The last 2 times I went to the Culvers on East Bay in Largo Fl the good was bad. First time my burger was raw in some spots and well done in others. 2nd time my burger was burned actually black when I opened up at home. I'm going to try the one on Gulf to Bay the next time. We pulled into the parking lot Monday 12/16 at 5 pm and found the door to the restaurant locked and no sign as to why. There were people inside but no one came to the door. We might have assumed they were closed by the board of health or there was some kind of emergency. We then decided to try the drivethru and sure enough there was a sign "closed at 4 pm Mon. For An Employee Christmas Party" Fine , that's great, but there should have been a sign at the main entrance. And I was so looking forward to my first butter burger. I went here for lunch. It took 20 min. To get my food which is too much for a drive thru. I tried the culvers deluxe with bacon and it tasted alright but was way too greasy! I also tried the chicken noodle soup which I did like very much. They don't have everything shown on the website. Might come back and try something different but not impressed at all. read more

We went to Culver's since it was National Cheeseburger Day, and the burgers definitely did not disappoint. Hubby had the single bacon cheeseburger and really liked that the burgers were "real" patties, flattened and crispy on the edges, and not perfectly formed blah burgers. The crinkle cut fries were cooked perfectly, very crispy and hot. I had the Reuben Melt and fried cheese curds as my side. The Reuben was a little smaller than usual, but is the perfect size if you plan to have one of their frozen custard treats afterwards..which we did. The Reuben was very tasty, and I the perfect degree of "greasy". I hate it when you order a Reuben and it comes on dry, toasted bread! They have quite a few other entree and side items we would like to try in the future. They all looked really good. Dessert was hard to choose as well, since they offer all kinds of treats that start with their frozen custard. This stuff is amazing! I has a thicker and creamier texture than ice cream or frozen yogurt. We both chose a "concrete mixer", which is like a Blizzard from Dairy Queen, except that you choose exactly which ingredients to put in. First 2 are included, and additional are a nominal fee. Hubby had vanilla custard with bananas and strawberries...excellent! I had one they called salted caramel pumpkin. It was extremely delicious, but I could only eat half of a "short" size because it was just so rich and sweet. They offer a mini size, which would have been perfect - I'll remember this for next time. The place was packed, and our friends who invited us to join them for dinner, said they're always this busy no matter when you go...so that right there tells you how good it is. Great prices, too! My only "creative criticism" would be that when the servers bring your tray of food (that you stand at the counter to place and pay for, just like fast food places), they should hand you your food like at a regular restaurant and then take the tray. They just handed us the whole tray, and then we were left sitting with the tray in hand. Fortunately there was one empty table next to us so we place it there, otherwise you have to get up and put it away yourself. Overall, very good and we will definitely return! read more

Well after finding out about our family and our gluten problems, fast food was practically off the menu for us and finding out that Culvers has gf buns was great. I've only gone through the driveway and gotten the burger meal with a gf bun but it was shocking how quickly they got the order out even with allergen specifications. They were altogether polite and I had a very tasty meal. Usually, you'll order at the window, pay and park off to the side to wait for your order, and it's well worth the wait of about 3 min to 8 min max in my experience because the food does seem like it was just prepared, it's fresh and tasty. The fries are pretty decent but not the best, but to be honest I'm a fry snob. Their soft drinks also are nice and carbonated with crunchy ice (and a good soda always adds a very nice touch to a fast food splurge) and I would very much recommend! read more

We stopped in to this Culver's because we weren't sure what they served and we're always willing to try something new. As it turns out, it's a quick serve that showcases a selection of burgers, sandwiches, soups, sides (definitely get some cheese curds!), and even a few dinner entrees. More important is the selection of frozen custard and all the toppings that are available. Everything we ordered was made fresh and the friendly service team brings the food to your table. Just placed an order, and I've only been here a few times, so I'm still figuring all the shakes, custards, and concrete mixers out. We came inside and Cody was EXTREMELY helpful! He gave suggestions, told us what he personally thought was better, and he even asked if we wanted to get our shakes during happy hour since it would be ending soon. Food delivery gets messed up quite often. I have eaten there 5 times and have tried different menue items each visit but all have been very salty and greasy. Once the new restraunt hype is over their business might not make it and I will certainly never eat there again. Mcdonalds is much cheaper and way better. read more

Absolutely love this place! Was so excited when I heard they were finally making their way down south from Wisconsin! The food was great but with that being said it is fat food. My first visit to Culvers was not worth another one. I was looking forward to trying their Ruben sandwich, being one of my favorite sandwiches. Will never return to Culvers again. The corned beef was tuff as jerky, and grease was dripping from the bread. Good place to come if you need to eat fast, and or just want to get home fast, burgers are all surprisingly good but the ice cream(can't remember what they call it there) is hard to not eat although it gives you a stomach ache. Wow I cannot say enough great things about this place. I was so excited to see they had gluten free options for those of us with Celiac disease. The restaurant was clean and everyone was friendly. I ordered the Pepper Grinder and it was hands down one of the best burgers I have had in my life. I could not believe how juicy and fresh everything tasted. I am giving them 4 stars based on the fact that they have the best malts anywhere. I love malts and have tried them in most places, and this Culver's has the best. I honestly don't care for the rest of their food that much, it just isn't that tasty, but the malts make it worth frequent visits. Order burger with well done fries. Food delivered white fries. I ask person to take back and make them crispy brown as I ordered. He grunted looked at them without a comment. I ate my burger still waiting on fries 15 MINUTES. I decided to leave stop by counter. person that took my order was standing there outside the counter. I told her the fries I ordered with her not prepared as I ordered and never got them as I sent them back. Oh you will have to speak with my manager. Manager turns around with fries.
