Most of our conversation centered on community engagement -- building real connection within the community through the events and shows we already run, rather than treating marketing as something separate from that. He clearly cares about the small business community here, not just landing a client. Didn't walk away with a slide deck of empty promises, just a useful reframe on how to think about it. Would go back for more.

We discussed how Ideology works, what they do for there clients, and how they use social media, seo, yelp, and other essential tools to help businesses reach there target audience. Kym will not only walk you through the process of getting your product or service out there, but will also back it up with real results and testimonials from his own clients. I can't rely 100% on my own limited experience. David Mitroff (the man in the picture) was extremely generous with his time over the phone. I told him abt a potentially risky sales contract I was considering. He took at least 20 minutes to go over with me how I can mitigate that risk and what I should do to prepare for negotiation. He did not have to do that. But he wanted to make sure I didn't get scr3w3d over. He didn't want to see me fail. For that reason, Piedmont Avenue will be the first place I come to once I'm ready for a deeper strategic conversation and more hands-on assistance. Will update once I have more to say. Thanks David!

We turned to Next Step to help us figure out why engagement was low on a new platform we had launched less than a year prior. By taking a Behavioral Science approach to assessing platform engagement and synthesizing user feedback, we were able to quickly pinpoint our platform's core issues and take action on design and messaging. It was a much needed "website intervention" that gave us clear insights into what we need to change to move forward with a more successful product. Subsequently, we've gone back to Next Step with three more projects, focused on A/B testing core value props, advising on digital product design and development (to ensure it aligns with what we've learned), and identifying key influencers and audience segments needed to grow platform engagement. Shirin and her team have been great to work with - true partners in every sense of the word. They're super smart and very reliable, keeping us focused and in-line with reality. From now on, I'm 100% in the Behavioral Science camp of digital marketing and product development.
