Out of most fast food places I find Culver's as my favorite. The service is pleasant and very fast. Most stores are alike and it's a typical fast food ambiance. They're basically all the same, just set up a little different, I had the chicken cashew salad, it's pretty good, not the greatest but didn't want a burger & everything else is sandwiches on bread. After a late day flight Culver's was the only restaurant open for a very late dinner. The staff at the restaurant were SUPER HELPFUL, FRIENDLY AND ATTENTIVE. We ordered grilled chicken sandwich combos. Unfortunately, the food was very basic and definitely not the best but was served hot and quickly. We did not know the chain was a fast food restaurant. I thought it was going to be similar to a Pub 99 or Chili's. We stayed and ordered because it was open at 10:30 PM and suitable. The chicken did have a strange consistency and you could definitely tell it was not great quality. The bun was soggy but edible. The best part of the meal was the fries. Those were very good. The restaurant was very clean but basic similar to a Burger King or McDonalds. I don't normally eat fast food so my review could be skewed based on that fact but I will most likely never go to a Culver's again. read more

Went to Culver's on SW Pine Island Rd, Cape Coral, Fl on Sunday August 17th. The person on Register 2 could not speak English clearly, so after 5 tries I finally got my order. The Battered Cod was tasteless , and broke apart into little pieces when trying to eat. Tartar sauce had a bad taste, and fries were not up to par. Geez! This place was FANTASTIC! Mmm, mmm, and mmm! Got a deluxe bacon double butter burger for the first time and it was fantastic. I also ordered some cheese curds and ate some of my other family members' chicken tendies. Now I know what you might be thinking, what about ambiance? Well, we grabbed all of our food and took it to the Cape Coral public beach and watched the sunset, very picturesque! Also the person giving us our food was very nice and PROMPT. My goodness why does this Culver's restaurant drench their food is so much salt? The burgers, onion rings, chicken, fries all had copious amounts of salt added. Here's the problem IMO. The food is prepared by teenagers supervised by someone just a couple years older. Young people were raised on salty fast food and are impervious to its excess. They dump salt on everything and just keep doing it every time they add anything to the bin. The onion rings were inedible. The burgers were tossed in the trash. How they get a hamburger so salty is puzzling. We won't be returning. read more

Culver's began as a single operation by the family in 1984 in Wisconsin. It grew to at one point over 200 franchise stores. There used to be one near us in south Florida but they closed. Somewhere in my husband's business travels he tried Culver's custard ice cream and fell in love with it. It became his favorite and whenever he was near a store, he'd have to stop in. He even used to eat their burgers with an ice cream for dessert. I prefer Dairy Queen or Carvel or similar as the extra eggs in the custard mix doesn't stay with me very long. However, if I'm with my husband and we see a Culver's I'm happy to oblige and indulge with him. Tonight, we were coming back to our hotel and craving something sweet for dessert. I saw that they were nearby and open until midnight. When we pulled into the parking lot, it looked very dark and we weren't sure if they were open. In fact, I'm not sure if they were open inside at all. But we went through the drive through and yes! We were able to order. I tried their small hot caramel sundae. Even though I only got their small size (one scoop), it was a lot of ice cream covered in a healthy amount of hot caramel sauce. You could feel the warmth through the sides of the cup. I went here cuz I had a coupon and it's near my house. Boy, was I disappointed! The employees were friendly, but they got my order wrong. I ordered a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomatoes and onions. I got very little lettuce, 1 onion string and no tomato. Plus they took my coupon, but I didn't get the $1 off! I decided to order a cone after my meal (before I realized I was scammed) and I ordered a cake cone with two scoops. We ordered two separate kids meal cheese burgers and a substitution on the fries for cheese curds. We waited for a solid 7-10 minutes for our food in the drive thru. We were surprised both kids meals costed a straight $20, not expecting to pay 3.50 each for the curds, nobody said anything about an up charge and they got our drinks wrong, I mean how competent do you need to be to read someone's order and get it correct. My little sisters also got concrete mixers and when we got our order i picked up the one with the hot fudge and i took a bite and immediately realized that it had peanuts in it. I love this place! The burgers are extremely good quality for fast food.. and it's why they take awhile to make your order but it worth the wait. This staff is in serious need of training. It's almost become a joke how often the orders are wrong or things are left out. If you get home and notice it is wrong, they will only mail coupons instead of making it right. Then when you try and redeem the coupons, a young manager named Claire will argue with you instead of trying to make it right. I drive 880 miles & I'm eating at Culvers?! I know. We tried to eat at the Aji Limon but it was 7:30pm & they close at 8pm on Sunday. Also, the Boat House was PACKED. And Thirsty's was closed. We ended up at Culvers. It was also packed. The weather was nice and everyone was eating on the patio. We waited in line to order inside. The cashier was friendly. My dad ordered the chicken & she asked if he wanted the white meat or dark meat. He said dark & she proceeded to tell the cook & he seemed annoyed & asked her to ask him if it was okay just white meat. My dad said that was okay. It took about 20 minutes for the 4 of us to get our food, 1 burger, 2 chicken sandwiches & an order of fried chicken. That seems a little long to me, even if they were a little busy. The mushroom & Swiss was good as it usually is at Culvers, although there were some diced onions on my burger which aren't supposed to be on there. I have heard great things about this place since moving to the area! Everyone has told me they have great food, I've never heard anyone talk bad on them. So, I decided to try them myself and man I totally understand the hype! They are beyond amazing, I ordered shrimp and fries and a milk shake. The fries alone were amazing and anyone that knows me know that I love fries! When I finally got to the shrimp OMG!!! I can't explain in words how good they are and good isn't a good enough word. So, I don't eat meat so I had to look up the menu before going and there were so many options which I love. It was almost hard for me to choose but I know that I'll always be safe with shrimp!
