The cool thing about the fillmore is that it's general admission, so the tickets won't cost you an arm... and they have amazing, wheelchair accessible balcony seats upstairs. The staff is super friendly and accomodating. And there are tons of places to eat, before the show, in the neighborhood. The fillmore is definitely one of my favorite concert venues.

There was plenty of outdoor seating and spaces to reflect and contemplate and just take it all in. I can't wait to go back with my friends and family. This museum is absolutely worth a visit with both friends and family…read more I booked a 1:30 p.m. Sunday entry and arrived about 20 minutes late without any issues. Crowd levels were manageable when I arrived, with only a brief wait to check in, but it was noticeably busier when I left around 3:00 p.m., with about 10 people waiting in line. The experience includes both indoor and outdoor art, so be prepared for a fair amount of walking, including some uphill sections. Plan on spending 2-3 hours if you want to see everything. I also recommend booking tickets at least a couple of weeks in advance. When I visited, all remaining time slots for the day were sold out. Because of the extreme heat, part of the grounds was closed during my visit. The museum provided white umbrellas for sun protection, which I highly recommend, even if you have a hat and sunglasses and the stamina of a horse. Just note that umbrellas are not permitted inside the pavilions or gallery buildings. One thing that could be improved: I found only one water station, and it dispensed warm water. There are benches throughout the property, but much of the outdoor area is unshaded so on hot days you're unlikely to sit for long. The map provided at check-in was very helpful for navigating the grounds. AC is ample in all the buildings including the food venues. My favorite installations were Alex De Corte's exploration of humor, satire, violence, and tenderness through neon installations in The Pavilions and Faith Ringgold's "Who's Afraid of Aunt Jemima?" You'll have to check them out for yourself to see why!

It's also a nice open space in which to walk around, to wander and browse, see cute kids and dogs, and sit at a blue tablecloth-covered table and eat while gazing at the fresh yellow flowers in the centre .... If you happen to attend wearing the yellow and blue of the Ukrainian flag, you will be in great company! Looking for some vyshyvanka? There are shirts for women, men, and children plus dresses and vests .... Plush of Mriya, ducks with little vests, keychains, bracelets, and so much more is available! So many of the arts and crafts were made by people who are at the festival themselves so you can meet the artists, and sometimes the wares are being sold by the crafter's family members. It's a real family event! Hairbands with flowers (vinok), hand-painted wooden hair clips, dolls, socks, tie-on pockets -- so many things it's a stretch to remember, let alone list them all! One might say this is a festival filled with much 'eye candy!' A feast for the eyes! A feast, in fact, for ALL of the senses! Many of the vendors are raising money for non-profits, too -- and the festival itself is a fundraiser, an awareness-raiser, and I'd say it's an aesthetic sense-raiser, too!

Beautiful old historic building in Rockville. We also tried a meal from the satay truck and was also impressed. I would come back if I were in the area. It's a nice way to sample diff grub if you're with a group of people. I recently heard that they had to scale it down due to re-development in the area, but goodness, it was just way too congested and not enjoyable for me. A group of us came from Jazz in the gardens and we didn't get there until about 8:00. I'm not sure of the process of selecting which food trucks get to be at Truckeroo, but I wasn't personally impressed by any of the ones there. The lines for these trucks were super long! My friend was starving so we tried to look for a short line and decided to try capital chicken and waffle since their line didn't seem as long as some of the others. I've seen this truck around and figured I might as well give them a try. So after waiting almost 25 minutes (yes I was counting), we were able to place our orders. We both ordered the chicken and fries. My friend got a side of mac n cheese. Then began another lengthy waiting period! Sigh...finally we got our meal. Looked like regular ole chicken fingers and they pretty much were actually. Not impressed at all - was very bland and dry. Good thing I wasn't starving. OMG, the mac n cheese was disgusting - probably the worst I've ever tasted (not exaggerating). Forget trying to find a place to sit at this point. Nothing in sight!! We caught up with the others in our group and walked around. Some ventured off to get drinks. I ran into some folks I hadn't seen in awhile so that was good. Unless they find a different venue and a larger selection of food trucks, I'm in no hurry to go back to Truckeroo!

There was a huge train setup with several battery operated trains and villages. My kind was quiet and interested for about two hours! Who doesn't love a mommy break? Ha! Also, they had other activities for the kids, like coloring and blocks. During a normal visit, there are flight simulators, planes and helicopters that the kids can "fly." There are wonderful exhibits, and the staff were so amazing. This was an awesome day. If the kid is into trains again next year, I will be back!

We stood in a quick line to scan our tickets & check ID and we were in the chaos that is expected of a sold out event in DC. Staff at each vendor's booth were friendly and pleasant- amidst the chaotic queue lines (i.e. it was hard to figure out where each line started/ended). But everyone was patient and got served. Some vendors (White Claw & Mike's Hard Lemonade) had large displays while some of the smaller vendors had a simple table. I definitely had favorites and it was great way to sample and learn of new companies and seltzers on a Saturday afternoon. I think this would have been nice to also host it partially outside, under shade. I believe the outside area was for VIP, but we didn't get to go out there. It was a fun event with friends - even if today was hotter than Hades!
