Dried up beef on a sandwich. Yuck.
Dianne P.

Horrible rundown appearance on the outside. Culver's should be ashamed of the appearance of a building with its name on it. Ordered the pot roast sandwich which was inedible. Dry, old meat. Disgusting. Will stick with Culver's in Huntley on 47. Great service. Clean. Fresh food.

HeLLo. Culver's can really turn around, but it's going to take some desire & commitment. We could NOT smell the food because the smeLL from the carpet was so pugnacious, musky, and over-powering that it smeLLed worse than an old, frying-oil soaked gym sock. WTF? Not to mention that the whole decor needs Brightening! The tile floors were so oil covered slippery, that I kept sliding backwards when I was urinating which caused quite a challenge. The place was filthy. However, in Culver's defense, every time we have been there over the past few years, it was filthy. The carpet sets the tone for the whole meal. Even the outside cement is filthy. How about power-washing a couple of times a year!? Cigarettes butt all over from EMPLOYEES! We were at Chick Fil-A and they were deep cleaning the restaurant, and it was already super clean. Even the outside was being power washed! On a positive note, they do have diet root beer, and that's why I return a couple of times a year. Nevertheless, the place is filthy! Is this place reaLLy family owned?

Yuck! burnt burger and cheese isn't even melted!! Waited over 10 minutes for this...... :(

Omg... just went through the drive through. Waited over 10 minutes for 3 cheeseburgers, chicken tenders and a concrete mixer. Only to get home to eat 3 BURNT burgers (but cheese wasn't even melted) and a melted concrete mixer. What the heck is going on? So disappointed that I waisted $43.20 ... for food that wasn't even edible...YUCK.. no bueno , Culver's never again!!!

Butterburger with cheese!

I like Culvers, been to a number of their locations. The food is prepared fresh when you order, and they seem to use fairly high quality ingredients. The burgers are thin and crispy and that's always my favorite, as are the crinkle fries! Want to amp up your side? Get an order of the official snack food of Wisconsin, fried cheese curds!

The cold joke of a cheese that I paid $1.29 each

Best burger in Carpentersville. Love the Custards and it's too. I like the new look in the dining room as well. Warm and comfortable.

I took my daughter here yesterday (Friday' 5/8) after using Yelp to find an ice cream spot to…read moresurprise my daughter after being in the Huntley area... I mean the name is super fun, almost surprising it isn't a big name already.... While there were only a few people ahead of us, I will say it took a pretty long time for us to be able to order ( we were the 7th and 8th person in line and I think we were there well over 20 maybe even 30 mins and we are in the road...) But the wait was worth it. The ice cream (my daughter got a cyclone, I got a shake. I kinda don't know the difference as my shake had candy in it (and maybe some milk and some soft serve--while I think my daughters was all ice cream--but I'm guessing because I would have thought the cyclone would have candy while the milkshake would be all ice cream and milk...but no bother while I'm guessing my daughters had only ice cream (I was chatting with another family we met while waiting in the long line so I didn't watch too closely) but boy when I got the ice cream it was totally worth it. I got the peanut butter cup (which had some amazing on chocolate ice cream) and my daughter got the snickers...those seem pretty standard, but they weren't standard at all...they put a very well packed small bit of ice cream on top of the shake/cyclone that really looks like raw cookie dough....i don't have a picture (there may be some in yelp) but this super packed, small ice cream was the piece that turned this up a notch....it just looked so darn appealing and it was great. The owner was super jive, saying they've been open about a year (and they had a big line after me too, so that was good to see) Overall while they had maybe a dozen different ice creams (they all seemed like high quality ice cream--and I think they have a few different flavored soft serves too which is intriguing for next time..... The positives- the ice cream was great and it LOOKED incredible...and that's more than half the battle. Everyone's items looked great too which really had me hungry when our ice cream was made -- and it was worth the wait. The negatives - the menu is a wee bit confusing...basically they need a menu as the light wall isn't very clear what things are....i know you can customize things but it's hard to tell what all the customizations were -- and they had several other menu items that I wasn't exactly sure what they might be. They also had a cool looking cotton candy maker right by the check out register but it wasn't marked as a cotton candy maker and I didn't notice any menu item that used cotton candy (and we were in line a long time). I wasmt alone in this confusion as the nice couple (who were ordering with their kids) ahead of me were also a bit confused....and obviously we had to wait a bit longer than expected (which while the store was full it wasn't exactly crazy crowded like I image it would be in the middle of summer). But trust me the good far outweighed the bad...it was worth the wait. My suggestions: 1. Have a handout/ paper menu that is much more descriptive (especially here where the ice cream is not facing the I Entrance so it's hard to know in advance what ice creams they have-- and also because they seem to have some more unique than standard ice cream shop items but I kinda didn't know what they were.::: They also could have a smaller option (the Medium milk shake is pretty large and the Small Cyclone is more like a Medium elsewhere. I know many would applaud this, but I kinda like less is more with ice cream (as after so much it doesn't have that same appeal even it it tastes good :) ) My suggestions -- beyond the above:..: Play into the Scooby Doo thing legally by having things like 'The Creeper' which would be maybe a mint chocolate chip (which they didn't have bet) and the Mystery Machine or Scoopy Snack etc. just play on the name without having Scooby Doo... We will be back before the summer 2026 wraps.

