After dinner in Madison, we were craving something sweet and luckily Culver's in Verona was still open! The drive thru was pretty deep, so we popped inside where we were helped quickly by a very friendly Associate along with the fella he was training. We both ordered concretes. I ordered the currently flavor of the month, Oreo overload. I specified vanilla base, but it came out chocolate. Not big deal, was still tasty but just a bit more chocolate than I was after. We opted to enjoy our concretes outside in the small patio. The weather was perfect for a bit of outdoor ice cream enjoyment! Overall, standard Culver's location for the most part. On our way back to Chicago from our yearly trip to Mt. Horeb to visit my family for Christmas I learned that my Chicago born husband had never been to Culver's. Since we needed to eat lunch, preferably before our toddler fell asleep. The restaurant was clean and well lit and everything was well stocked. The staff were friendly and efficient and our order came out quickly and accurately and was fresh and hot. We both really enjoyed our burgers and I especially liked the crispy crinkle fries. TLDR: Friendly staff and good food I work nearby and average visiting this location 1-2x a month I'd say, and I definitely recommend it. The staff is always friendly and I have never had an issue with my food being cold or order messed up. Correct every time. Occasionally it does get busy, but there's always at least 10-15+ employees inside who are making an effort to keep things moving. Tonight I came in to try the cheese curd burger and happened to meet the owner who personally took my order. He was very personable and through our brief chat I could tell he was a pretty down to earth guy. I happened to mention I was on my lunch break and he made sure I wasn't kept waiting long. The reason why we come every week is because of the outstanding food and service. During hockey season we are here every weekend sometimes multiple times. I went to the drive-thru this weekend during the lunch rush. I joined the line of possibly 20 cars and thought "oh crap" when a car came behind me and I could not leave the line. However, Culver's did a fantastic job at moving the line quickly. The person who took my order was friendly and efficient. My food came out hot and delicious as always. Service is always amazing but it often seems extremely busy and the parking lot it crowded with drive thru, parking, and online pick up. Rude service. Never had a bad experience at a Culver's before visiting this location today. The employee taking my order made a mistake in placing my order, I noticed when I received my food and politely asked them to replace the fries with the side I had actually ordered. I was then blamed and up-charged (literally cents) to correct it. I visited the culvers in Verona tonight with my daughter and sat outside. I had inadvertently left my cell phone by the soda station and walked away. Time had passed and the manager came walking outside and asked if anyone left cell phone. I immediately realized I had left mine and identified it. He was so kind to seek me out and return it to me. The dough itself is fine (how can you fuck that up, really?), but the custard is kinda runny and watery and just rather blah. Maybe I'm an ice cream girl? For situations like these, I wish Yelp had an option to rate the food/product separately from the service. This location had excellent service, but the food was absolutely disgusting, however, that's because the food at every Culver's is disgusting, and not any fault of the employees. The burgers are drowning in grease, are super thin and flavorless, and make the buns soggy quickly. There's nothing I hate more than a soggy bun. Urgh. The pickles are also sweeter pickles, which I'm not a huge fan of. The fries were not at all crisp, which is another down side. That said, the service was excellent. We'd eaten at a Culver's once before and didn't like the food, but we thought we'd give a new location another try. Not being familiar with how the chain works, the counter lady was kind and explained things to us and was just very friendly. So was the gal who brought our food to us. So they were excellent! I just don't get the appeal of Culver's food and shan't be going back again. If I want flavorless fast food, I'll go somewhere cheaper and less greasy. read more

update: Culver's has improved in quality and also in service. This has brought me back. The fish and shrimp meals are pretty good now. but the shrimp dip and the tartar sauce is sub-par. They really need to change these sauces and they need more shrimp sauce for the 10 pc. One doesn't cut it. I tried the roast beef dinner the other day. The beef was good but the bread it was placed on was very tough and pretty basic. They need to improve the bread or add some carrots to it or something. I would suggest opting away from the beef roast. In Verona there is no dinner selection on the drive through board. I checked twice and could not find it. They had one dinner item listed in the picture board section. I find their boards somewhat difficult to navigate as opposed to other drive through restaurants. read more

Being from So. Cal, this was our first time experiencing a Culvers and wow, this place rocks! We came during covid and they were only open for call-in pickup and drive through. The drive thru was PACKED always, like a So. Cal In-N-Out but they moved the lines so fast it was unbelievable. Their burgers were very good, shakes AMAZING (waaaaaaaay better than an In-n-Out) onion rings super good, cheese curds (a Wisconsin staple) were good but a little overly breaded compared to others we had had while on our visit to WI. The past few months they can not get any order right. The drive threw people are too busy goofing off with each other and they dont listen to you. I had an order with the main food item missing but didnt realize it until I got home. They even have been getting ice cream orders wrong. Dont give any sauces when you ask for them. I'm done. Really done. This restaurant used to have great food and great service. Now it has neither. Highly unusual for a Culvers. Heck, my teen used to work at a Culvers. This Culvers started being problematic about six months ago. Time and time again the drive through orders have been wrong. A couple of weeks ago, my daughter and I stopped for a snack. We ordered a diet coke, cheese curds and a sundae. We received a regular coke (potentially problematic for a diabetic!) and the sundae was missing pecans. When my daughter brought it to the drive through person's attention, she acted bored. She grabbed the sundae and dumped some pecans on it. She told us she didn't hear us. Oh? Cuz the receipt says pecans AND a diet coke! Tonight I ordered a salad. This is about the third time it was assembled without dressing. The other time, no cutlery. Thanks Culvers! Dry salad eaten with my hands is JUST what I need at the end of a long day working in a hospital! So my advice is, maybe go to a different Culvers.
