10 days 8 nights Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini & back to Athens with Affordable World in April was wonderful. We were met by a guide to escort us from the airport to the hotel. If you consider any upgrades, the hotel in Athens ONLY may be worth it. The hotels in Mykonos & Santorini were great. We enjoyed our tour with Nikols. The earpieces allowed us to hear throughout the tour. After the tour we wandered around Platka looking for food & shopping. We were escorted back to the ferry to leave for Mykonos. You must load your bags onto the ferry and leave your bags to go to your seats. The seats and ambience on the ferries are nice but the boarding and disembarking is a bit rough. You can also purchase food on the ferries. Mykonos was wonderful and the hotel was splendid. The walking tour with Kevin was nice, informative & he showed us all the great places & even gave us recommendations of restaurants. The food was fresh, little Venice was a great time! Then another ferry ride to Santorini which was a bit cramped but the hotel was gorgeous. The walking tour was nice. The experience was a bit rushed/brief but no complaints. It wasn't all that interesting but it was beautiful. We went on the catamaran sunset tour. AMAZING! We did lots of shopping at the markets near the hotel and went to Oia one evening for dinner and more shopping. The ferry back to Athens was very spacious and comfortable for the 8 hours of travel. 1 more day in Athens and then departed for home. Overall it was a great trip. 10 days 8 nights Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini & back to Athens with Affordable World in September was wonderful. But a bit breeze & cool. I would recommend a sweater or jeans jacket. If you get the opportunity upgrade the hotel in Athens ONLY, the hotels in Mykonos & Santorini were up to my standards but the 1 in Athens, Athens Avenue Hotel I would recommend do an upgrade. We frequent a restaurant across the street from the hotel called A Little Taste of Home Restaurant. The restaurant food was very good. We started off in Athens which I thought the tour to the Acropolis and museum the tour guide was long winded & lost a few of the group due to boredom. People started venture off on their own to view the sites instead of standing in 1 place listening to her talk for about 30 mins. Also I was disappointed that the tour didn't include us stopping and seeing the changing of the guards & the Olympic circle, we only were able to view these from the tour bus which wasn't ideal. At the end of the tour in Athens my group ventured off looking for food & found the Psaras Tavern a beautiful picturesque restaurant with beautiful & tasty food. The tour guide initially warn us about pickpocketers & we encountered 2 groups of pickpocketers 1 was after we left Psaras Tavern & did a bit of shopping a young couple in their twenties were attempting to start pickpocketing but we interrupted their plan & they walked away. Then we saw a older guy in his 60's with a woman in a wheelchair & another guy tried to get close to us but my group was fully aware & on alert which deterred them from any more attempts to pickpocket our group. Due to rough winds which delayed us traveling by ferry to Mykonos we arrived at night instead of early morning and lost 1 day in Mykonos. I will say the ferries are not for the weak. You have to pull your bags onto the ferry while cars and even trucks are driving off the ferry. There are crowds of people trying to enter the ferry. Then you leave your bags and go to your seats. The seats and ambience on the ferries are nice but the boarding and disembarking is a bit rough. You can also purchase food on the ferries. Mykonos was wonderful and the hotel was splendid. The walking tour I really enjoyed it the tour guide was nice, informative & showed us all the great places & even gave us recommendations of restaurants. The food was fresh and delicious there only wished we didn't lose a day there. Then another ferry ride to Santorini which was also wonderful the hotel was gorgeous. The walking tour was nice but the tour guide wasn't patience with the older guests who couldn't walk as fast as her as well as people perusing the different shops. The experience was a bit like fast food we were rushed. However with the days there some of my group went on a yacht tour, wine tour etc. some adventured on their own to Fira and Oia for shopping and great eats. We went to Naoussa Restaurant and ate good food and broke plates. We also went to the Greek Wedding Show which was wonderful and funny & we also broke plates. I have to say my trip to Bali and Singapore went amazing. We did upgrade airline (200 more) but didn't have to. The resorts were amazing and our guide was great. We did book lots of adventures outside of the trip but everything we did with the group was wonderful. No glitches or problems. Trust me traveling to the other side of the world was a big deal! The tour managers were very knowledgeable and the entire trip ran very smoothly. A few hotels were 5 star resorts with mineral spas with very good restaurants on premises. Recently went on the Greece vacation. Overall, it was very nice, with a couple of things that were not good I want to mention. If