Gene, the Owner, and Staff are friendly and very knowledgeable. In fact, I never felt pressured to sell or buy anything in the store. Now the store is unlike any pawn store I have ever seen - instead of seeing junk weed-eaters and old lawnmowers for sale, I saw absolutely beautiful jewelry, bone china, antique furniture, and everything you can imagine for Collectors to admire and purchase. Also, Gene and staff can assist you with layaway arrangements, which is much better than buying on credit. Free parking is on the side of the building. Please stop by Delta Pawn when you get a chance, because it's something to experience.

I'm not someone who enjoys going to jewelry stores (the people always seem shady and smell blood in the water when they see an inexperienced customer like myself). Here was different. I walked in and was greeted kindly, and asked for my brief patience because all associates were helping other customers. Then, when I was assisted, it took less than 5 minutes. The person helping me was personable, friendly, and enthusiastic to help. The customer service here was top-notch, the environment was clean, homey and inviting, and the displays were organized and visually appealing. Now, let's cut to the chase--I got to meet GUNNER. It always makes my day to meet well-behaved pets in unexpected places. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would because of him being the goodest boy.

No thank you, unfortunately have lost my business. I would avoid this shop.

I've been into this store several times now, and each and every time, the staff has been absolutely terrific! I had tried several pawn shops prior to going there for the first time....and every time I left the other stores, I left with a terrible feeling and honestly pissed by the rudeness and lack of emotion from these other guys. They could care less about...well...anything. Needless to say, the first time I walked into the Quik Pawn Shop in Hoover, it was truly a breath of fresh air. EVERY single member of this staff has been so friendly, courteous and HONEST! I strongly recommend anybody that needs to buy or sell items, to please go to this store. I work in customer service and take a lot of pride in that. These guys are by far the people to go to, they really seem to work hard and deserve our business. Please don't waste your time anywhere else, those other guys could care less what you do with the items that you've worked so hard for. I had to make sure I wrote this review... I just had to make sure others know about this place. I've lived less than 2-3 miles from here for about 5yrs and had no idea until recently, that the best pawn shop was sitting right in my neighborhood

In fact, I really like this pawn shop, because it isn't loaded down with lawnmowers and garden equipment. They even had a cute ukulele for sale that made me think of the song 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow.' The price I was offered for a few pieces of random, gold jewelry was very fair in value. I can see myself visiting the Gold & Silver pawn shop again one day, because it was such a nice experience.
