It is unfortunate to see that others did not have the similar pleasent experience that I had on my eight (8) day tour around WEST USA to Yellowstone National Park in Montana and Mt. Rushmore in South Dakota. Along the way we had a jam-packed schedule which I am not complaining about because it made us very productive, and always on-the-go seeing new sights. We covered eight (8) states which included: California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, and South Dakota. Along the way we visited several historic sites like Antelope Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and many more! Each hotel we stayed at were very nice and clean. We only stayed at one motel which was just outside of Yellowstone (in Montana). Four (4) out of the seven (7) hotels provided free breakfast. During the drives, we would only be on the road for about one hour thirty minutes (1:30) to two (2) hours at a time. We would stop at rest stops and/or lunch. Each lunch stop had a Chinese buffet ranging from $14-$16 (drink included). BEWARE, avoid the Las Vegas Buffet in Nevada! It is HORRIBLE. To the left of that buffet there is a small Mexican restaurant which I recommend. Each buffet had neighboring restaurants which my party chose to do because it turned out cheaper than paying ~$15 per person. My tour guide's name was Paul and the driver's name was Mr. Shung (or Jung?). Paul was a nice tour guide, but some of his remarks to others were very rude and unprofessional. He spoke in both Chinese and English. He has a slight accent which made his English a little hard to understand, so I would just wait until we got to each spot to see what the names of those places were (i.e. Grand Prismatic & Painting Pots). I wish he knew a little more insight about each place because the descriptions he shared was very short and bland. The whole tour was time-managed very well. We stayed at each sight for about fifty (50) minutes to an hour. We were always on time and Paul made sure we were never late because we had a lot of places to visit. As for the driver, I liked him very much. There was never a time where I felt unsafe with his driving. His speed stayed constant at 75mph (I sat in the front so I noticed his speed). Thankfully, the people on our bus was not loud at all. And if I was I annoyed I would have just put in my earphones. So I have no complaints there. This tour company is catered mostly towards Chinese individuals, however, I myself am not Chinese and I still enjoyed every second of the trip. Well, my family vacation turned out to be more like a boot camp thanks to our tour guide "Kiwi." His organizational skills were non-existent, communication was a puzzle, and seating arrangements were unclear and confusing. He also late for picking us up. His schedule was a mystery to all of us, I speak both English and Chinese, so especially when he switched to Chinese - I felt like I owe him money lol. He sounded so Rude. His restroom policy was a highlight too: 10 minutes for a break, but don't be two minutes late back or you're left behind, is bro for real? We have like almost 50 people and only one gas station restroom. Sure, he wanted us back on time, but did he really need to lecture us like we're recruits? And to top it off, tipping him was mandatory ???- because clearly, the Gucci shoes that he is wearing and his Coach shirt, wasn't going to pay for itself. Bad organization, not enough time for each attraction. Each attraction was about 15 mins , sometime a little bit more time but still not enough. Tour guide needed to get more professional and considerate of elderly. They can't walk fast like young people. And also people gonna need to use bathroom, so please don't shame people for that. However, he didn't introduce too much details about each location regarding the history, culture, weather, and special points, and so on... The driver of the bus RR377 was extremely rude, had no courtesy to passengers, and swore to passengers using obscene language, on a one-day trip to the Red Canyon Valley, on March 16th, 2025. He had no clear knowledge of how to get to one of the destinies, and no patience to answer passengers' questions. When he was asked about routes and destinies of the trip, he was apparently impatient, reluctant, and uttered rude remarks. He swore "他妈的" which is an F word in an Asian language. Wow, so the end of the trip was terrible. After dropping people off in Fremont, the driver didn't close the luggage door correctly, and 3 luggages fell onto the road while it was driving. This caused a 2 hour delay while everyone had to identify their luggage and make sure it was present. Finally at the last stop, my mom gets out and THERE IS NO LUGGAGE. My family and I took