you are flying into Istanbul airport before heading to Athens, if you are on the west coast, you may have a very long layover. That was known. It would have been nice if I had been told how the Istanbul airport/layovers worked. I had done quite a bit of research beforehand, but was still not prepared for it. The airport is HUGE and very little English is spoken. Airport employees were very little help and some were pretty rude. Trying to find the airport hotel took an hour & half to find. Signs there are not obvious. We walked the length of the airport and back until we found it. As I said, employees were very little help. Then the first stop was Athens. Which was cool with all the history, but the hotel we stayed at, I DO NOT recommend. The Athens Ave Hotel was very disappointing. The employees were not very friendly and their restaurant was a joke. UPGRADE - don't stay there. Rooms were average at best. We were also given a handicapped room unnecessarily, as we learned afterwards they had more rooms available, but told us they were full. The tour guides were another issue. We did have a coupe that were very good. And we had some that were borderline rude. One was our tour guide to the Acropolis, and he took off way ahead of us. We could not catch up to him as it was packed, and missed out on the history speech he providing. He really didn't care. If you couldn't keep up, then you were out of luck. The tour guide that picked us up an the Ferry in Santorini had a very uninterested attitude. When we got to the hotel, he only told 1 person about the details of the walking tour that evening. It was different than what we were told initially, so there was a lot of confusion with the group. Honestly, some of them are obviously more interested in getting tips, then making sure you enjoy your vacation. The tour guide that we ended the trip with, told us more about how to get around Athens then the one that initially picked us up at the airport. I understand that the company contracts with tour guides, not directly employs them, but hopefully they are interested in who does good work and who doesn't. In Mykonos, we stayed at Pelican Bay - it was beautiful! We learned that not everyone gets the same type of rooms as they give you rooms in sections, for your group. We got a beautiful room with a little living room. My favorite hotel so far. The employees were also wonderful. Santorini, the Santorini Palace Hotel was nice, but not as nice as the Pelican Bay room. We actually upgraded, as the room we got overlooked a dirt yard and broken down house. The pictures make it look so much different. The room we upgraded to had a view of the pool and the ocean. That was much nicer. The islands were amazing. And if I were to do it again, I would bypass Athens and the tour guides and just go to the islands. read more

I Booked a 10 day trip to Thailand & China thru Affordable Asia and it was absolutely Amazing!! From the airport pickup to the hotel accommodations, everything was perfectly executed. Thailand is often called "The Land of Smiles," and it definitely lives up to the hype. The Thai people are so friendly and the culture is absolutely fascinating. From the beautiful temples, the pristine beaches, and the exotic cuisine, Thailand left me awestruck. It's definitely a vacation hot spot. I stayed at the Centara Grand at CentralWorld in Bangkok which is in walking distance to the Siam Paragon mall. If you like desserts, make sure to check out "After You" dessert cafe located on the lower level of the mall. The hotel was beautiful and the rooms were spacious and clean. The tour guide was knowledgeable, hilariously funny, but very organized and professional. The included tours were great and I went on all the additional tours that weren't included. The breakfast and meals were abundant and delicious. Loved all the fresh, exotic fruits and pastries. You've never had a massage until you've had a THAI massage. Whether you like the ones with happy endings or not (I'm not judging), Thailand has a little bit of everything for everybody. It's a group tour so there were alot of people on our motorcoach. I went in May so it was a pretty big group. Met alot of people from all over the world which was fun. The last leg of my trip was to Beijing, China which was for only 3 days. I got to cross the Great Wall of China off my bucket list as my 3rd, 7th wonder of the world. Everything went off without a hitch. Thanks Affordable World/Asia for an amazing experience. My wife and I used Affordable World to book our Honeymoon in November-December 2019. Overall - we had a fantastic experience. We went to Beijing, Bangkok, and Phuket. First of all, you cannot beat the price as we compared this package to booking flights and hotels ourselves and other tour agencies and it wasn't even close. This was the primary reason we booked through Affordable World and we were able to create a combination we were very excited about. We signed up for some of the optional tours/excursions but definitely not all of them. In general, we wished we had signed up for LESS of these optional tours and booked them ourselves as they were very touristy and with a rather large group each time. Also, the meals on these optional tours were never