Amazing trip to Thailand! My 2nd time using this group and I was skeptical going to Thailand but it was amazing. Their tour guide Kitty was extra extraordinary and knew everything we needed the whole trip! Hotels, transfers, tours all great! I would opt to do less time in Bangkok and more beach and sun next time. Thailand a must see with this group!

Trip to THAILAND Beautiful Trip and Memories created in this amazing country. We had the BEST TOUR GUIDES, everything was completely planned out from the moment we landed at the airport! They took us to see a little bit of everything and many places that are Gems in the World. The hotels we stayed in were 5 stars, clean, with the most professional staff, the food provided on each tour, the breakfast on the hotels and the recommended places to visit to eat were 10/10. The PEOPLE we were given the opportunity to meet were BEAUTIFUL, welcoming and genuine souls that had touch our lifes for the better! I will 100% recommend this trip, one of the Best experiences of our lives.

I have used Affordable world for 3 trips now ( China, Thailand-Hong Kong, and last week Greece.) I like that your guide takes you to all the landmarks you want to see and then gives you free time each day to explore on your own. All at a good price. I have recommended it to all my friends and will take their new Istanbul and Malta trip the year after next. Next year we are going to South Africa.

I Booked a 10 day trip to Thailand & China thru Affordable Asia and it was absolutely Amazing!! From the airport pickup to the hotel accommodations, everything was perfectly executed. Thailand is often called "The Land of Smiles," and it definitely lives up to the hype. The Thai people are so friendly and the culture is absolutely fascinating. From the beautiful temples, the pristine beaches, and the exotic cuisine, Thailand left me awestruck. It's definitely a vacation hot spot. I stayed at the Centara Grand at CentralWorld in Bangkok which is in walking distance to the Siam Paragon mall. If you like desserts, make sure to check out "After You" dessert cafe located on the lower level of the mall. The hotel was beautiful and the rooms were spacious and clean. The tour guide was knowledgeable, hilariously funny, but very organized and professional. The included tours were great and I went on all the additional tours that weren't included. The breakfast and meals were abundant and delicious. Loved all the fresh, exotic fruits and pastries. You've never had a massage until you've had a THAI massage. Whether you like the ones with happy endings or not (I'm not judging), Thailand has a little bit of everything for everybody. It's a group tour so there were alot of people on our motorcoach. I went in May so it was a pretty big group. Met alot of people from all over the world which was fun. The last leg of my trip was to Beijing, China which was for only 3 days. I got to cross the Great Wall of China off my bucket list as my 3rd, 7th wonder of the world. Everything went off without a hitch. Thanks Affordable World/Asia for an amazing experience. Can't wait to book my next vacation!!!

My wife and I used Affordable World to book our Honeymoon in November-December 2019. Overall - we had a fantastic experience. We went to Beijing, Bangkok, and Phuket. First of all, you cannot beat the price as we compared this package to booking flights and hotels ourselves and other tour agencies and it wasn't even close. This was the primary reason we booked through Affordable World and we were able to create a combination we were very excited about. We signed up for some of the optional tours/excursions but definitely not all of them. In general, we wished we had signed up for LESS of these optional tours and booked them ourselves as they were very touristy and with a rather large group each time. Also, the meals on these optional tours were never particularly impressive. Since this was our honeymoon, we did want some more privacy at times and were not fully expecting the large size of the group and the cliche tourist approach of driving around in a large charter bus with a tour guide talking through a microphone. However, what we did not anticipate is that traveling with a group was actually really GREAT at times (even on a honeymoon) because we met some new friends and when we wanted to go out to eat or to bars with a group we had that option. The hotel accommodations were definitely comfortable and better than we expected. Especially the hotel in Phuket, which was fantastic! Again since this was our honeymoon, we wanted a few nights in a fancy retreat in Phuket so we had double-booked living arrangements for a few nights and the tour guides were very accommodating of all of that. Side note - would DEFINITELY recommend separately booking a day at Phuket Elephant Sanctuary and NOT any place that allows riding, bathing, or swimming with elephants. And please don't support anywhere that provides taking photos with otherwise dangerous animals! If you are looking for an experience where you don't have to worry about making any of the plans or figuring out the logistics yourself, I definitely recommend this tour and signing up for all the excursions that interest you. If you are looking to have more of your own experience and want to try to have some authentic encounters, I would say this is still a great and affordable option for covering your basics - just book your day-to-day activities on your own!