the "In-depth Yellowstone National Park Tour from Denver: Crazy Horse, Mount Rushmore, Grand Teton National Park, Jackson Hole, Salt Lake City, Great salt lake and Arches National Park". It was a great experience! The highlight of the trip was the springs of Yellowstone national Park. We bused in the early morning and visited multiple sites throughout the 2 days we had. A close second was Arches National Park. The landscape was beautiful, but it was a roasting 86 F that day ouch! There were plenty of opportunities to take photos for the gram at every location though. Generally each day started with a bus ride from the hotel (6 am or 8 am leave) to the sites, followed by a 30-60 min stay. Lunch and dinner were generally decent. The bus would drop everyone at a neighborhood and everyone is free to choose where to eat. Our tour guide (Sean) and driver (Aaron) were excellent. Sean is very friendly and knowledgeable, he was able to guide and teach us on each of the national parks and locations we stopped at. He is bilingual in English and Chinese, so even ABCs like myself can follow along. Aaron is kind and is a safe driver, getting us to the destinations safely. All in all, I would recommend. read more

My first solo trip, I took Lake Tahoe and Boreal Ski, the pick up was on time, clean minivan, good hotel booking ( stay at Circus circus Reno), good food and restroom stops, driving was very safe even on the snow. The tour guide, Mr. Anthony, took us to two spots at Lake Tahoe, both very beautiful, the entire mountain range and the lake was clearly visible. Had a tour from LA to San Fran/ Yosemite. As it was my first time with C tour co, didn't quite know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised by what great value it was. Around usd 670 for three full on days with good quality hotels inc breakfast. The itinerary was packed with activities and overall we saw/did a lot during these 3 days from wildlife to delicious Vietnamese pho. The driver was very polite and the guide Kiwi super relaxed. Overall, I found it a pleasant experience and would probably use C tour again, because of what great value it was. One thing I'll say don't expect an in-depth and insightful commentary and try and do some research before you go as you'll definitely need some knowledge to fill up the gaps. Understand that this company mainly serves customers from Asia so many lunch/ dinner places are geared toward that niche. I caution everyone against purchasing any tour tickets from this tour guide company. For reference, our tour guide's name was Zac (or spelled Zack). We were given a three day itinerary. The first day would be a drive up from Los Angeles County, then a stop at Sequoia National Park, and finally a drive to our hotel, Clarion Inn, in Modesto, CA. The second day would be a tour of the Sacramento state Capitol and Lake Tahoe and then a drive to our hotel, Sand Regency Casino Hotel, in Reno, NV. The third day would be a drive back to Los Angeles County with one stop at Mono Lake. On the first day, we were supposed to head from Los Angeles County to Sequoia National Park. Due to the rainy and snowy weather, the trip to Sequoia National Park was canceled, and everyone on the tour bus was refunded $5. We were on the bus starting from 7:30a.m.-10p.m. that entire day. We arrived at the hotel at 10p.m. and were told that tomorrow, our second day, would be an early start beginning at 6:45a.m. On the second day, we were told that the tour guides called the Sacramento Capitol building ahead of time on multiple days to make sure that it would be open on November 29, 2019, which was Black Friday. When we reached the Capitol building, it was under construction and closed. We didn't get the opportunity to tour the Capitol building that day. Our second day was off to a bad start. To make matters worse, we also missed the ferry to Lake Tahoe. Everyone on the bus paid $68 to ride the ferry. This fee was collected as soon as everyone boarded the bus on day one. We were granted no bathroom breaks or rest stops during the drive from Sacramento to Lake Tahoe; yet, we were late to the ferry that our tour guide planned for us. When we missed the ferry, our tour guide initially didn't refund us the money. Luckily, the tour company found out about our tour guide's practices, and we were informed that the tour guides were not supposed to buy the ferry tickets ahead of time. That way, they make sure we don't miss the ferry. We eventually did get our refund for the ferry across Lake Tahoe. Thank goodness! I wish we got refunded more based on how unorganized the trip was. Also, this company requires a mandatory tip of $10 per day. It's not optional. Our tour guide collected our three day's worth