From the easy quote via phone to the home visit (for estimate) to the awesome first cleaning (note that the initial cleaning will take longer than regular biweekly cleanings), I'm grateful to have these ladies on my team! They're thorough and meticulous, and treat your house with respect and care. Their method is go from "top to bottom" and though they literally start upstairs, they really mean from, say, dusting the top of the blinds to the floor. They use green products (though they will use Clorox in the bathrooms, for example, if you request that) and the right products for the respective surfaces (e.g., wood floors, quartz counters, leather sets, etc.). It was wonderful to step into an immaculate house, where it looked and smelled clean, and Jackee has been so responsive from the beginning -- she even texted me after they were done and asked if I had anything to critique. Hint: there was nothing. (They even helped give my giant package to the UPS delivery person who came by during the time they were cleaning... talk about wow!) I am looking forward to many future Mondays of an exceptionally clean home; working with them is one of the best decisions we've made in a while. I'd highly recommend them!

Michael (owner) texted me at 8PM his time to set up a last minute deep clean of a rental property we have within the same week. It had been several years since anyone had properly cleaned it. It looked like a different home. We cannot describe how hard they worked (on the hottest day of the year so far, with no A/C). Not only did they help us with that in June, but at our other rental property in July they did an amazing job helping us get ready for new tenants. Michael was just as easy to work with (and again, was very available even with one week notice) and Mary was there leading the charge on the deep clean. If hyper-local, family owned, good people, and dependable is what you are looking for--then you do not need to look anywhere else. On the day the new roof was installed we arrived home from work after dark to a dumpster filled with old roofing material and on the top of the pile was quite a few empty beer cans and beer boxes, I knew this was a bad sign so I took photos of this. 3 months later the entire roof leaked because they forgot to put the water and ice barrier down. They also did not install the ridge vent (we questioned this via email and the owners response was he couldn't because of the pitch of the roof which is rediculous, you can put a ridge vent on any roof!) Due to the lack of ventilation it caused black mold in the entire attic. They came to fix it by installing the water/ice barrier material that they forgot to put on in march of 2019 but still did not install a ridge vent which is needed to vent air into the attic. I repeatedly voiced my concerns to the owner about the mold and he emailed me that it wasn't mold, just algae and it would dry up. Its now 14 months later (and we now have become very educated on roof ventilation) after several emails back and fourth to the owner and a final phone call to him which he became extremely belligerent, told me it's not his fault and told me to F off and hung up on me. We now have hired a very expensive mold abatement company and also had to pay a new professional roofing contractor to install a ridge vent which was in my contract with JS&R Roofing. Such a nightmare!!!

There was a secondary job of replacing a small outdoor shower enclosure. The discussion about the door was thorough with replacement - something which normally comes in around $1000 - $1500 (door & labor) - suggested as the best choice. For the shower, I was given some suggestions for a larger, nicer enclosure. I did agree to get an estimate for that as long as I also got one for a simple replacement of the smaller walls and the shower head. That meeting left me feeling pretty confident in this company. After a couple of weeks I had to call to see if an estimate would be coming soon. They apologized for the delay and sent me the estimate later that day. $9000 for an amazing sounding, spa-like outdoor shower. No estimate for a straightforward replacement however And more importantly, no door estimate. When the mistake was brought to their attention, they did apologize. Then sent me the same estimate again. Last night I received a new email - not an estimate for the door but an invoice for it. No estimate or description of what would be done. Just a bill of almost $4000 for a door and work which didn't actually exist yet. Something had been vastly confused in the shower, but I'm puzzled that after that I'd still receive a stunning bill for a non-existent door One which I imagine would be incredibly epic on the little beach cottage it would end up on.