particularly impressive. Since this was our honeymoon, we did want some more privacy at times and were not fully expecting the large size of the group and the cliche tourist approach of driving around in a large charter bus with a tour guide talking through a microphone. However, what we did not anticipate is that traveling with a group was actually really GREAT at times (even on a honeymoon) because we met some new friends and when we wanted to go out to eat or to bars with a group we had that option. The hotel accommodations were definitely comfortable and better than we expected. Especially the hotel in Phuket, which was fantastic! Again since this was our honeymoon, we wanted a few nights in a fancy retreat in Phuket so we had double-booked living arrangements for a few nights and the tour guides were very accommodating of all of that. Side note - would DEFINITELY recommend separately booking a day at Phuket Elephant Sanctuary and NOT any place that allows riding, bathing, or swimming with elephants. And please don't support anywhere that provides taking photos with otherwise dangerous animals! If you are looking for an experience where you don't have to worry about making any of the plans or figuring out the logistics yourself, I definitely recommend this tour and signing up for all the excursions that interest you. If you are looking to have more of your own experience and want to try to have some authentic encounters, I would say this is still a great and affordable option for covering your basics - just book your day-to-day activities on your own! read more

At first, I was a little (a lot) skeptical of using this company purely because of the low, low price. But after doing a little research, and getting a recommendation from a co- worker, I decided to book with Affordable World, Formerly Affordable Asia. We booked the tour "Thailand Delight" which was an 11 day tour thru Bangkok, River Kwai, Ayutthaya, and Pattaya, then back to Bangkok. The trip was amazing, well planned, had awesome hotels, and was run efficiently and professionally, with our guide Patty. Because of the long flight, you really get into Bangkok on the evening of the second day, and start your tour on the 3rd day. PRO TIP - Confirm with the airline (Air China) as soon as you can as they do not assign seats prior to the day of departure despite what it says on your confirmation. Our hotel in Bangkok was the Centara Grand at Central Plaza and was the best hotel of the trip. 5 star with an awesome breakfast buffet, and room with a see thru window to the bedroom (LOL!). It was so nice that I was in awe that we were staying there and the former Princess of Thailand was even having a VIP formal party at this hotel when we were staying there to show you how nice it was. Highlights in Bangkok included the Temple of the Golden Buddah, Temple of the reclining Buddah, the Grand Palace, Wat Arun, and our favorite, the Floating market of Damnoen Saduak. WE also did an optional Muy Thai show/fight at the Asiaitique Riverfront area. Affordable Asia was so accommodating when we wanted to deviate from the tour or select something different that day. They never tried to push their own optional tours and you always had the freedom to select what you wanted to do. The tour continued to the River Kwai, with an amazing stop at the Elephant Sanctuary (A must do), the Bridge over the River Kwai, and stayed at the Felix River Kwai Hotel. PRO TIP - Bring heavy mosquito repellent for this hotel, you have been warned. On to Pattaya, and the trip turned from temples and peace to Pattaya nightlife and Beaches. This was an interesting contrast with the color of Walking Street and the numerous Pattaya Bars and "clubs" . I even got to spar with a Muay Thai fighter in the ring. We had a few drinks at the clubs and even experienced a ladyboy club. PRO TIP- Don't go with anyone approaching you to come to their club, never go with someone holding a menu of what you "can see", they are all scammers, will put you in a dangerous situation, or at the very least, fleece you from your money. Our trip ended back in Bangkok and we explored for one last day before heading back to California as we marveled at how well put together this trip was, and look forward to using Affordable World again in the future. In summary, this was an extremely well run, planned and organized trip from Affordable World. Hotels were top notch and the tour gave you plenty of flexibility to deviate on optional excursions, or do your own. The guide (ours was Patty) was very knowledgeable, professional, funny and really added to the ambiance of trip. Affordable Asia was a great value for the money and I would not hesitate to go with them in the future. read more

