I receive a report card and photos of her from Enrichment Day Care, which I just love. The team there knew Athena the moment we walked through the door after her first stay. While dropping her off, we witnessed many other dogs being dropped off, all just as happy and excited to be there as Athena. That says a lot about the place when the dogs are happy to be there. I then see her chest rise and fall. I slowly try to pick her and she screams. I backboard her with my sunshade and off I go looking for a vet. My friend is calling as I'm driving. Several vets we called said don't come here we are busy, even my friend's established vet refuses to help. Called Paddock and told Dr. Chelsey was going to lunch but would wait for us. I rush this poor 3 lbs yorkie over that's suffering, to be met by the sweetest vet and gentle. This wasn't our dog but we all shed a tear for this angel who couldn't be saved. The doctor was waiting for us basically at the door. I won't use anyone else now because of how she treated us that day.
