as serve coffee drinks. I will defiantly come back and try these other parts of their shop. Maybe I will try some different cupcakes next time. Overall the place is nice. The entire place is combined with a restaurant so I can imagine it can get loud. You can sit just in the cupcake side though. I will come back to try this place again.

Salted caramel, strawberry and pink lemonade. These weren't dry and gross! Hooray!

Cupcake just lost another star. I walked in, and looked at everything. Decided what I wanted and waited for EVER for someone to even greet me. A man came to pick up an order, a person appeared helped him and then asked someone else what they wanted. I spoke up saying I'd actually been here before everyone else. She looked at me and then ignored me. Fuck that. Cupcake obviously doesn't want my money. PS. I'm not sure how this pic is attached to my review. I didn't get anything today.

    Macarons and cupcakes galore

I had long awaited the opening of the Eagan Cupcake. I'm a Minneapolitan through and through, but I work alllll the way out in this 'burb. I was so looking forward to a staple from my Prospect Park days to magically appear in Eagan. The entry is bright and welcoming, with colorful cupcakes and macarons lining the cases. The transition from Cupcake to The Mason Jar (the cafe) isn't as smooth as it could be, but we were seated right away and started perusing the menu. And then we kept perusing, waiting, looking around for someone to notice that we were there. After about 15 minutes of no water and no greeting, we finally stopped one of the servers who told us that we weren't in her section but she'd be happy to take care of us anyway. THANK YOU! Yes, this was a good start. For food, I opted for the cobb salad with spinach, and it was enormous and delicious. My coworker chose the soup and salad combo. Both of us really enjoyed the meals. The menu is pretty all-encompassing and ranges from breakfast all day to soups and salads to big sandwiches made on Cupcake's fresh bread. Admission: I've recently come to terms with a very serious macaron addition. Once I perfected my own recipe, I cannot pass up the opportunity to try actual pastry chefs' concoctions. The macarons at Cupcake were so pink + turquoise that there was no way I could walk out without some. My hubby is also a huge fan, so I figured I'd have a little after-work surprise for him. Womp womp. We got the lemon, elderberry, and raspberry cookies, and each of them was as dry as cardboard. Here's where I hate to say that I totally agree with the other reviewers. While I haven't had the cupcakes yet, I used to get them all the time back in the day when Cupcake meant the one adorable little nook on University. They were amazing: soft, fresh, unique, beautiful. They still LOOK like they would be that way, but one bite into the macarons and I can easily believe that the quality of the cupcakes has gone the way of the macarons: dry, bland, and not worth the price tag. I would love to give Cupcake/The Mason Jar another try. The cafe's food was good, but I just hope the brand isn't expanding so fast that it can no longer manage the quality of its bakery and service. People go to Cupcake for, above all, cupcakes! If the baked goods fall flat, you can't expect people to keep trying until it works. I'm rooting for you, Cupcake! Now, please go throw away all of your dried up treats, permanently take them off the shelves, and give your loyal customers the delectable creations they're used to. I'm sure the positive reviews will follow.

What would I want? Chocolate caramel of course. So she gets the best.

She even shared that we have the same birthday, hers is just one day later, April 30, which made it extra fun. She was incredibly kind and welcoming. Of course, I couldn't leave without treating my team, so we picked up lemon, Oreo, and chocolate chocolate chip. All were a hit. Nothing Bundt Cake has become such a favorite of mine. I love the boutique feel, and I almost always leave with something I didn't plan on buying. And the cake really is the best out there. Sandra was a sweet surprise and Nothing Bundt Cake is lucky to have her.

Oh how times change. Lol. First of all these cakes are still awesome!! Really moist, the frosting…read moreis great, I love them. What I don't love is that the franchise owner of this location (and the other one closest to me) chooses to not carry the Classic Vanilla flavor. I don't know if it's a new owner because I used to get that one every time we went, and it's still listed as available at other stores that aren't near me, the employee there just told me the owner chooses not to carry it. Sure, vanilla can be boring but it IS a flavor and theirs is very good. We'd usually buy half a dozen bundtlets each time we went. Their other flavors are fine, just not my favorite. And everyone who tried the vanilla when I'd grab a few extra all loved it too. Obviously the owner can do whatever she wants but not carrying classic vanilla is definitely... a choice. It's good enough that I'll drive out of the way to get one for a special occasion but disappointing I can no longer just stop by when I feel like having one. I could just get another flavor because as I said they're all good, but I won't, the vanilla is too good.