I can't rave enough about our experience!! I'll start off with our itinerary. We were to fly to Beijing from NYC and fly to Bangkok an hour later. Our flight to Beijing was through Air China which isn't the best airline. Our flight was delayed and we missed our connection to Bangkok. Being in China we had no way to communicate with our tour guide in Thailand and were nervous about getting to the hotel. When we finally arrived in Bangkok, there was someone waiting for us and we were so happy! Our tour guide was Kitty and I'm so grateful to her. She was absolutely hilarious! She kept us entertained, engaged, and safe. We couldn't have had a better guide! The hotels were great as well. Very clean and modern. Wifi was available at all the hotels and they all had restaurants that were actually pretty good. If you are staying in the Grand Centara, make sure to eat lunch or dinner at their restaurant. Absolutely delicious!! The restaurants they took us to weren't that great. We found the food we got ourselves was better. The tours were great and I recommend the Elephant excursion all the way! In China we had Vivian as our tour guide and what a sweetheart! She was absolutely a treasure and so knowledgeable! We stayed at the Capitol Hotel in Beijing which was okay but not as great as the Grand Centara. The food at the restaurant was horrible so I recommend going elsewhere for dinner Overall, we had a great time and made some great friends and can't wait to plan our next Afford World vacation! Ways they could improve: Air china is horrible and if we could have the choice to even upgrade to another line would be great. We did the Thailand Delight tour that was purchased through Groupon and included Bangkok, River Kwai, Ayutthaya and Pattaya. This was a great trip with a wonderful tour guide, Alice! My best advice with a group tour is to take a "go with the flow" type approach. Try new things, get to know your travel group and keep an open mind. A few good tips for those planning this trip, - China Eastern Airlines does allow you to choose seats ahead of time. Log on to their website and choose "Seat Selection" under my trip. Use the flight number on your trip details page from Affordable World and don't forget to add your middle name if you have one. - China Eastern Airlines' food may not be your cup of tea. Choose something in the airport for the flight or bring along some snacks. - The optional elephant tour is a must-do for this trip. Don't skip it! I would recommend only picking one other tour. We loaded up on optional tours before hand and it would have been nice to have some relaxing evenings. - The food on the optional tours is traditional Thai - rice, pad thai, fish and vegetables. It is also the same for the included lunches. The farewell dinner mixes it up and has steak, fish or chicken. If you want to change it up, ask your guide for some local recommendations. - 7/11 is a great place to get drinks, snacks and bug spray. There is one on about every corner in Thailand. You also get reward stamps you can turn in and use like cash! - Buy your souvenirs at the Bangkok Weekend market. Anywhere else, including the "floating market" will have less of a selection and higher prices. - Store stops are minimal on this tour, there is one stop at a Gems Factory in Pattaya. It wasn't too bad and provided for some entertaining memories. - Visit the Mahanakhon SkyWalk in Bangkok. It's the tallest building in the city and has a glass floor on the roof top! Certainly makes for great photos. - Hopefully you have a wonderful guide like Alice. She was awesome! And she made sure we were well taken care of during our whole trip. In Pattaya, people would even come up to her and recognize her! She was super and one of the best! read more

In September of last year my best friend went through a bad break up with her boyfriend. They were supposed to take their first overseas trip together in Thailand through Affordable Asia Tours, but she caught him cheating so, enter best friend (me) to the rescue. She was able to reschedule for May of this year and add me to her accommodations. From the minute we landed in Beijing, to the very last minute in our departure from Phuket, Affordable Asia was with us every step of the way. The itinerary was amazing. Great use of time throughout the day. We purchased all of the optional Tours, which I HIGHLY recommend. They are all worth it. From the Buddha Temples, to the floating market, to the elephant sanctuary and the buffet lunches.. you just can't get a better deal with the convenience and amazing experiences that these optional tours have to offer. My Bestie and I felt like we were on the adventure of our lives. "Oh" was the nickname of our Tour Guide, who was really more like that crazy awesome cousin that you can go visit out of state that wants to take you everywhere and show you everything. She really knows how to have a great time and she's hilarious. There wasn't a single minute of this trip with Affordable Asia Tours that I didn't feel safe. We were always led to the greatest spots in Bangkok and Phuket; no tourist traps! The food was spectacular and the views are only comparable to those that you see in Leonardo DiCaprio movies (aka The Beach). I booked an Affordable World Thailand trip through Groupon with 5 friends and it was 100% amazing. Even with such a cheap price, everything was smooth and easy and the accomodations were nice. We took a few days off the tour to go see Krabi to get a bigger perspective of the country and it was magical. Our tour guide was Alice and she was amazing--super bubbly and friendly and she had wonderful English (and she was self-taught). Upon arrival in Bangkok she was easy to get along with and very organized. We never had to question anything. Logistics were