We booked the Thailand Escape: Bangkok, Krabi & Phuket trip which was 10 day 8 night long. We had an amazing trip and are very pleased with Affordable World. We will definitely use them again for more trips.

We had a blast on our trip!!! Definitely recommend to all our family and friends! Tour guide are all in professional manners and also they're fun to be with in the bus or even in our walk tour, very accommodating and very understanding especially to Mr. Manos he is the tour guide who picked us up from Athens airport going to our Hotel, He made sure that all of us are safe and comfortable. He even helped me to get back my lost stuff from Turkish airline. Hopefully all the location and tours have f Affordable world will be the same as we experienced to this unforgettable Trip!

I can't rave enough about our experience!! I'll start off with our itinerary. We were to fly to Beijing from NYC and fly to Bangkok an hour later. Our flight to Beijing was through Air China which isn't the best airline. Our flight was delayed and we missed our connection to Bangkok. Being in China we had no way to communicate with our tour guide in Thailand and were nervous about getting to the hotel. When we finally arrived in Bangkok, there was someone waiting for us and we were so happy! Our tour guide was Kitty and I'm so grateful to her. She was absolutely hilarious! She kept us entertained, engaged, and safe. We couldn't have had a better guide! The hotels were great as well. Very clean and modern. Wifi was available at all the hotels and they all had restaurants that were actually pretty good. If you are staying in the Grand Centara, make sure to eat lunch or dinner at their restaurant. Absolutely delicious!! The restaurants they took us to weren't that great. We found the food we got ourselves was better. The tours were great and I recommend the Elephant excursion all the way! In China we had Vivian as our tour guide and what a sweetheart! She was absolutely a treasure and so knowledgeable! We stayed at the Capitol Hotel in Beijing which was okay but not as great as the Grand Centara. The food at the restaurant was horrible so I recommend going elsewhere for dinner Overall, we had a great time and made some great friends and can't wait to plan our next Afford World vacation! Ways they could improve: Air china is horrible and if we could have the choice to even upgrade to another line would be great. The restaurants that we were brought for lunch could have been better as well

We did the Thailand Delight tour that was purchased through Groupon and included Bangkok, River Kwai, Ayutthaya and Pattaya. This was a great trip with a wonderful tour guide, Alice! My best advice with a group tour is to take a "go with the flow" type approach. Try new things, get to know your travel group and keep an open mind. A few good tips for those planning this trip, - China Eastern Airlines does allow you to choose seats ahead of time. Log on to their website and choose "Seat Selection" under my trip. Use the flight number on your trip details page from Affordable World and don't forget to add your middle name if you have one. - China Eastern Airlines' food may not be your cup of tea. Choose something in the airport for the flight or bring along some snacks. - The optional elephant tour is a must-do for this trip. Don't skip it! I would recommend only picking one other tour. We loaded up on optional tours before hand and it would have been nice to have some relaxing evenings. - The food on the optional tours is traditional Thai - rice, pad thai, fish and vegetables. It is also the same for the included lunches. The farewell dinner mixes it up and has steak, fish or chicken. If you want to change it up, ask your guide for some local recommendations. - 7/11 is a great place to get drinks, snacks and bug spray. There is one on about every corner in Thailand. You also get reward stamps you can turn in and use like cash! - Buy your souvenirs at the Bangkok Weekend market. Anywhere else, including the "floating market" will have less of a selection and higher prices. - Store stops are minimal on this tour, there is one stop at a Gems Factory in Pattaya. It wasn't too bad and provided for some entertaining memories. - Visit the Mahanakhon SkyWalk in Bangkok. It's the tallest building in the city and has a glass floor on the roof top! Certainly makes for great photos. - Hopefully you have a wonderful guide like Alice. She was awesome! And she made sure we were well taken care of during our whole trip. In Pattaya, people would even come up to her and recognize her! She was super and one of the best!

