The food is always good. Service is excellent. One of the best Culver's locations I've been too.

Whomever is running your drive thru was the most unkind character we've have an interaction with in a moment. My husband ran to grab me a birthday dinner (we came for the ice cream!) after a long day of fighting a toddler..in the drive thru not only was she short, she started with "what do you want" he's a veteran & hearing impaired and trying his best to read my commentary on what ice cream I want & she was just abrasive and rude in every way. Speaking over him when he stated he wanted ranch & then later asking him if he wanted sauces? We've worked in the food industry and understand people have their off days but this was just an awful encounter. My husbands ranch was not provided. We were not impressed with today, a thank you to the woman in the window as she saved this entire interaction by simply smiling at him. The woman with a head piece behind the woman at the drive thru window (also wearing a head piece) was assumed to be the one with taking orders, as she's the one who glared when my husband said she was nice in comparison to whomever took his order. read more

the ketchup ran out. i am extremely displeased and i am not happy. the service here was terrible because when i told them the ketchup ran out they said they would refill it and 10 minutes later it was still not refilled. i hate this place and i love my ketchup. also a icecream spill was on the floor and i told them kindly to clean it. they proceeded to not only tell me they would clean it, but then they never cleaned it! read more

We were passing through when we found Culver's. Their access to condiments is not as good as other Culver's where they have hot sauce, tartar sauce and malt vinegar available with the.ketchup and mustard. I orders a double cheese and fries basket. Overall the food was what I expect from a Culver's. Overall an ok stop. read more

This Culver's is a few minutes off I-80 and has an enormous parking lot. I remembered them having the ability to make a celiac safe salad, so we stopped in for lunch. The counter staff was patient with my virtual (on the phone) presence and I chose the Strawberry Fields salad. Update: I just ate a big ol' salad and I'm happy! read more

I love Culver's, but they're drive-through service is very lacking... I placed an order for a butter burger combo with cheese and also ordered a party pack of frozen yogurt to take home. The ice cream was fine, but they did not give me my combo only my sandwich. I went back through the drive-through and told him that they didn't give me my sandwich and she said that they didn't ring it up correctly to be a combo. So I ended up not having a drink to go with my dinner. My only problem was when I complained about it. No one really seemed to takeownership of the problem and handle it even if it wasn't their fault. The food and the service inside is really good and it's a nice place to go inside to eat. But the drive-through it seems only has the newest employees working it and they really need someone to supervise the new people to make sure they get the orders right. read more

Service today was amazing. The elderly lady in the drive thru helping us was very friendly, helpful and patient as we decided what we wanted. The person who delivered the food was also friendly. The cheese curds are not what I remember... not as flavorful, they were out of banana for my concrete, and my sandwich seemed a little dry... but I find it hard to drop the restaurant a whole star just for those things (which may be the fault of the food supplier). read more

I went to Culver's thinking O would try one of their butter burgers. I also ordered some onion rings. While the onion rings were delicious the burger was horrible..it was cold and the slice of cheese on it was cold as well. I took it back to the counter and asked for another and to no surprise it was stone cold as well along with tasteless and bland. It's okay. The menu is a bit confusing. Burgers are bland. Not too much worse than a bland burgers. Maybe cancer. I take my burgers seriously. Everything here is cooked to order, so don't think too fast food here. They will likely give you a number, you'll look at it all confused like, the roll it up in your window. Yeah, your window. I do. A week ago Tuesday, friend and I ate at Culvers in Altoona. After a couple bites I threw my mushroom swiss burger away. Dry and didn't taste right....my friend said hers tasted funny. Either one of us got out of the restaurant before we were sick. I called the manager and he said he would call the health department as they are very safety conscious It is 10 days later and he still has not gotten back to me as to the results. Probably never called health dept. No more Culvers for us! read more

We've stopped at this Culvers several times with our small children as we pass through Iowa on I-80, and have found the staff to be exceedingly courteous, the food to be fresh and quick, and the bathrooms to be clean. You certainly can't say that about every restaurant on the interstate! read more

Very disappointed in their customer service. I understand they don't want to give out excess sauces if someone orders 4pc chicken and asked for a bunch of sauce. My order was over $55.00 and when they brought the food with NO sauce and I asked for one of each for the family to share, the manager asked for proof of what I paid for in order to give me any sauces at all. We'd never heard of Culver's, but apparently this is an Iowa chain. Or it's a chain in Iowa. One of those two. It's a fast food joint, but it definitely has more options for food. You can mix-and-match food items, build your own meals and there are a variety of selections. A fast food restaurant that appears, from the outside, to be a sit down restaurant. WHAT A CONCEPT! I ordered six piece fried shrimp. You get a choice of fries or mashed potatoes. I ordered mashed potatoes. The person behind the counter had the forethought to ask if I wanted gravy. NO I DIDN'T, thank you for asking. This place appears to make burgers and other fast food items, to include chicken and salads. They also have ice cream treats similar to a fast food chain with the initials DQ. The shrimp that I had was pretty good, better than a fast food joint, but not as good as an expensive restaurant. Let's just say, food was better than I anticipated! There are "Tribute to Farmers" signs all over the place. I'm wondering if they use "local" food. They put a receipt with "limited" information on your tray when food is delivered. If you want a complete ITEMIZED receipt (which I do, I'm picky....) you have to ask for it at the time you pay, they will cheerfully get you one. I had a coupon discount, I wanted the coupon discount to be shown on the receipt. The limited receipt just shows "bottom line." There is ONE TV which was on a sports channel (Yawn.....). No good place to park the RV. This restaurant sits "back" from the highway behind another restaurant (interesting that they do that in Iowa....). Turning an RV in to get to the restaurant would be dicey. I walked here from a nearby campground. Oh yeah. I have one question that I hope someone answers in a subsequent review. Are you required to "tip" here? I normally don't in fast food restaurants, but here is the process: 1. You order at the counter 2. They give you a number 3. They bring your food to you (but I still said "no" to waiter service) 4. You bus your own table. Ok, you order your own food, you bus your own table, all they do is bring it to you. The way I see it, we do 2/3 of the work, they only do 1/3 of the work. So, instead of 15%, would you only tip 5%? (1/3 of 15%....) I didn't tip anything. Would someone please advise? read more

I love Culver's, but I will not be coming back to this one. I've had positive previous experiences at this one, but I sat and waited over thirty minutes in the drive thru for a small cheese curd. For those who do not know what Culvers is; this is basically a fast food burger joint that is a bit more premium than places such as Mcdonalds, BK, or Wendy's. It is more on par with Bbops. Their food is always amazing, burgers and fries will not disappoint. Their ice cream is very good also, must try. I've been to other Culvers in the area and this one is no different. Friendly staff, no problems. I have never had Culvers until I can to Iowa, glad I discovered it. read more

Visit this location while staying here for the week . I give it two stars because this location is very convenient as far as location to my hotel. The service was not ideal . I asked for a printed receipt and received a blank sheet of paper " our printer is out of ink " . My milk shake is a thick as oatmeal . French fries where cold and burger came dry . For fast food joints, you can't beat Culver's. The food is excellent and they have a huge selection of menu items instead of the standard burgers, strips and fries. It's great for kids since you can usually bribe your children with the free ice cream cone after dinner that comes with the kids meal. read more

Legit the most frustrating experience ever. First red flag was not getting a receipt nor an order number. When everyone that was behind me got their food and I had not, nobody had the common sense to see me standing forever. I eventually grabbed one of the food runners and asked where my meal was. They brought back my food by with out the 13 dollar cheese curds I had ordered, to which I then reminded him that I needed. Took way to long for a simple order. 1 Star. read more