easy and she was able and willing to help us with any questions or needs that we had. The hotel in Bangkok (The Pullman G) was definitely super nice. It was smack-dab in the city center and within walking distance (or a $4 tuk tuk ride) to all of the city's hot spots. The pool was really fantastic too! Most of my group went on the elephant sanctuary optional tour, while me and one other decided to venture around the city. The reason being that the double decker bus was a bit more like a boat--it swayed constantly. I didn't think that I could sit on it for a 3 hour ride there and back (with traffic, it would be about 7.5 hours). I'd have to take a dramamine if I were to do so. I'm not sure if all the buses around Thailand drive like that, but I asked the other tour group and they said that their bus was fine. So, just take heed--bring some motion sickness medication. During our day off not going to the sanctuary, we went to the glass floor of the tallest building in the city (Bangkok's King Power Mahanakhon) which was AMAZING. We also ventured over to the Ancient City, which was about a 30-40 minute cab ride away from the hotel. Both of which were definitely worth seeing. We flew to Phuket and it was a nice change of scenery. The hotel was really nice, but I wish that it were closer to the city. It was about a 45-60 minute cab ride into the area where you'd want to be. Maybe that's because we were on the beach front and the city isn't? I'm not 100% sure why they chose the Holiday Inn, but my suggestion to Affordable World would be to find a hotel that is closer to where things are happening. That's when we decided to book two nights on Krabi and then come back for the final night in Phuket. And let me tell you--PLEASE GO VISIT RAILAY BEACH AND PHI PHI. It is 100000% worth it and even more breathtaking than Phuket (or as far as we saw). The food all over Thailand is EPIC. All the curries--you MUST try them all. The red is my favorite. Don't miss out on walking all over Bangkok and hitting up all the hotspots. I'd 100% recommend this trip, this company, and the tour guide to any of my friends. Have fun--and Phuket! read more

I went to Bangkok, Krabi and Phuket its one of my most memorable experience everything was perfect, from arrival to departure. we had the best tour guides they knew every thing about Thailand and the cities keeping us updated on where we going and answering every question. I have severe food allergies and most of my trips i get sick from having an allergic reaction. This trip my tour guide read my labels due the the language barrier telling me what was safe to consume and what was not updating every single hotel going above and beyond to make sure nothing would go wrong. This was my first guided tour and I couldn't be happier. My wife and I traveled to Thailand (Bangkok-Phuket) our tour guide, Ken, was hands down; the best. He was very understanding, funny, easy going and really helpful. Ken made out trip memorable, he had recommendations for everything, wether it be a small place to get authentic Thai food to a place where to get a tattoo. I give them a 5 stars because everything on this trip was fabulous from the time we were picked up and brought back to the airport by Alice one of the tour guides. All the hotels were 5 starts (NICE AND CLEAN)that is a big plus. Kitty and Alice did a great job as tour guides. They took care of us like if we were royalty. These 2 ladies did their best for us to have a great time in their navite country. They were knowledgeable about the history and culture of Thailand, and did not let any one of our questions go unanswered. They bought Thai snacks to share with us on the bus (I thought that was a nice touch) SMILE. They advised us where to go, and what to be awared off when we wanted to go out at night. The tour was carefully planned, we ate local foods, mingle with Thailan people, visited temples, markets, elephant sanctuary, Gem Factory, Coral Island, and other places in 9 days. My husband and I had a great time, and we recommend this trip to everyone even if you are traveling by yourself. Wow what an amazing experience, Alice and Sharkey are tour guides were the Chery to our experience, they were so detailed oriented and knowledgeable, respectful, patient, humble, and courteous they were providing us with all sources of information and knowledge. Our 3 hotels were 5 stars and the location was on point from Bangkok mall access, supermarket, and Krabi next to a strip to Phuket water from beach access. Our Japan trip was amazing! The country is so beautiful as well as their people. We didn't run into any major issues, however, there are a few things I would like to mention. We arrived in Tokyo on 10/2/24 at 1pm, we were very excited to finally start our vacation, we were met with an airport and Affordable World rep. that informed us the bus would be picking us up at 4pm. We had 3 hours to kill in the airport or pay our own way to the hotel, which was approx. $200USD with Uber/taxi. We opted to wait in the airport, we didn't arrive to our hotel until approximately 7:00pm that evening. Had we known there was going to be such a long wait, we would have made arrangements from home to make our way to the hotel on our own. We met our