New, clean and modern. Good selection. Much better than the grocery store across the street.

Yes yes I still feel very strongly about loving HyVee…read more TOP quality FRUITS and vegetables -- bananas especially tasty and last almost a full week BIG daily restocked selection of nice green generous sized fruit. LOVE love SUMO ORANGES - - my most favorite of all fruit. We lived last 5 years in Florida ( moved back to MN in January) and had incredible fruit / became enamored especially with the deep especially juicy rich flavor of the Sumo orange. There's nothing like them. Now can't eat other oranges- - nothing compares, highly addictive! Amazing with bananas and sweet pineapple cut up and eaten with 4 % milk fat cottage cheese with a generous teaspoon of mayo on top of the cottage cheese. Amazing! Fresh fruit and fresh veggies provide our bodies with the VERY best nutrients and vitamins of all other food groups. Steaming not boiling veggies also preserve the highest level of vitamins. ( Dad was a Prof of Biochemistry at a med school.). We are basically what we eat. Fresh meat fresh chicken fresh seafood cooked at home are the most nutritious way of eating . Vitamin A found in the greatest level in fresh apricots and beet green tops helps fight and prevent cancer. Lunds is a gorgeous store but way way too expensive for me. Target is a great option for super low prices but stock/ variety are VERY limited and fruits veggies are extremely limited/ manhandled a lot by customers. Flavor is lacking in potatoes yams and in a lot of Targets fruit which is picked when green. Target runs after the cheapest resource. Their quality is not great. Then CLEANLINESS is essential to me. HyVee aces this. I love the WIDE spacious aisles, the extremely high ceilings and non glaring softer lighting. Thus you have a calmer more relaxed ambiance - - rare today in grocery stores. I come EVERY week here. Their daily sales on beef chicken and pork in special cases, some seasoned thus ready to cook, are excellent FRESH QUALITY! GREAT SALE PRICES too. Their homemade giant variety of FRESH BRATS are pure heaven - - cheddar and original are my FAVORITES! Their " drug store". Cosmetics Liquor store and kitchen dining products are beautiful with a wonderful selection. GIANT selection of tiny hand held liquor bottles at $.99 each too! ENJOY!!!!!!

If I want to shop in a messy, no frills grocery store, I'll shop at Walmart....at least they bag your groceries.

Everyone is always so friendly, the cuts are always so fresh, and you can't really go wrong! We love getting their picanha and Billy brats if we want to grill out but truly you can't go wrong with any of their meats. It's nice because there's also a small cafe inside so if you're super hungry, you can grab a sandwich and some fixings to hold you over if it's a trek to get back home like it is for us. We'll be going on hiking trip in a few days and actually stopped in to get a pound of their beef jerky which we'll vacuum seal and take with us to snack on. Super great Smokey flavor, perfect snack to nibble on, and keeps super well!

I truly wanted to try the pre-made foods. We walked in and the lights were dimmed. It felt more like I was walking into an art gallery than an Asian grocery store. No one shouting. No funky smells. The produce section was what I walked into first. I was met with 4 green onions, 2 onions, a bag of bean sprouts, and a few fruits but all the produce were all wilted. At least everything else was neatly organized. Then we went to the sauce area, then to the ramen, then to snacks and so forth. All the products were at least 25% or more, higher in price than what's available in the grocers in St. Paul. Yes, you're paying more for the ambiance. Make the drive over to the hundreds of other Asian grocery stores there. I don't even live close and I make the effort to do my big grocery shopping in St. Paul for the price and variety. Anyway, I didn't see any or much SE Asian grocery items that would help me cook my dishes. Most items were catered to East Asian cuisine. Their precooked food area was sad. The pre-cooked rice looked mushy. The breads were dried and flaky. Disappointed to say the least. As an Asian person, I wouldn't frequent the establishment even in desperate times.

I was thrilled to see that there is an Asian grocery in Woodbury and it's just down the road from Costco. So I gassed up with some cheap fuel, bought a vacuum that I probably don't need (Costco, amiright?) and swung into United Noodles with my ramen recipe. The store is immaculate and well organized. The woman working the counter was super helpful and showed me where all my ingredients were located. They have an impressive selection of Asian and Hawaiian brands. I'm looking forward to shopping here more often!

I'm one of those dinosaurs that still collects movies. Tuesday is the day that movies come out 99%…read moreof the time. Like most folks I like to get my movies on release date. Well, this time, I was actually a day late and went on a Wednesday. Not that it really matters with this location, I've been here many times to pick up movies and almost always have been disappointed. However, they've usually been able to rectify the situation. Go in the back, find the box, and pull the movie out that I need so I can buy it. Last night I went in to buy Antman & The Wasp Quantimmania, A wide release movie that everybody would probably have multiple copies of. I walked up to the familiar nearly empty new release rack. The newest movies released on it were from three weeks ago, the rest, empty spots. They had tags for AM&TWQ but nothing there. I grab the nearest employee who pretty much just gave me a simple shrug she then flagged down a "shift leader" Who explained to me that? The movies were somewhere in the back and that she didn't know where they were and was unwilling to go look for me. As I've said in the past I've gone here seen movies. Not out flagged down an electronic department employee who's simply went back and grab the movie for me so this was not out of not knowing where things. Are she was just being lazy and didn't want to help a customer. I went to the front desk and talked to the manager on duty who sat back. There apologized and said he would discuss it at the morning meeting not once. Did he think to get up off his ass and go on the back and look for the movie. So why went to the Target down the street gave them my money instead. Last night was my last stop at Walmart in Woodbury. I'll just drive a little further and go to west saint paul or hudson wisconsin where they actually have the merchandise I want and competent employees.