My Fiance and I LOVED our trip to Japan. It was our first time, and this tour made it super easy. Throughout the trip, we had the most wonderful guide (Jojo). All five stars are from her and our driver. She was quirky, funny, educational, and so interesting! Our driver was friendly, safe, always on time, and even treated us to water and candy! I would take this trip again 6 times if I could have them both! The trip takes you to a ton of places, but I didnt feel rushed or exhausted at all. The hotels were better than expected, and we always had plenty of time to do things we wanted.

In September of last year my best friend went through a bad break up with her boyfriend. They were supposed to take their first overseas trip together in Thailand through Affordable Asia Tours, but she caught him cheating so, enter best friend (me) to the rescue. She was able to reschedule for May of this year and add me to her accommodations. Don't get me wrong, I would never wish for anyone to experience a break up like my best friend did but I couldn't be more grateful that she chose me to take his place on this trip. Affordable Asia Tours is the first and only travel/tour agency that I've used since this was my first trip to Asia, so I don't have anything to compare it too but let me tell you, they set the bar REALLY high for other travel/tour agencies. From the minute we landed in Beijing, to the very last minute in our departure from Phuket, Affordable Asia was with us every step of the way. The itinerary was amazing. Great use of time throughout the day. We purchased all of the optional Tours, which I HIGHLY recommend. They are all worth it. From the Buddha Temples, to the floating market, to the elephant sanctuary and the buffet lunches.. you just can't get a better deal with the convenience and amazing experiences that these optional tours have to offer. My Bestie and I felt like we were on the adventure of our lives. "Oh" was the nickname of our Tour Guide, who was really more like that crazy awesome cousin that you can go visit out of state that wants to take you everywhere and show you everything. She really knows how to have a great time and she's hilarious. There wasn't a single minute of this trip with Affordable Asia Tours that I didn't feel safe. We were always led to the greatest spots in Bangkok and Phuket; no tourist traps! The food was spectacular and the views are only comparable to those that you see in Leonardo DiCaprio movies (aka The Beach). A great big hug and a very special thanks to Affordable Asia Tours for giving my best friend and I one of the greatest and most memorable adventures of our lifetime.

I took your tour to Japan April 2019. My friend is interested to get this Japan tour . I mentioned to her that I got it from affordable world.com. Can they see the itinerary where to stops, and how much it cost for both air and land?.

Hi Venny C, Please find the link below to view our Japan tours and click on each package to view…

Can we upgrade our flights? We chose EVA airlines.

Hi Hiker, Yes, we offer an upgrade to Premium Economy and Business class with Eva Air. Flight…

Can you pay for the package with credit card? Went to the Westminister location, was told i can only pay with cash or cashier check.

Dear Pam, Please note, we do not have a Westminster location. Based on your inquiry, we kindly…

Does anyone know for the China/Thailand trip if you require a power converter to charge your phone in hotels and stuff. Or is it the same AC outlet for the United States?

Just came back from Beijing & Thailand and I used my converter for most hotels with the exception of two in Thailand. My converter is pretty inexpensive so don't worry about getting a flashy expensive one! Have fun! Hopefully Kitty is your tour…

I want to book a tour but for 3 ppl. How will that affect the pricing per person? I want to use groupon

Hi Og, you'll have to pay the extra money for a single-occupancy price. Each trip has different pricing, so I'd call the third party (Affordable World) and ask. But I'm sure in the fine print it says the extra charge—since all the prices are per…

Hello, I will be booking with AW soon and I will be using my BOA card and they currently have a 3% cash back promotion which I want to take advantage of. However, I need to select the right listing category for AW. Online Shopping or Travel?

Hi Yesenia, I'm not sure of your question, what exactly are you asking . I don't know what kind of…

Do you have to switch your money out to their currency of choice or could you use a travel credit card I'm thinking about doing a trip to Thailand and want to make sure I have enough extra cash for buying food outside of the package?

Most of Thailand is cash only—I brought about $400 USD in cash (and exchanged it to Thai Baht). I used my card wherever I was able to do so—as well as ATMs. I used a travel card so the ATM fees and any foreign transaction fees were reimbursed.…

Do they use hotels that offer laundry service? I was hoping to pack light and wash clothes while traveling

Yes all are 4 star hotels. Great spas and all services. Was there in Nov. excellent your company

I'm doing the 9 day Japan tour, does anyone know like the start/end times for tours? I.E. Day 4 half day Tokyo start/end times? That way I can plan free time activities.