guide Yoshi on Friday 10/4/24, a very kind man. He was always very joyous and made himself readily available to us. Our group was small (12 people in the beginning) so it was easy to engage with him, his English was a bit rusty, when we asked him questions about the country, he didn't always have an answer. I wish he was more knowledgeable with the areas where our hotels were situated, so we knew where to go for dinner or shopping. The excursions were timely, however, on occasion we felt rushed on the tours due to time constraints. Maybe we should have an option to cancel an excursion if we are running late due to traffic, which we did encounter more than once. Unfortunately, the last day in Kyoto we really had to rush through the castle and Temple visits. Also, the 5-course meal in Tokyo, was odd. We received a very high bill at the end even though we had already paid for that dinner excursion. Yoshi intervened once we all complained, because we were told only the drinks were not included. Some of our travel companions had bills for over $200 dollars! I ordered 2 ginger ales, and my bill was over $50. Thankfully that whole scenario was resolved, but it left us with a weird feeling about the communication between Affordable World and the venue. Overall, we had a fantastic time and most likely will use Affordable World again, this is our second time with them. We just wish the excursions were flexible and we could understand our guide better. Thank you Affordable World! read more

I was trying to decide where to take my daughter on summer vacation and so I started doing my research. I came across this deal on Groupon: an all inclusive tour to two countries in Asia for an unbelievable price [through Affordable Asia]??! What? I thought there had to be a catch, but I grabbed the deal (and bought travel insurance) just in case. I am so glad I went for it!! We just came back from our well-organized, well-planned, fun-filled, action/adventure-packed vacation!! From beginning to end, the tours were fantastic, and our tour guides, "Panda" in Thailand and "Leo" in China, were equally as fantastic. Went on their 8 nights + 2 travel days Greece tour recently. I was nervous at first since it's not only my first solo trip and also booking the tour solely via their website not at a travel agency office. Not sure what to expect when and where to meet up the group or guide. But I was ready for the adventure. It turned out to be very organized, professional guides, great companies, nice accommodation, very decent transportations! Best of all flexible group activities and "ME" time. I really enjoyed the trip and have been sharing my experience and recommending this company. The only downside is I will say, DO NOT JOIN BY YOURSELF ALONE. I was by myself so I understand I had to pay over $100 extra each day as I'm taking the room by myself. But I didn't expect to get consistently smaller accommodations than those in my group who traveled in pairs. Since I did pay extra for the room, it's only fair to get same accommodation. Overall, I like the trip a lot and will use them again, just not booking alone. read more

This trip was hands down the most amazing trip ever Me and my Fiancé just got back yesterday from the thailand 11 day 8 night from Bangkok-Phuket Off the bat we were super nervous for the pick up at the airport but once we landed they were already waiting for us:)))) Bangkok's hotel was my favorite! (Pullman G) They were super clean and breakfast was amazing!!! The tours were amazing we did every singe one! Don't skip out on the elephant experience hands down favorite moment . Our tour guide in Bangkok was OH and she was amazing!!! If you guys get her for a tour you guys are in for a delight she's so help full and sweet she made the experience amazing!! Phuket was also gorgeous the hotel was okay (Novotel Phuket hotel) we upgrade to an ocean villa and I'm glad we did because the other room wasn't to my likings. The only complains I do have about this hotel was the cleanliness the rooms weren't cleaned to my likings the hall to the regular rooms were super dirty but besides that the staff was always so friendly and welcoming and that made our stay worth it not to mention their amazing food and ocean view! The our tour guide at Phuket was nice , we were more on our own but still had a great time . We will definitely be taking more trips with affordable world! read more

Went on a 10 day trip to Greece: Athens, Mikonos and Santorini and it was beautiful. Maria our tour guide was amazing. She was very patient, kind, full of knowledge, and would go above and beyond. The hotel Titania in Athens was very nice from the entrance to the lobby. Wasn't too impressed with the rooms. The nice thing was their restaurant on the rooftop you could see the Acropolis from there. The staff were super. The breakfast was good. Hotel in Mikonos: San Antonio summer land I liked my room very nice. I enjoyed that they had a shuttle every hour to take you to the town of Mikonos. Their breakfast was ok not the best and not impressed. The staff were super nice. Hotel in Santorini El Greco. Rooms and lobby and location beautiful. Walking distance to the town of Fira. Staff really nice. Breakfast was goods their lunch and dinner food was amazing. Everything was super organized. I would define my use Affordable World again and especially if Maria is the guide. She made sure she counted everyone she was like the mama of everyone. read more

