They also told me that they were "just about to contact me about it" which I find hard to believe. They then proceeded to ask to cancel my order. Really upset and quite bad abrupt customer service. I would not recommend buying from this company as they do not know how to treat there customers appropriately. They offered me "additional items" and booja chocolates to be sent with my order if I didn't want to cancel... the boOna chocolates were already included in the original order and who knows what these "additional items" were. I presume they would not be worth the stress and the money being taken/held from my account for a number of days without any contact. Also the items were advertised as on sale, it's January so I assumed it was a January sale. I told them they were on sale but they said they had no record of this... even though my order went through and I had an email confirmation , money left my account and I had the shop app with tracking set to take place. Super strange. I would avoid this company at all costs as I can only imagine what it's like trying to return something or quibble anything with them that you might not be happy with, they will not budge and will not help.

Francis failed to create a cohesive vision and design, failed to put together color palettes that worked with the existing space and was not able to source appropriate products and fabrics. His design aesthetic is next to zero. We later found out that he is not a trained professional or expert and has an unsuccessful background in ballet and contracting, but will tell you otherwise. To be specific, we engaged Francis for a consulting project where he would create a design/shopping list and hand it off to us so we could do the shopping ourselves. He initially agreed to this approach, but quickly tried to convince us to expand the scope for a full design project, which not surprisingly would increase the fees payable to him by 3.5X. In addition, Francis was incredibly impatient and condescending throughout the entire process. He would become visibly annoyed by questions/suggestions and did not respect our opinions/interests. He continually pushed his tasteless vision and would constantly tell us to get over our fears and give him control over the project. Francis missed the mark on every level. He is painful to work with and will waste your time and money.

We started our project at the beginning of COVID, and so all of our interactions were virtual, but Francis and his associates made the process feel like we were all together in the same room. We would always look forward to our weekly meetings, from going over our story and vision for our apartment, to creating blueprints, to making selections from the options he brought us. We were starting from scratch, which was quite overwhelming, but Francis made the process safe and enjoyable. He introduced us to design elements that we never would have thought of going in, but now that they're here feel so authentically us. And the results!!! Everyone who walks into our apartment says they think it looks like a home out of architectural digest. From the custom built-ins that Francis designed, furniture, paint, wall coverings, lighting, stone, rugs... it all came out like a work of art. Robyn, Liz, Lisa & intern AJ were a delight to work with--their humor, kindness, and ability to keep on task regardless of the many hurdles thrown at the project along the way were inspiring and stress-reducing. They were always available, super fast to respond, and kept me sane during the entire year it took to convince my building's engineer my apartment rehab would be feasible. Robyn was able to bring to life every idea I had in her original design plans and when they weren't feasible she found terrific workarounds that were as good if not better. Her knowledge of local craftspeople (custom millwork, custom upholstery, appliances, lighting) was exceptional. Liz's careful eye for detail was terrific in how she helped pick really wise and fun furniture, fabric, and lighting choices. The many lighting challenges of my mid-Century building were handled with ease. Lisa kept me apprised of budget, contractors, and billing issues throughout and coordinated so many financial details. As a team, we ended up, through a lot of intense collaboration, with an end product that was stunning and beyond what any of us had originally conceived and dramatically altered the space. The many months delay in getting final approval to renovate became time to fine-tune and make creative adjustments that resulted in a spectacular gut rehab. After walking away for many months the best part came at the reveal--I didn't want to see it until it was complete. That wow moment and the joy of seeing it 99% together was a day I will never forget. Every room has a wow factor and has so many fun, creative, and useful elements. I could not be happier and am so grateful to Studio D with the investment of time and resources that we made to create not just a home but a live-work sanctuary for decades to come.

He is disrespectful, unprofessional and very self interested. When I came to view the apartment I later rented, Keon personally confirmed my appointment hours prior for the agreed time. I was kept waiting for over two hours with sparse responses and declined calls from him saying "he'll be right there" or "can't talk now." He later mentioned his lack of response was due to showing other properties and completely ignoring this appointment. After two hours he finally picks up the phone - I was frustrated but kept it respectful. He then threatens not to show up rather than acknowledge his mistake. He is responsive, only until he gets his money. After I met my landlord and we squared away brokers fees, he stopped responding and dragged his feet in returning a deposit check to me. I had to call, text, over and over across several weeks before getting any response or what I was owed. At the end of my lease term, and before my household was able to get vaccinated for COVID-19, he did NOT conduct apartment viewings for future tenants in a respectful manner. Being in a high risk group for COVID infections, I simply asked that he and prospective renters take precautions as to not put myself or loved ones at risk in trying to balance the landlord's need with personal safety. He agreed, but on the day of viewing he showed up late not respecting our schedule, rushed in when I opened the door, and did not respect the precautions he volunteered to take. I opted to be absent during viewings as a result and asked him to lock up and respect certain areas which contain valuable/NDA protected items. He confirmed he would do this and later did upon ending the open house. When I returned, I found the apartment unlocked for hours (creating professional liabilities), dirt on the floors, and no trace of the precautions I had asked for (masks and shoe covers in my home). I had to spend hours cleaning up after Keon because he could not be bothered to offer some basic respect. When I asked him about this he dodged my questions and ultimately chose not to respond or answer calls even when I called his office and asked his assistant to leave him a note. I ended up finding out from my landlord that he displayed no hint of this behavior to the landlord, his client, so this is no fluke. His behavior is unacceptable. Between creating liabilities and health risks to the complete disregard for basic respect, I suggest you find another broker.

Raine was a friend of a friend, and I initially liked her design, so I reached out. She gave me a good price for her services and discounts for products. But things started going downhill very quickly: - I gave her a top limit of what I could spend and her initial budget came back almost double, so we spent a lot of time whittling down the budget - She spoke disparagingly of every choice that I brought to the table, and kept telling me "I'm the professional." - She ordered a chair cover for a chair that I had, and it came in the wrong size. Rather than returning it and getting the right size, she insisted I buy a new chair! - She insisted that I order curtains that I didn't really love, and then when I still didn't like them when I got them, she said that I had to pay the return restocking & reshipping fee. And when I finally had enough and decided to end it, it just got worse: - She only accepted cash and refused to provide receipts or invoices, so when I tried to get back money that I'd already paid her for services not rendered, nothing added up. - After I tried to reach out to her about what she owed me, she stopped responding to calls, emails and texts. It got so bad that I tried to take her to small claims to get back what she owed me, but she moved. A couple times. So the court could never serve her. Well, on to the court of public opinion - be forewarned!

I used to think girls were attracted to abs and maybe a winning personality - but it turns out it also helps to not live in a hovel. To that end, my place was in dire need of some decorative CPR, and that's where Raine came in and saved the day. She came over and assessed my apartment: what I had, what I wanted, what I needed, what my budget allowed, what I liked and what I didn't, and then she worked her decorator voodoo: coming up with clever and elegant solutions to transform my pad from a pizza box-littered dungeon to a beautifully simple, modern, super-comfortable living space that I'm now proud not only to come home to, but to show off every chance I get. I can't tell you how nice it's been to come home after a crazy day at work and relax in my born-again pad - and best of all it doesn't look like a generic, paint-by-numbers IKEA catalogue - Raine used her expertise to give my place a unique, personal feel, and it really does look like it should be in a magazine.
