Poor service! Lack of patient care. They said that they couldn't find a specialist for my dad within Bay Area and that he needs to go SoCAL to get a specialist. However, when I checked my dad's insurance, there were multiple options within the area. Their advice was to wait until next year to get a different insurance, which is not acceptable due to my dad's health condition. UNACCEPTABLE! UNPROFESSIONAL! read more

Great Doctor he's very helpful and understanding. The wait can sometimes be long but it is worth the wait read more

Cu Joseph A MD - Internal Medicine Near Me - San Jose, California

Great service from the staff and from Dr. Cu, was always hesitant to go for check ups and in general, to the Doctor but he made it easy, comfortable and gave great advise...which I needed. Over all very satisfied. read more

He is always late to start his clinic hours, it's takes 2 hours or more of waiting., even it was a scheduled appointment..He is nice as a Doctor but not good enough to manage his time.. BAD TIME MANAGEMENT.. read more

I had this person for over 2 years as designated Primary Care Physician under Santa Clara Valley Health Plan.....if I was ever sick, or needed a prescription, I could never count on this Professional to assist me in a timely manner. What do I mean by timely manner??? Imagine having bronchitis & you requested an appointment.....the receptionist would respond 2 weeks+++ for the next available appointment. Think about getting a physical??.....1 month +++ for nearest visit & then they canceled/rescheduled my prospective visit. I'd go get prescriptions from my kids doctors down the street or have to visit midnight clinics elsewhere for service. Sad but whole heartedly the Truth. I'm a humble, sincere reviewer & don't mean harm....but either he's the greatest physician in this area or he's Chris Angel!?! read more

Bad Medical Assitant ever, non professional at all, they dont know how to help people when they said URGENT, the MA talk to the patient like "i dont care" or "that's your problem, not mine". I wish it have negative start instead with 1 start, this office take forever for the appointment. read more

I just got retired and my first time to use my Medicare Insurance for my Doctor's visit and my first time to get medical visits with Dr Joseph Cu at the San Jose office. If I can only give him 10 Yelp stars I will do it. My first visit with him was really great. He was very thorough, knowledgeable and very attentive on all of inquiries about my health issues. I am so happy to have him as my new doctor-he got all the qualifications and care that I need. His experience speaks how good doctor he is. I would like to commend his staffs as well, they were so nice and give good customer service. Thank you Dr Joseph Cu for giving me the best service and thank you to staffs too. read more

Dr. Cu is great and his staff seem to be very busy but they make sure to call back by the end of the day and always follow through with what they say there going to take care of. For instance I'm leaving state for a family emergency and they called me at about 6 to let me know they called my RX in early. Thanks to Dr. Cu's Squad! read more

Dr Cu's staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Cu himself is very knowledgeable, demonstrates mastery of topics we discussed and has a clear passion for keeping his patients healthy. I am really happy having him as my primary care physician. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Cu for many years...since around 1999, I think. I truly appreciate him as a doctor and as a person, as he is listens and is overall thorough. HOWEVER, I have to say that waiting for over an hour- sometimes up to 2 hours- is not acceptable. I have mentioned this to him before, but it's still the same every time I come to see him. This is something that needs to be improved on. I hate to leave such low stars...but I see a total of 5 different doctors for various health conditions, and the wait is never this long! (I am sitting waiting to be seen as I write this review. My appointment was at 1045. It is now almost 1230). The other issue is that I could hear everything that goes on next door in the next patient's room...! read more

We had a very unfortunate experience with this doctor and his staff... I was calling to follow up on an authorization for one of my father's prescription. The reason for this was because I had been calling almost every week for the past 2 months to get them to approve / expedite the authorization for my father's medicine... The pharmacy claims to have sent the request several times... We counted 16 separate events since september until now. When I called the doctor's office... They insisted that they have not gotten or received any request... On top of that , they would not even offer any solution to the issue... So frustrating!!! Now in the process of selecting another PCP for my father.... read more

Terrible service and rude receptionists. They are not helpful at all and they talk down to you. The clinic is super ghetto and its probably for the best that I just left. Stay away from this place at all costs!!! read more

He is the best around. I recently moved and the doctor I went to wanted to put me on high bp meds after just 1 spiked reading. I refused because I have been a patient of Dr. Cu for 4 years now and he worked with me to reduce my weight and keep my cholesterol, triglyceride and blood sugar levels at the optimum level. He is also very caring and listens to my questions and concerns. I still come to the Bay Area and have my check-ups/follow-ups with him. The office staff were always friendly and helpful and really tries to accommodate my needs when it's urgent. Oh, he is also my sister's, my brother's, and my husband's PCP. read more

I like Dr. Cu. This doctor does not sugar coat it and gives it to you straight. I've read some of the bad reviews and don't understand how that could be. This doctor takes his time with each patient, that's why appointments take a few weeks to book. I'd refer him to friends if they ask. read more

I wish there was a negative stars option. I have had the extreme misfortune of having this doctor assigned as my PCP. First off, it took me 4 months just to be seen for my initial visit. 4 MONTHS! when I finally seen the doctor I was treated like I didn't know what I was talking about (I've had an ongoing condition that requires medication for the last 5 yrs). He didn't believe what I told him so he had to get records from my last doctors. Which took him another few weeks. Finally when he got those records I was sent to get lab work done. Then he wouldn't see me for another month. All this time I'm without medication for my condition. After a month I see him again and he confirms what I officially originally told him and says he will refer me to a specialist(which is all I wanted to begin with). After a few weeks the referral never came. He told me if that was the case to just call him. So I did.... They have no idea what I'm talking about. I would have thought a referral is common knowledge for health care professionals... Not here. It's been a few days of tag and them saying they will call me back and they never have. Still no referral. I've never seen such incompetence in my life. I can't wait to I get my referral and never have to deal with this place again. It just seems like he doesn't care. Even when I had time with him he never showed any emotion or interest. Terrible place. read more

Worst place ever. They never return my calls. I have to call 5 times before I get any response. They never get my lab results. I literally have to give it to them over and over. This place is horrible. I never felt so disappointed. The only people that go here are old folks that have hella time to wait. I'm done with this dump. They are charging 15$ to get all my previous medical records. Totally worth it to get out of here. Never ever coming back. read more