Anyone whose done the Japan tour do the Traditional Japanese Kaiseki dinner? According to the itinerary I think this will be in Tokyo. How was it? My sister is a vegetarian,…

It is an artful tradition of dining with every food item and course prepared with symbolism and a tea ceremony is included. The ambiance was very peaceful, just like eating in a traditional home in Japan with private dining rooms and walking through…

I'm interested in the Thailand Beijing 11 day tour with airfare and I'm traveling with one other person. Did anyone have trouble when booking seats together on the flights?

No if you fly through Air China, you just have to check-in as soon as you are allowed to check-in. I believe it's 36 hrs before departure. When you check-in, you also choose seats.

For the Thailand package's flight, is the first luggage free or is there a charge? If so, would my total luggage allowance be 1 carry-on and 1 luggage around 50lbs?

We flew with Air China and first checked luggage was included (50lbs) and also a carryon. Also, if it happens to be with Air China, I suggest upgrading to premium economy. The seats had more legroom and made the long flight bearable.

For the trip to Thailand (Bangkok to Phuket) what optional excursions are worth while and which ones are worth avoiding? Can they be booked while on tour, or only ahead of time? If they can be booked on tour, are they the same price?

I wondered the same thing and read through all the reviews for Affordable World to get my answer. Almost everyone said to buy all the excursions. I prebooked all and can honestly say that you can bypass the river dinner cruise. You'd be too…

How does tipping go? I read a lot of reviews that for the China trip the tour guides demand the suggested $10 tip per person per day and for each guide in that day.

No, tipping is not required but I highly suggest it as both the driver and tour guide we had went above and beyond to make sure we had a great trip. We ended up tipping the driver at the end of every day about $20 for two people and then one big tip…

I'm having trouble making a payment on my trip on the website how do you do that?

Hi Tim, Would you mind calling us toll-free at 1-888-737-2742 so that we can look into this…

Is affordable world and affordable asia the same company?

Not sure if this will be helpful or not, but we booked a trip to Thailand through Affordable World - but once we got to Thailand, our tours were listed under Affordable Asia.

Hello. Does anyone know if I need a Visa for the Beijing, Bangkok & Phuket 13 Days 11 Nights trip?

No you don't. As long as you're in Beijing less than 72 hours, you don't need a visa but you will need to apply for a 72 hour temporary stay once you get to Beijing and you can do that at the Beijing airport. Hope that helps.

I'm going on the Thailand/Beijing tour. Which excursions would you suggest? I'm taking the southern Thailand and Beijing trip. It is 11days.

great wall, elephant tour with bamboo raft, sign up for a thai cooking class which is unbelievable, phi phi islands is awesome and so is james bond island boat tour, boat tour with thai dinner is real good also, make sure you visit khao san road

A Trip to Greece through Affordable World with Groupon, would you recommend? Had anyone taken this trip?

I just got back from the 8 day trip to Athens and Santorini. I definitely recommend it. The Greece team is amazing. Do the hotel upgrades, the dinner and the catamaran tours. I promise you they are worth it! Petros and Maria in Athens are amazing…

This question is for people who took the japan tour. Would you recommend the optional lunch and dinner for $99 (even for kids) and the fish market tour for $40 per person.?

No, do not do the kaiseki dinner for $95+. Not worth it. Did not offer traditional sit down Japanese dinner and the food was mediocre. Few courses were very small portions of smoked fish that were not good quality. Sashimi was nothing special.…