of tips ($30) on day one. We had no well planned meal stops. Plans changed frequently due to our tour guide not knowing which areas had parking large enough to accommodate our tour bus. If you want to enjoy a trip to NorCal, I suggest scheduling and planning a flight and booking a nice hotel rather than save money by going along with this company. Please, don't spend your money on this company. I know it's tempting, but I truly believe it's much nicer to plan your own trip. My mom really wanted to go and bought tickets for my family and I, and it was too late for a refund, but every member of my family regretted this trip and agreed that our money could've been spent better. Maybe it was simply bad timing for this tour? I rather not take my chances again though. I've read some comments saying those on the bus enjoyed the trip. I just came back from a Yellowstone trip with my parents last week. We flew to Salt Lake City and from there starting the trip. The whole trip is very organized and efficient. I can tell the company is a Yellowstone expert, their buses were almost everywhere in Yellowstone. Our tour guide Benson is very knowledgeable, passionate for what he's doing and very considerate to every one of the tour members. All of the tour participants on the car like him. He took us to see almost every important and most famous attractions of Yellowstone. He knew where and how to see the best part of it. We were sooo lucky to see many animals such as a grizzly bear, a young black bear, elks, geese, rabbits, marmots, and a lot of bisons of course. The guide told us it was really rare to see two bears in two days. By the way, the hotel in Salt Lake City is nice and clean, though in West Yellowstone was not that fancy, but considered National Park sustainability, it's way better than I thought. The location is perfect since West Yellowstone is just steps away from west gate of Yellowstone National Park. It saves you a lot of time for driving and instead you will have more time exploring the Yellowstone. This trip is definitely one of the best experiences that we had in a few years. read more

When you made a mistake, don't you want to say sorry...and out of courtesy fixed that mistake.... but nothing from them, nothing from their group, nothing from the people who took one of luggage. Pleasantly surprised by the tour I just came back from (YS8). Our tour guide was Roy Zhou, who was really a fantastic individual! He was funny, considerate, flexible, and most of all was really organized in leading our group of 49 ppl, most of which were Chinese-speaking. I was born in the US, and although I can understand Chinese, I still requested that he translate certain things into English, which he did a really great job of! The food options were mostly catered towards Chinese individuals, where we stopped at Chinese buffets for lunch (ranging from $14-$16 a person, which includes drinks and tip). However, near every buffet was a non-Chinese food place in the same plaza, which I opted for! Roy did a wonderful job explaining the different places. He didn't push expensive products or expensive tours, and really told it like it is! There is a $10 service fee per day per person, which was stated well-before hand, and I felt was reasonable given the wonderful experience with the tour guide. Our driver was also a really nice gentleman who was funny and engaging. He was really safe and got us to our destinations in a timely manner. The only reason why I gave this place 4 stars instead of 5 stars is Bc the first day the pickup from the airport was rather confusing. They were almost an hour late, which I can forgive since there was an accident/lots of traffic on the LA highway. What really made me upset was that they told us the shuttle to the hotel was free, but they then said that there was a $10 fee per person. I told the lady that this was not what was stated in our email. But then, she circled it on the sheet of paper she had. So, definitely a little upset that we weren't told upfront. The $10 per person is fine, but I just wish I was notified ahead of time. I would have tipped a good amount, but this left a bad taste in my mouth. Overall, I really enjoyed my time. Unhappy and unconformable vacation - We joined the five days bus tour to Yellowstone from Salt Lake City on 8/6-10/2022. Actually, three days only, the first and last day on your own. The tour was expensive that we paid not we expected to get. The bus was old and air condition wasn't working during the hot weather temperature, it caused smell horrible inside the bus. The bus driver tried his best to fix but its failure. The CTour Hoilday motel room arrangements are miscommunication and confused, we had to make several