The environment is friendly and welcoming. They have many tables for snooker, 9 ball and 8 ball pool. The food is simple but tasty and the prices are good value for money. It's also situated in a very handy place close to my home. I knocked it down to 4 stars due to the decor which I believe is overdue a freshen up. It still has the looks of an old school snooker hall that kids would dog school to go and play out of sight. The membership fee hasn't gone up much over the years so still around £15 for an adult annual membership. Then you only pay for the time you were on the table when you're playing.

Good music that you could play Metallica and Megadeth all day on:) the price you can pretty much book a table all day for a set price, and you would easily get your money's worth. The people in the club seemed a bit rough, although they kept themselves to themselves I thought they were giving me and my friends dirty looks, although I was perhaps being paranoid. You don't need to be a member to play a game here and it is open to everyone over the age of 12. It is not pay per play and rather you have to book the table by the hour and this costs £3, which isn't too bad at all if there are 4 of you and you are playing doubles. There is also the option where you can play all day for £8. Locarno Snooker Club also have a bar, although I did not have a look at the prices, I can imagine that it is pretty cheap as they seem to tailor themselves as a working men's club.