Went to Thailand and China for our honeymoon! LOVED the experience!! This is a tour group, so you do travel and meet up with other people, but of course have your alone time and own hotel room. The guides were INCREDIBLE!! I really liked our guide Kathy in China, and wish affordable world will really give her some praise for her work! The guides hold your hand through all the check ins, yet they send you off with perfect amount of time to do things on your own! We WILL use this company again as well as refer them to all we know traveling! We did all the upgrades, and most of the excursions on our 14 days, and paid $3000 a person. VERY reasonable!! With out upgrades, you are still staying in 5 star hotels. read more

Best vacation I have done thus far! We did the 11 days 8 nights Thailand; Bangkok & Phuket. Jan/Feb. I have never booked a guided tour vacation, nor have I flown to Asia...so there were a lot of firsts and skepticism for this trip! But I must say everything exceeding my expectations and I would never hesitate to do it again. Our tour guide was "OH" and she was amazing!!! She went well beyond her job description to make us feel welcomed, secured, and like we got our money's worth. She answered any and every question and always had suggestions on anything we wanted to do. The temples were breathtaking, the food was delicious, the hotels were so nice, and not having to worry about planning anything was the best part!. Like another reviewer mentioned, I did not care much for the "gem show", felt like it was a waste of time, but other than that everything else was great!. The elephant sanctuary and the Phi Phi islands are a must. I highly recommend this company and wished they had more destinations because I would use them every single time. read more

BEST TRIP! This is the best way to spend my 30th bday I loved it! Everything was very organized and tour guides very helpful. Some recommendations I'd give are booking your tours online when you book and for Mykonos don't do the Deli one. I didn't do it and glad because had more time to enjoy the island. Also rent an ATV much cheaper cost than taking taxis everywhere. For Santorini SUNSET TOUR IS A MUST so much fun! But you can skip on the landmark and enjoy the island instead. My husband and I booked the 10 day tour of Greece and we were NOT disappointed! We were hesitant about booking this through Living Social, but we are so glad that we did! Every step of the trip was organized and taken care of by the agency. They answered any questions I had prior to booking and afterwards (and I had a lot)! HOTELS - The hotels were great - Athens Avenue in Athens, San Antonio Summerlans in Mykonos and El Greco in Santorini. Only complaint was San Antonio was not quite as clean as I would have liked and the manager (didn't get her name) was terrible! She actually threatened to call the police on a friend on the tour if he continued telling other guests about a problem he experienced in his room. We would not stay again. El Greco was the best - beautiful resort with a view of the Agean Sea. The room was spacious and modern and it was a quick walk to Fira. TOURS/EXCURSIONS - The tours that were included were fun and informative. We did two of the optional excursions and were so glad that we did! Our tour guides we're fantastic and worked with us on any last minute changes we wanted to make (especially Mary!!) AIR- We were able to get a non-stop flights to Greece from New Jersey on Emirates. Great flight! We met amazing people that we will probably travel with in the future. We loved Affordable World and will definitely book again! read more

For the first time this year I used an agency to book my vacation, and honestly, I feel very lucky and impressed with my first choise. Affordable World (back then it was Affordable Asia) came up on Groupon. Because the dates offered weren't gonna work for me, I just ended up booking directly through their site. It was probably $200 more (which wasn't bad). I booked the Thailand Delight 10 Days 8 Nights Tour and it was awesome! Our tour guide Audi was great. He stayed with us throughout most of the trip, and was always willing to answer questions and gave us a good amount of info as we passed certain areas. He would even buy us local snacks to try along the way. They have adttionals excursions that one can purchase pretty much every night you're there so you can "make the most of your trip" but I only purchased 1 excursion, which was the Elephant Sancturary and it was an amazing experience. We weren't pressured to go places we didn't want to go, or needed to pay extra for. All the hotels we stayed in included breakfast, and they provided lunch almost the entire duration of the trip, if they didn't, they would take us to a spot with lots of restuarants and told us to come back to the bus at a certain time. I am super excited to book with them again especially if they were to open up their tours to places in Latin America. Hope this helps, and hope you enjoy your vacation as much as I did! read more