Short wait and amazing treats! It was nice and air conditioned perfect for summer and the ice was…read moreGREAT. They even serve pizzas and other food which I will be sure to get next time. Really recommend and for sure a go-to spot!

Another reason I love this…read moreplace is because it's not just some mediocre chain with locations everywhere; instead, it's a small local chain with only two locations, one in Barlett and one in Algonquin. Walking in, you see an ice cream counter with plenty of different ice cream flavors. They allow you to sample some of the flavors, and my friends did that, but once I saw the "S'more to Love" flavor of ice cream, I just had to order it. Like any other ice cream shoppe, this one offers different types of cones. They have waffle, sugar, and dipped cones, as well as bowls and waffle bowls. There are plenty of toppings you can choose from, too! For those who are not fans of traditional ice cream, the shoppe has plenty of other menu options: shakes, malts, coffee, popcorn, sundaes, chillers, cotton candy, cannolis, tiramisu, edible cookie dough, and rootbeer floats. Only some ice cream places offer those things, so I like that this place has unique options. When we arrived, they were closing in about 30 minutes; however, the two teenage workers didn't seem to mind and allowed us to take our time with choosing our flavors. They also didn't kick us out as the time got closer to closing time, but we felt bad and left before that anyway. Price-wise, it's comparable to other places: $3.99 for a kids' scoop, $4.99 for one scoop, $6.49 for two scoops, and $7.99 for three scoops. A plain waffle bowl or cone is $1 extra, specialty waffle cones that are dipped and have peanuts are $1.75 extra, and chocolate-dipped waffle cones are $1.50 extra. Cake cones are not extra. Overall, I would definitely come back here, and my friends agreed that they would, too. The ice cream is fresh and delicious, they have many unique options, the service is friendly and quick, and they have a cute seating area.

Would not reccomned here is why: Customer service: One specific employee was rude to my older parents and I. My parents andI went in and an employee, and older ladyolder lady asked me what I wanted. I said I was still deciding. My parents were standing next to me and instead of asking them for their order she just walked away. Another employee told her we were trying to order. She waved her arms in the air to that employee and said "they don't want anything." Right in front of us and loud enough that we heard her. She looked annoyed and walked away. We then had to wait a few minutes while the other employees helped other costumer. Then when the lady saw another customer come in, she came out, ignored us and went to help them. I told her, "but we were here first (still need help with order)," and she said "somebody else will take your order." That's just disrespectful, unprofessional. The paletas are very good! However, it's a shame that the customer service, from this one employee, was so bad. A product being good is not enough to keep people coming back. Customer service is the greatest factor in the success of a business. I know La Michoacana is a big chain and it will not fail as a company from one bad review, but good reputation needs to be sustained.
