We bought a new home that we thought was immaculate...until we moved in and noticed multiple issues of poor workmanship. We fought in order for them to honor their product and warranty. They came out 4x across 2 weeks while we continued to live out of boxes with most furniture and goods in our garage. They repaired most issues that they could without complete replacement. We have see more issues since then, like puddling of water outside front door. Here are 3 main areas that remain: Small painting errors across house like paint on outlets and carpet around trim; 2 appliances which were not properly installed (this was in our original claim) (I fixed one myself and the other through our manufacture warranty); finally, our carpet which was de-laminated upon entry of new home. Re. carpet, here is what happened from our perspective.... They had carpet 'repaired' after first work repair day. We told them originally based off of expert opinion from other veteran flooring personnel that it was bad carpet and needed warranty replaced. Before there next repair visit I cleaned our carpet and vacuumed, when i vacuumed over the fixed area it all came up and fell apart worse than before. Pictured attached. Upon final out, re. carpet they gave us their contracted flooring store, for me to call and get fixed. We have spoke to that owner/lead and they are helping us. We had to negotiate hard IOT get a credit toward more expensive flooring for 2 of the the rooms. Its a good price at the end. And they will replace the other rooms under warranty, which will fix the paint issues too. However, the sales rep my wife has worked with struggles with timeliness and following up. She is a nice lady tho. This whole thing is very tiring, for purchasing a new home. I feel and believe most of these issues could have been prevented if Cullers had better quality checks, over sight, and sub contractors. This has been very stressful and taxing for us. Unfortunately, we cannot fully move until the floors are finished in all 4 bedrooms. That may be 2 more weeks. We moved in 5/31, its 7/12 today. I digress, at one point I just wanted them to fix the main stuff and not see them again and have to deal with it anymore. Again stressful and disheartening. I've been around painting and construction since college...never seen such poor attention to detail and short cuts. We are in military and couldn't do an in person walk thru prior to contract. We relied on the Realtor, their inspector, and the official paid inspector all of which they control...well we trusted them and got completely burned. 375,000 home with many cosmetic issues. In the future, I would love for them to truly care and take responsibility so that this doesn't happen ever again. Attached are some photos of the issues we had from begining. Here is what we encountered over all: paint on carpet all around trim, wavy caulking in all bathrooms, paint spots on porcelain tile throughout house, 4 tiles that needed replaced, delaminated carpet upon entry, concrete finishing errors. As an alibi, their warranty lead and inspector did quality repair work. My issue is the time it took to get all of the work done, a lack of honesty and candor, and not a single apology throughout the process. They inferred that the repair work was above and beyond their duty, a favor to us so to speak. That's not how I read the 2-10 warranty nor is it in good spirit of the law. My opinion. If you ever purchase from Cullers do multiple on site visits before buying, choose your paid inspector, and take your time. read more

CHECK YOUR HVAC SYSTEM BEFORE SIGNING! Beautiful home BUT...be VERY careful when you buy that you have a professional look at your home HVAC system. Just like others have already posted, my HVAC system apparently was installed by inexperienced amateurs who could care less about doing a good job. Unfortunately, we were just outside the warranty period and had to eat the cost of fixing the shoddy work ourselves. Other than that, we have had a good experience...PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND CHECK OUT HVAC before moving into a Cullers home! Thank me later. read more

Cullers Homes a so called Custom Home Builder who has no business selling homes. When asked to make some reasonable changes to a home that was not finished, for example add tile to the bedrooms instead of carpet the response was "NO". Who in the right mind of the customer would want to loose a sale based on something so trivial, especially when the rooms were not laid with carpet?? Bought a new hone 2 1/2 years ago. Both us and our neighbors with first 2 1/2years had our AC stop working. Cullers would not cover for subcontractor to cover repair. I've bought 4 new homes in my life never had this problem anywhere. The use poor subcontractors who may or may not return calls and they do not care once the home has closed. Kind of a joke. I feel in love with a home they had. Got a contact from Jake for financing I wanted someone in TX I knew taxes were different. Got the pre approval was advised what taxes would be. Nope got the docs from title they were more. So I called the LO Gracie she told me no titles documents were not right. I'm in the business title is not wrong MOST of the time. So I called title got the correct tax amount my payment would be another $300 just for taxes. That's some bullshit that, that information was not disclosed to me from the start. I guess this is why Gracie never sent me even the application beside it would had to be listed correctly on that. They don't care they will keep your earnest money even tough they are they ones that didn't disclose. These people are super shady!!! read more

Just purchased a Cullers Home. We were allowed to come and check the progress for the whole build process. When we sat down to ask if the home could be modified to our needs as to what we were looking for, and to my surprise was told it's not a big deal that can be done. Our realtor showed us a couple of inframe houses around the area and was very impressed with the build quality. After looking at many houses and builders we decided to go ahead with Cullers and couldn't be happier. Even added some custom features that we didn't notice until they were pointed out and were blown away. Would definitely do business with again again. Poor customer service and workmanship. The backsplash in my kitchen was done very poorly and looked like a rush job. It looks nothing like the kitchen in the model home. I attempted to contact the builder several times with no response. I only received a call after I got my realtor involved. They refuse to acknowledge the poor workmanship or fix the backsplash correctly and are only offering a quick fix. read more
