GREAT FROM FAR, GREAT FROM START TO FINISH…read more How does one describe perfection? The Beautery does an amazing job from beginning to end. The staff speak English, the space is airy and inviting and the nail technicians are on point. Desperately needed a mani / pedi: as my godson would say my feet looking like I was "playing soccer with rocks", and I had two hangnails that were driving me to distraction Normally, I have a nail job every 2 weeks. I had changed jobs, changed countries, was flying considerable distances for work, renovating a house and clearing out another: let's just say that after months of being hidden away in work boots and woollen socks, the feet had seen better days. Enter The Beautery I was so relaxed, I forgot to give my technician instructions on how I like the nails shaped. I needn't have bothered: not only did my technician complete one foot without me noticing but also rendered the nails to perfection I had to stop working on my computer multiple times to see of the technician had fallen asleep: I could not feel a thing. And the nail job -- EASILY one of the best manicures I've ever enjoyed. If I was being really nitpicky I would mention that the sofa in reception has small stains on it, the little cup of water they offered just felt like an afterthought and the way the foot tub area is designed is awkward for men and taller women. And in the grand scheme of things? I really couldn't give a damn. For service this good, tiny failings aren't even in the equation VERDICT: NEAR PERFECTION ACROSS THE BOARD,

Caused me to bleed not once but twice without much concern nor offer to give me a bandage nor discount. Cuts and raw from too much scraping, not enough soaking maybe. I spent another 8 euro at a nearby farmacy for antibacterial spray and bandage. This better not get infected. Other than that, color application neat.

Update** After…read morewriting this review on their page, they texted me saying "Fuck you" for writing this review. (I attached the photo below however just like a lot of other customers that have written reviews on here, they deleted the photos. How unprofessional. I'm sure their massages are great but don't get a manicure here. I asked for a black shellac manicure, they started to put it on my nails, then she realized the color was terrible and they ran out of black. Then they told me they don't have time to give me a shellac manicure so they instead painted my nails black (non-shellac). However when she painted them black, she only put one coat on and it looked terrible because she didn't care to even make it look good because they gave it to me for free. Then I told them I was disappointed with my experience and she responded with telling me that "I'm sure you make mistakes with the job you have so we all make mistakes" instead of just owning up to it. Not a way of handling customer service. I wish the woman realized that the color was terrible before putting it on me instead of just putting it on me. It was not professional and she didn't seem to care. I regret spending my last vacation day getting my nails done here in Barcelona.

My daughter's "permanent" shellac fell off four hours later and my nails have streaks and bubbles. This lady is not professional.

Small but mighty - this is your location for inexpensive and quick waxing…read more You enter a non-descriptive door off of a crazy busy tourist street and go up to 1st floor (2nd floor lol). Even though they buzzed you on the front door, they will need to buzz you in to the establishment. She'll take your name. You'll have a seat in the very sparse waiting room and they'll be with you quickly. To get the lower legs waxed you go into a room that's curtained off you step up onto a funky shelf where there's a little bars to hold onto. She comes in with a pot of hot wax and has you tested on your leg. If it's a little too hot, she'll stir it some more. Then you get slapped with wax on both side sides of the legs all the way around and she peels it off quickly. Totally painless. And then because this is not only a efficient establishment they are thoughtful one they do it a second time around so that all the tiny little hairs get taken off. When you come to get down, she'll give you cotton an alcohol to clean your feet off before you put your shoes on. You go upfront to pay, leave a tiny tip (1€ or so) in CASH (they prefer), and you're on your way. Easy Peezy. No appointment needed and you should be done within 15 minutes or so. TL/dr: fast and easy but super efficient and cheap leg waxing
