As soon as you walk in you're greeted by a whimsical atmosphere with dim lighting and thoughtfully curated photos lining the walls. Their cocktail menu offers a great variety of creative handcrafted drinks. We visited near the end of the evening so they were out of a few of their signature cocktails. However I was pleasantly surprised when I challenged the head mixologist to create something refreshing based on a few flavor preferences I shared. He absolutely delivered which ended up being one of my favorite parts of the experience and a great example of their attention to customer service and creativity. I'd definitely return to see what else they have to offer and highly recommend it if you're looking for a uniquely intimate spot with great cocktails and an inviting ambiance.

Disappointing Experience at Willow Speakeasy - Poor Service and Unprofessional Treatment…read more Our experience at Willow Speakeasy was extremely disappointing, especially considering that we were looking forward to enjoying a nice date night. Our reservation was for 7:15 PM, and we arrived on time. However, we rang the doorbell four times before anyone let us inside. At one point, a man came running down the alley and began banging on the neighboring door. When I rang the bell again, he finally responded that he was on his way to let us in and seat us. Unfortunately, this was only the beginning of an unpleasant experience. Once seated, we were informed that we had only one hour and 15 minutes to dine. We understood that reservations may have time limits, but we expected timely service within that window. Unfortunately, it took a while for our cocktails and appetizers to arrive. We ordered the lump crab cake, which was delicious, and the 24-hour lamb chops, which were extremely disappointing and had to be sent back. Approximately 45 minutes into our visit, we were told that our time was up and that we needed to leave. I explained that we were still waiting on our food because the lamb chops had to be returned, and my partner had ordered jerk wings as a replacement. We also wanted to order another round of cocktails. As soon as we received the replacement wings and our additional cocktails, another woman approached us with an extremely aggressive and rude attitude, insisting that we had to leave because a larger party was waiting for our table. She even stated that we should not have been seated there in the first place because there were only two of us. When we attempted to explain the situation and how disappointing our visit had been, she said she had nothing to do with the seating arrangements, that she had been called in to work despite having a broken foot, and that she was not even supposed to be working. She then presented us with our bill. At that point, we had had enough. We left our remaining food and drinks, went to the bar, and paid our bill. I requested that the lamb chops we had sent back be removed from the bill, which they did, and we received a 20% discount. While I appreciate the adjustment, it did not make up for the overall experience or the way we were treated. What made the situation even more frustrating was that we noticed two other couples who had been seated before us were still there when we left. They had not been approached or told that their time was up in the same manner. This inconsistency made us question why we were being rushed out, especially when our own service had been delayed. Perhaps the restaurant was anticipating a busy evening because it was Sweetest Day, but if reservations have strict dining time limits, those policies should be communicated clearly and enforced fairly. Guests should not be rushed out before they have had a reasonable opportunity to enjoy the food and drinks they ordered, particularly when delays are caused by the restaurant's own service. We came to Willow Speakeasy hoping for a memorable date night, good food, great cocktails, and a welcoming atmosphere. Instead, we experienced delayed service, disappointing food, inconsistent treatment, and an unnecessarily confrontational interaction with staff. A 20% discount does not erase a disappointing experience. Good hospitality is about more than serving food and collecting payment. It is about making guests feel welcomed, respected, and valued. Unfortunately, that was not our experience at Willow Speakeasy. Based on this visit, I would hesitate to recommend Willow Speakeasy to others. We arrived ready to enjoy our evening and support the establishment, but we left feeling unwelcome, rushed, and disappointed. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and reviews its reservation policies, communication, food quality, and staff conduct to ensure future guests have a much better experience.

The restaurant was getting full by 6pm, so having a reservation is probably best. We finally got a chance to eat here and decided on the Tasting Menu ($95/pp, the whole table has to have it) because a lot of the dishes were items we were already looking at. We started off with some drinks, all the drinks were well balanced and not too sweet-perfect. For Tequila: Good Behavior & (Mezcal): Better Off Red were super delicious. Note for the tasting menu (for the 2 of us), they plated 1 dish per course so just note that you do not each get a separate plate so I'm assuming the portions are double (although I wonder what they do for a single person and the whole trout...). I guess it's nice to share a plate so my hubby could enjoy more food but seems like a lot of plates and silverware getting used/changed with each course so it makes me wonder why each person doesn't just get their own portion. Anyway, first course: I don't really like scallops, but these scallops was cool, refreshing with a very mild scallop flavor so I really enjoyed it! Second: tomato tart with goat cheese +heirloom tomatoes salad (very good), Third: Ricotta Gnocchi (YUM), a lot of pancetta pieces, Fourth: Whole trout (the chef removed 95% of the bones, yay, loved that. It was pretty mild taste which was overall good, I liked all the different mushrooms that came with it & Last: Banana Split- feels healthy with the banana there and wow, the cherries look like Luxardo ones. Honestly, this was a good amount of food (I wasn't overly stuffed thankfully but full). I would definitely recommend the Tasting Menu (note, no modifications/subs allowed) and was glad we ordered it. The pacing was not hurried (we were not in a rush), but they can definitely accommodate (bring 2 courses out at a time), if you need to be somewhere by a certain time for a show or game. They also have a free parking lot (fenced in)! We will most definitely be back, it was an amazing night at Bar Pigalle!

Both the steak and fries were cooked to absolute perfection, as was the gnocchi. To top it all off, our server was wonderful. Highly recommend They did provide a sweet birthday crème brûlée!