calls to travel agents and waited for an hour to get a room. CTour Holiday picked the worst motel for this trip. The front desk service was unfriendly - not willing to provide missing basic items and never see their smile. Unexpected additional service charge - The tour guide requested us to pay four days tip in beginning of the first day advance. This is a worst bus tour we ever joined. Very rude drivers, they will attempt to hit your car with their bus. They will park wherever they can, even if there are signs forbidding the parking of busses in the lot. If I could give negative stars I would. This experience is absolutely horrendous, stay far away. You don't want to be stuck with a rude, unorganized tour guide that ignores you and screams at you half the time. Especially the guy named Zi, English name Rain. Yelp is saying I went over the text limit so here's screenshots detailing my experience. But basically: 1. You're not allowed to ask questions without attitude 2. Be confused about the itinerary, and not receive information and canyon rules until 2 hours into the 5 hours drive there. Such as a tip to have pockets to hold your phone because you're not allowed bags or to take pictures on the staircases. 3. Tipping is "required" before the tour starts and this guy probably won't even be your official tour guide. 4. He will scream at you for trying to get his attention when you just want to be treated fairly. You get to the counter first to get seating assigned earlier, but he will not tell you to line up until after he's already assigned people who get there later than you. Get into a screaming match and enter hotel security. 5. They tell you there will be pickup after a Vegas show, but don't show up and tell you to take a taxi back when you call the company because it's useless calling a guide that doesn't pick up. 6. Bad food that isn't worth it. Better off going around the area. 7. This guy have no problems yelling at customers, probably will yell at little girls too. read more

Booked a 7-day LV trip with CTour Holiday for my parents who don't speak English. The trip starts on 1/25/2020. However, the outburst of Wuhan coronavirus (2019-nCoV) killed 82 people, infected nearly a thousand, and potentially infected several thousands in China by the time the trip started. Because the tourists of CTour Holiday mostly come from China, it is possible that some are potential carriers. On 1/24, China banned all touring groups in the mainland to prevent spreading the deadly virus, but CTour Holiday continue their services, organizing trips for Chinese tourists, mostly in population dense areas in the US. I called the office, tried to cancel or reschedule the trip. The answer was no cancellation = 0% refund. I would agree if this was the good old days. But now the coronavirus is widely spreading and sickening people. The only two conditions that CTour Holiday agrees on a refund are either you directly come from Wuhan, or you are a doctor who needs to treat patients in China. As a matter of fact, it could take 1-14 days for an infected person to develop any symptoms. Tourists on the bus could be potential carriers. The warm, cozy bus can be a natural incubator for virus propagation. Expressing my concerns to their office results in cold responses like 'You could wear a mask', 'you are overreacting'. First, masks are out of stock from Amazon or local CVS stores in SF. We had a very frustrating experience with the service of CTOUR HOLIDAY for our San Francisco Tour from Costa Mesa, that we don't wanna do group tours again.. 1. Bad start. Pickup at 7am by a van. After an hour, transferred to a bus. Thought it was THE tour bus to SFO. But after another hour, had to transfer to another bus. So it was already past 9am that we started travelling for the tour. 2. Tour guide's ability to speak in english is unacceptable. Maybe this tour is really just FOR CHINESE. They should have told us. It's annoying that he's giving a long speech in chinese, but the english translation is (inaudible) one liner or two. 3. Early on the trip, it was announced that we had to pay USD154 (USD27 for mandatory tip for each person for the 3-day trip; USD50 for mandatory fee for several locations for the trip; USD42 for SFO cruise; USD35 for SFO deep tour -- which we never found out what). Paid for USD400 for 4pax before the actual trip. So paying an additional of USD154 for each person (USD616 in total) is unbelievable! More so, after the trip.. Soooo not worth it!!! 4. Deceiving itinerary! According to the itinerary we received prior to the trip, on the 2nd day, we had an option between Madam Tussauds & Exploratorium. But from our previous tours before, already saw a couple of these wax museums so we opted for Exploratorium. According to our agent, we'll have the OPTION on the actual day to pick which one we would join. But NOOOOOOO! The tour guide said, we only have to go to the wax museum. Unfortunately, it was one of the locations included in the USD50 mandatory fee. When we complained to the tour guide, he said, that's the problem with the agents, they would just say something to sell. So pissed off that I called the agent and told her how she lied about my options. She defended by saying it was the itinerary she received from the tour company. So who's lying?!? I don't know. We're already trapped. 