Dr. Colleen and her staff went above and beyond to support me during my dental visit! I initially went in for a dental cleaning, but I expressed lingering discomfort in my left molars. After examination and dental cleaning, Dr. Colleen asked me a few questions to narrow down the root of the issue. The discomfort came from a previous improperly shaped filling on the side of my teeth that was done in a different dental clinic. Dr. Colleen walked me through the process to reshape the filling and answered my questions. Although there wasn't enough time to do the procedure during this visit, she scheduled me for a same-day visit in the afternoon. Later that afternoon, I went in, and Dr. Colleen provided high quality of care to ensure the procedure went smoothly. My target area was numbed, and she walked me through the procedure. Overall, I felt comfortable throughout the procedure. Since then, I no longer feel discomfort there. Dr. Colleen was outstanding and truly cares for her patients. During the initial examination, she even took up some of her lunch time to ensure I had all my questions answered and that I got the care I needed. What's nice about this office is that you can find same day appointments in case you need to be seen urgently. The office has doctors who speak Cantonese and Mandarin and English. My parents usually prefer a provider who they can speak directly to and ask questions without needing me or my sisters to come translate so this office is perfect for them. The office is friendly, clean, and organized, which is what I like to look for in a dental office, and over the years it's also become more modernized. I've mostly interacted with Dr. Seewan Chiu, and he's an amazing dentist. He makes you feel comfortable in the chair even when you're nervous. And he patiently explains what procedure he's doing so you know what's happening. I personally like knowing what to expect. Overall, it's a great office with friendly staff. Unprofessional staff, misleading practices, and zero empathy.Misleading X-rays: I went in strictly for a routine cleaning and explicitly asked if X-rays were necessary. Instead of answering, the nurse gave a vague response and pressured me into getting 8-10 unnecessary X-rays while I was confused.Rude, Ageist Comment: I am highly sensitive to dental pain. During the cleaning, I was clearly uncomfortable. Instead of showing empathy, the young dentist snapped at me in Chinese, impatiently saying, "What's wrong now, Auntie?!" ("又怎么了，阿姨！"). This was incredibly disrespectful, condescending, and unprofessional.They lack transparency, patient care, and basic manners.Patients deserve transparency and respectful care, neither of which you will find here. I came here a couple of times for cleaning but never done filling. This is my first time for fillings. I thought it should be okay but I am wrong. At first, I confirmed with the dentist which two teeth. He said upper right and upper left one side each. I said ok. He started removing the old fillings for both sides, polished and put the new one on. During the process I used my tongue to touch both my teeth and make sure he got the right one. So far so good. After he finished polished and adjusted my right tooth then he polished my left tooth. He took so long to polish and the flossed didn't go through in between my teeth then he informed me that he need to do further more of my left tooth. Ended up, he removed the new filling that he filled in and redid the new filling again. I was very upset that he made a mistake and didn't tell me. :( read more

Coming here for a few years now, it's always nice to feel this community vibe in the office, especially with the people of Chinatown. The nostalgia of shopping for groceries and household goods... and delicious food, of course. It always makes the visit to the dentist's not as bad. I always look forward to my regular cleanings and catching up with Dr. Seewan Chiu and the staff! He's super efficient and professional but also so funny. Super chill. Sometimes I have my cleanings with Dr. Colleen too and she's gentle and a great listener. I noticed they implemented cool new stuff like digital X-rays and laptops - going paperless! I started bringing my toddler here too and so far he has been enjoying the "counting teeth" part and getting all the "sugar bugs" or "choong-choong"out. The dentist stopped midway of my root canal and demanded that I pay $900 in order for the root canal to be completed. I have insurance that covers this procedure and notified him of this. He then asked if I had "friends or family" that I could borrow from to cover the procedure and told me that the next available appointment to complete my root canal would be a month from now. I immediately left with an unfinished root canal and contacted a different dentist. The new dentist requested the X-Rays from CT Dental Group. The X-Rays were blurry! My root canal was completed with care by my new dentist. I notice a lot of elderly Chinese people going to CT Dental Group for care. I witnessed elderly patients here paying cash for their dental services which is very odd because Medicare covers dental services. I believe CT Dental Group is a scam operation that should be investigated and shut down. read more

Clean, professional, and friendly establishment. I've been coming here for years, all the dentists and staff are always very attentive and friendly. I went in recently for a teeth cleaning (during Covid times) and they followed all the protocols, from temperature check, providing gloves, wiping down all the chairs and stations, to even spraying with area with the sanitizing mist. Always came here for any related problems since I was young. They were always professional and courteous to their customers that's why everyone always come back here. I recently got my wisdom tooth pulled and they were really gentle and talked me through the entire situation. Although they did give me cotton to bite onto, they did not provide pain killers like other dental place offers. Nevertheless! They are what every dental place should be. I have CT Dental group's patient calling my office because they are in pain from treatment rendered there. I called the office to get a history and not only does no one answer, their mailbox is full. This patient is in pain and has no follow up care from the dentist. This is not only poor business practice, it borders on malpractice. My family and I have been coming to this place for years. Years meaning since I was a little girl still learning where babies REALLY come from. I know there are a million other fancier places that I could go to, but I like my current dentist. Dr. Yan is awesome. She's young, nice, answers all your questions, and knows her stuff. The staff here is efficient enough and everyone is bi-lingual with Chinese and English. Actually, I believe that's the main reason people come here and I would say 95% of the clientele is Chinese. General front teeth cleaning are okay, but don't expect Cam to clean inside back molars as it's too much trouble and he likes to finish within 30 minutes or sooner. It's better to go elsewhere if you require patience with a serious teeth issue. Dr. Albert Huang DDS/DMD is an excellent, very knowledgeable, and understanding dentist here. I like how all procedures, extractions, implants, braces(invisilign), deep & regular cleaning, whitening, etc...do not hurt at all. Even without having to use any lidocaine to numb my pain just for drilling, cleaning, and filling, I did not feel any pain. I got my invisilign done here and it was quick, painless, and many of my friends, co-workers, and others did not know I had invisilign on for two years. Dr. Albert Huang is quick, patient, very skillfull and always listens to my dental needs to have that perfect white smile. Him, dental assistants, other dentists and all the staff here are very nice which is why I always come here. I've been seeing Dr. Lee on and off for 23 years, since I was in high school. Unfortunately, when I entered college, I decided to see a different dentist who really messed up my teeth. He was way too aggressive with filling in my teeth that weren't even decaying. In hind sight, I believe he was in it for the money. I recently moved out of the city and went to another dentist yet again because my tooth was bothering me. It was a fancy office with high tech equipment. The dentist there examined me and came up with an extensive (and costly) treatment plan. She said I needed a crown on the tooth that was bothering me because I had an incomplete fracture as well as other work that needed to be done. I had an uneasy feeling about this and decided to proceed cautiously because of my past experience with the "mad" dentist. I decided to go back to Dr. Lee to get a second opinion and he examined my tooth but could not find any fractures. He did find a chip that he thought was causing the pain I was feeling so he suggested that we approach the problem conservatively by re-patching that tooth. It worked! The pain that I felt for 2 years was finally fixed! I've been pain free for 2 months now. So thankful for Dr. Lee's skills and honesty. He's also VERY nice and always greets me with a smile. read more
