I had to say goodbye to my beloved hamster Ellie on Valentine's Day 2018. I finally decided to get an Ellie plushie made after all this time. I placed an order Dec 11th. Their website said I needed to pay for a rush order fee to receive before Christmas. Cuddle Clones still shipped it ground and now I won't receive the package until Dec 29th. Below is their response when I asked for a refund of the rush order fee. I paid $50 for PJ bottoms. I completely understand why this is frustrating, and I'm really sorry for the disappointment around the delivery timing. I want to clarify how the $9.99 rush fee works so everything is transparent. The rush service applies only to expediting the production time, not shipping. Your item was produced within the expedited production timeframe, which means the rush service was fulfilled as purchased. The delivery dates shown on our website are estimates, based on typical production and shipping timelines, but they are not a delivery guarantee. Once an order ships, the final delivery timing is fully handled by the carrier, and unfortunately delays--especially during the holidays--are outside of our control. However, I would warn them of the lengthy process. Perhaps you need a few more hires in the custom design area plus another IT person who can make the order status page useful. That could eliminate the need for a couple of customer service people having to go through the inbox and sending people updates about their order status. if that's the lengthiest piece of the puzzle, transfer them to the design area to learn from the talented veterans. I ordered on Feb 2 and received my order on March 27. I checked the status probably every 2-3 days during those 8 weeks. Every single time I checked, the status said "processing". Wonderful way to accept the grief after losing a loved pet. We found it really helped us process the emptiness. Also, our other dog has been grieving tremendously. They personally felt a little too sad to have their clone around the house and wanted to return it. cuddle clones return policy seems too good to be true for a custom product but it was just that easy. I emailed them within 30 days of receiving the clone and they returned the full profit to my original payment method. On February 2, 2025, I placed an order with the four-week rush creation option to help comfort my grieving cat. On February 28, I was told my order was being sent to Akron for final checks and that I would receive tracking information in a few days. When that didn't happen, I reached out on March 7, and Manuela responded that my order was "on its way" with a USPS tracking number. However, that tracking number only shows that a shipping label was created in Jamaica, NY, and the package is still in Pre-Shipment status--which means it hasn't actually been shipped. Now, in response to my complaint, Cuddle Clones is claiming that everything is "proceeding as expected" and that their tracking system is functioning normally. This is false. If my order was "on its way" on March 7, why is it still stuck in Pre-Shipment with no movement in "Jamaica New Jersey" when it was supposed to be in Akron Ohio? The truth is, I have received conflicting information at every step, and instead of addressing the issue, they are doubling down with excuses and false assurances. I wish I had read the reviews before placing my order, because this entire experience has been misleading and frustrating. One of the worst experiences I've ever had. I lost my dog January 6th and ordered one of these a couple days later so that I could hold him again. I sent in tons of pictures and even filled up all of the extra slots. It looked nothing like my pet and they didn't even use the eye color I chose. I was devastated when I opened the package. I had the option to return with a list of things to fix which idk how to even go about a list it needed completely redone or get a refund. I was going to get it repaired and I started reading reviews about how they sent for repairs and they sent back the same thing and now they have no more options. As reflected elsewhere throughout these reviews and complaints, I would not recommend ordering any product from this company. I placed an order for a hoodie with an image of our sweet golden retriever on December 1, 2025. This was intended to be a Christmas gift for my son. When checking out, I elected to pay an additional "rush" fee of $10.00 to ensure delivery by December 25th. This was in addition to the addition to the exorbitant $90.00 purchase price, plus $14.00 shipping fee, I paid an additional $10.00 "rush" fee to receive my order by Christmas. My total with tax was $122.24. On December 18, having still not received my order, I contacted customer service and was advised on the same day that the item had been produced and was with the fulfillment team and "we're doing everything we can to expedite shipments." On December 22, my order still had not shipped and I contacted customer service again and was advised that hoodies were experiencing a delay in production. This was contrary to the December 18th email that advised my order had been produced and was awaiting shipment. The order finally arrived on January 6, 2026 and I was disappointed with the result. The embroidered image is oddly shaped and the colors are very muted. I would also note that when ordering the item, the website did not offer the opportunity to review and approve the cropping of the photo uploaded. This is definitely not a $100 item. I then contacted Cuddle Clones reporting my disappointment in both the service and quality of product received and requested a refund. Cuddle Clones responded requesting a photograph of the product, which I quickly sent. I then received a second request for another better-quality photograph. Upon review, the photo I submitted was perfectly adequate and is attached here. Rather than continue to waste more time dealing with this company, I've elected to use my time to warn other customers not to do business with this company. Unfortunately the golden retriever they had as their base model was/ is very odd looking, but I thought it just needed his features added in and it would be fine. But no. The package I received has a stiff "golden retriever "and it didn't stand and without falling over. It did not does it. It did not The only bendable part was its feet. IT LOOKED NOTHING LIKE A GOLDEN RETRIEVER! AND IT LOOKED ABSOLUTELY NOTHING LIKE MY DOG. And the return and or adjust policy absolutely baloney. You can do one of two things first you can send it back and have them adjust it, but you can only do that once on their time.( even though it says happiness guaranteed). Secondly, you can just send it back and say no refund your money. They sent me back the exact same dog after I sent it back with changes. They don't know what they're doing. They portray themselves as a US company but all of their products are produced in China. The promises they make for delivery are at best misguided more likely deceptive. Two orders that were made in early December, with extra fees for Rush Production and Rush Delivery are still not at either of the shipping addresses I provided (today is December 26th). When dealing with their "customer service" the answers I get back are always at midnight or 1:00 in the morning meaning they're not on this side of the planet, which also tells me that this company is basically a marketing company they have nothing to do with production or delivery.
