The price that was listed on the shelf was 29 euros. After purchasing the card and leaving the store, I realized that I had paid over 70 euros! I immediately returned and told a young man in the back of the store that the card was the incorrect price and that I needed to return it. He took the card and gave me a printed paper in french that I did not understand. I asked in french if he needed my credit card and he said no. I waited weeks for the charge to be reversed. Eventually I contacted my credit card company. Darty has contested the charge. So I paid an exorbitant price for an item that I don't even posses! ------- Ce magasin m'a volé près de 100 $. A bit slow and sketchy, but hey, ici c'est France. :-) Velib station right around the corner from the store, for when you are brave enough to ride a bike and carry folding chairs in the basket, one handed. Luc was our guide and chef, and did a really great job. We enjoyed shopping for ingredients at the market just a few blocks away from the Le Foodist kitchen. Once back to the kitchen, Luc gave us the run down of what we would be making. Instructions were clear, and we all worked together to put a 3 course lunch together. I even learned a few cool new techniques such as a simple "sous vide" by tightly wrapping chicken in plastic wrap and cooking in hot water. Fun, educational and delicious. They offer a variety of different classes and I would highly recommend when visiting Paris.

The process was so easy and friendly from start to finish - booking with Fred was prompt and very accommodating, and Chef Stefane welcomed us in making us feel like we were visiting a friend in Paris. The facility was clean and beautifully appointed (and air conditioned!), making a comfortable experience. All 4 of us enjoyed the process, learned so much, and loved the tea while we sampled our finished product. We took the extras with us - what a treat for days! In addition, Stefane went above and beyond to help us plan our remaining days in Paris - we were so grateful for his kindness and local knowledge!