Super knowledgeable driver / tour guide (Zack) talks you through the various backlot sets and sound stages with video presentations on the monitors mounted in the cart. There are several stops where you can get off to experience and hear details about shows and movies that used these specific sets. Very interesting seeing the building facades and landscaped grounds and the history of the studio. Our tour included a snack / continental breakfast and a lunch at the Friends Central Perk cafe restaurant. Both offered a decent selection of food and drink items. In the morning they served juices, coffee, tea, water, chips, cookies, danish to munch on before the tour started. Caveat is you only have 15 minutes to relax and enjoy before leaving for the tour. Lunch break happened at the end of our two hour guided tour. The tour package lunch included a hot or cold entree, side dish and drink. We were surprised at the selection and quality of the food. Various hot and cold sandwiches, salads, chips and a full selection of hot or cold, large or small coffee drinks. Even some blended coffee drinks. We ordered the hot Cuban sandwich, Cobb salad and a large iced coffee latte drink. The Cuban was hot but a little bit soggy but still tasty. Cobb salad super fresh and healthy. Coffee drink was solid with creamy topping. After lunch you begin the self guided portion of the tour which is inside stage 48? Where the restaurant was located. Film technology and costumes on display with various interactive display to participate. Harry Potter, Batman, Superman and other blockbuster movies artwork, costumes and videos on display. So much to discover. Easily spent 2 hours in there. Surprisingly they told us we also had entry into the Superman Experience. We did not know this was part of the tour. It is not mentioned in the marketing online. Unfortunately we ran out of time and had to skip this. Too bad as I think it is super popular. Regardless the tour was unexpectedly very entertaining and enjoyable. Weather was great not too hot. Highly recommended for folks looking for a break from the theme parks. Totally different in a good way from Universal Studio tour.

He didn't rush us as we looked at at the New York backlot (Brooklyn, Lower East Side, etc), soundstages, the set of a popular TV show (I won't say which one!), the bathroom where a lot of fights inside of bathrooms are shot, and the outside of the sound stages where Citizen Kane was shot, Rear Window (and scenes from Vertigo) were shot, scenes from the Godfather were shot and many other great and famous films. I also saw where William Holden's character fell in love with a fellow screenwriter in the movie Sunset Boulevard. We also saw some amazing props from the Transformers, Terminator, and Star Trek movies. For fans of The Ten Commandments with Charlton Heston, we saw where the Red Sea parting scene was shot. My wife and I also got to hold a real Oscar for the 1953 movie War of the Worlds. And I sat on the Forrest Gump bench. Only seven people maximum can go on any one tour -- on a small cart --- so the feeling is personal (vs. being on a bus). My wife and I also went on the Warner Bros and Universal Studios tours. We thought this was the best studio tour. The tour itself was a little over 2 hours. (For parking, we found free parking on a side street across from the studio. Otherwise, we would have paid $20 to park in the studio's lot.)

We were taken to see inside an empty stage as well as inside a stage where props were being built. Our guide showed us movie clips indicating places where the scene or scenes were shot. My favorite was the big blue parking lot where the scene of the famous water separating in The Ten Commandments. The movie was done in the 50's and CGI was still a far fetched idea. Our tour guide showed a lot of enthusiasm and also quite entertaining. The tour lasted about two and a half hours which was well worth it. At the beginning before the tour, we were given ample time to watch segments of past movies which was enjoyable.

I knew I had to book the bus at least 6 months in advance to make sure I got a great price and that the bus was available. The bus tour was one of our family activities for my 3-day family reunion in late July, consisting of 200 people. About 60 went on the bus tour. My family enjoyed the tour and had phrases of how great Steven and his team were. To top the great service we got, Steven even drove back to hotel that my family was staying in to bring back an iPad which one of my aunts left behind. Now that is beyond customer service! Steven, I thank you for taking great care of my family! I will definitely book again.

My mom wanted to travel through South America, down to Argentina and then hop on a cruise to Antarctica. I've always seen deals for cruises to Antarctica from Argentina. So I had her call Albert for some advice on this type of journey. To my surprise, my mom had a terrible phone conversation with Albert. Not only was Albert rude to her, he criticized her for supposedly confusing him with her questions. The most shocking part was when he questioned why she would travel to Antarctica and that it was super hot! Um, really? I have no idea why he would think Antarctica is hot. Last I checked, it's -24 degrees Fahrenheit down there! And this was just the tip of the iceberg (pun intended). He then proceeded to tell her that he was really busy and that she was wasting his time. Told her to just go to his office instead. I understand if she's not a customer and just a random caller with questions. However, she was a referral from a customer. Even if she was just a random caller, why be rude to the person? The whole "Antarctica is super hot" comment was just perplexing. A travel agent made this comment...a travel agent. And to make her feel stupid for asking about cruises to Antarctica was unnecessary considering these cruises DO exist. The poor treatment of a referral from a regular customer was very disappointing. Needless to say, I'll be searching for a new travel agency.
