We were told by an office personal that they could not reach the service tech and had no idea where he was or what he was doing--he would not answer phone. Obviously, they have personnel problems and have know become unreliable. We phoned several times trying to find out status and no one was able to give us any information. Told us to call back if tech didn't show up by 12:30. No one bothered to call or check back with us. When we called back again we were told that it would need to be rescheduled. No consideration for the waste of our time waiting on someone to show up.

Their website says free quote(will post screenshot if possible). I called to discuss the fee and the owner Melissa sounded out of breath, angry, and upset with just me saying hello. When I told her about the fee and it not being stated when making an appointment. She became VERY defensive. She stated, "In my x number of years, I have NEVER told my customers their was a fee!" Then she tries to put the blame on me and asks me if I asked if there was a fee. I told her I honestly dont remember, but I usually do. I have had over 20 people doing different work on a home I recently purchased.During this conversation, I said three times. I am going to pay the fee; even though I dont agree with it. She continued to be upset. I will chalk it up to maybe she was just having a not so good day. The technician who came out was great! Very nice and professional! In summary, Let your customers know it's a fee associated with your service and let them decide if they want to proceed or not.

Everyone who answered the phone or returned calls was courteous and helpful. We needed a new toilet with bidet seat for a disabled son. Is tomorrow ok for the tech to come out for a quote? Wow! Next day, Cabe arrives, no spiel but an honest assessment, good information, no BS. He was knowledgeable, friendly, had an easy humor. And he listened to us! Next week he installs the toilet and bidet, and on his way out I ask him to look at the faucets in the laundry area. They were pretty bad, and as I had already thought, should probably be replaced. Give me a quote, I say, and when he does I ask when he can do the work. Right now, he replies, pending clearance from the office. Clearance granted, he replaces the faucets with new quarter turn ones. Yes, he had to cut into the wall, and while he wasn't obliged to patch it up, he put it back together fairly well. Not long after that we called about a leaking shower. Again Cabe shows up. Replaces the cartridge, but while the leaking stops, the shower handle spins 360 and doesn't check the water from reaching scalding temperatures. But he doesn't support that brand of faucet. Nevertheless, he needs only a few parts - he actually hunts them down at the local big box store! When he leaves, we have a working shower that won't burn our son. He didn't have to do go to all this effort. But he demonstrated a concern for our son's needs. We were the focus of his attention. Excellent service and a real nice guy. Cabe was outstanding, a real gem. Trustworthy. He's like a good friend. I can't recommend Smith's highly enough.