5. Stopover for food is completely frustrating! On the way for food stopover (lunch & dinner), the tour guide kept on promoting these buffet restaurants. But he said, if we don't want to, our choice. WTF! We were in the middle of car accessories shops. We only had an hour to try and find a decent alternative. Of course, part of their business tactic, right? Didn't sell though. Who would want to eat in a buffet for barely an hour? No one would enjoy that. Besides, we don't even know the restaurant's reputation. 6. The only positive side I can say is we were in a decent hotel/inn for both nights. Although, it still deviated from the hotels mentioned in the itinerary. And another misinfomation.. we weren't told that breakfast was included in the 2nd hotel. Good thing we checked it ourselves. But the night before, we were informed, not just once, that he'll drop us to a place where we can get our breakfast on the way to Yosemite. This tour company doesn't deserve even this 1 star. Unfortunately, this is the lowest possible rate.. I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone!!! read more

My son was able to maneuver himself ahead & pass ahead without getting hit. That driver is a liability to your company & should not be driving passengers. I'm inclined to report this to Dept. We went to Grand Canyon Az. 3 day,2 night from Los Angeles The first thing that everyone objected to was that the tour guide collected 90.00 to enter Grand Canyon and collected 27.00 for gratuity up front . First day to Las Vegas stayed at Circus Circus it was O.K. 2nd day drove 5 hours to stay 1 hour in the Park then back in the bus 5hrs to LV. The conditions on the bus were shabby. Window shades, seats,and footrest were broken.The toilet remained locked I will not recommend this company to anyone read more

Yosemite was cancelled but was only notified on the day of the tour. Bus Broke down on the second day of the tour. Bus BROKE down again on the third day. We were supposed to leave Clarion Inn Hotel in Modesto, CA. Almost missed my flight. The Tour Guide Albert said he will take us to LAX but he doesn't even know if they can fix the bus. He said wait - i wont take a chance to miss my flight and what if the bus breaks down again some time later along the way - Who knows? He also said to have our friends meet us at LAX, i told him they can't because our Luggages and stuff our in the house. The Vendor is CTOUR in MONrOVIa - but TAKETOURS is not conducting full investigation of what really happened. I called and emailed them many times for a refund - Out of pocket expenses that i incurred since i took the greyhound bus to LA so i can come to my house and get my stuff and not mias my flight. They're refusing to refund my fare going back which is only one hundred fifty-two dollars for two persons for crying out loud. considering ALL the mess and inconveniences. I emailed them all the receipts and proof. Have some decency and do people right. read more

4 of us joined the 4 days Yellowstone tour. Tour guide Joseph and driver Jeff were awesome. 3 nights hotels were all nice and clean. The tour schedule was packed which is expected. It did mention to collect $80 for fuel and $10 service each day so no point to complain about this. If you don't agree then don't join. read more

My husband and i joined Yellowstone tour from 8/6 - 8/10. The first day we landed on Salt Lake City Airport and checked into hotel room. The next morning the tour guide collected 4 days tips and additional fee advance when the bus start running. (I thought the tips should collects at the end of each day after the service) He wasn't smiling through the whole trip. The bus was so old with broken a/c. We were sweating through the long rides. We got dropped off to the hotel at the 4th day and took the flight back home at the 5th day It was one whole day in park plus couple hours in somewhere each of 2nd and 3rd day. We paid $1796 tour fee, $240 additional fee and $96 tips plus airfare today $2692 for 2. That was not worthy. We stayed in 1 star motel at the first night in Yellowstone. i am not recommended. read more
