This is the most unprofessional place I have seen. They literally said I couldn't donate because they didn't support the tattoo of a symbol I have on my upper neck. It's sad when people automatically judge you based off something they don't even have knowledge of just because they we're told it was something wrong .the lady who was telling me I couldn't donate because of my tattoo wouldn't even allow me to tell her the meaning of it and it's origin. Her whole demeanor towards me changed completely just because she assumed I was a racist because of my tattoo, I never felt so dehumanized in my life especially being that I am the only black person in Springfield but with these particular tattoos. read more

the wait is always 1.5 hours or more before you even start donating. the staff is rude and under trained. last week one of the stuck me so hard it nearly sent me into shock! the manager, Chrystia, does look out for her staff, at the expense of the donors. BioLife pays better. if you're desperate for $30 and don't mind standing in the cold for 2 hours to get it, this place is golden. read more

I have been donating plasma for a year in 3 different locations. The staff here is very friendly and they get you through very quickly.

The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly every time. Quick and easy to get in and out.

Horrible service. Went in as a new donor with an appointment. Waited at the reception desk for someone to help me for 10 minutes. Finally asked a person that was in an office for help, was informed that the receptionist was with a patient and would be with me soon. 10 minutes later I was informed that they were not taking any more new donors that day. I told them that I had an appointment and all they said was that they were sorry and I could come back the next day. I wasted my time and gas to get there and received horrible service. Not a very friendly place and they have NO respect for their donors. I won't be back, and would discourage anyone from going there. Biomate in Bentonville was a much better experience. read more

I went in for my usual donation , donation process went well . Upon completion I showed Bill ( a phlebotomist) a coupon that was sent to me by a fellow donor. Bill said he would check with his manager, and acted as if they weren't going to allow my coupon. No big deal , I told him it wasn't a problem. I left and 15 minutes later attempted to withdraw my funds using the 1 free atm withdrawal allowed after each completed donation. 1st attempt said I was -.83 cents , I thought that's not right and tried again. This time -$2.83 . So I called CSL to see why this was happening, I spoke to an employee and was informed that Bill , ( the phlebotomist) had forgotten to pay me and they went ahead and pushed it through. Only problem was by now I had been charged $4.00 in atm fees due to him not paying me before I left the facility. The employee I spoke with told me to mention it on my next visit and it would be made right. That was not the case. I spoke with Karen which is apparently the Manager, and was told that I was misinformed and they cannot do anything about it because her manager would ask why. It's obvious their concern isn't the patient but having to answer the question why to their manager. This I known as taking accountability. Unfortunately they failed to teach that in their training class. If you donate plasma stay far away from this facility. Biolife is a much cleaner and comfortable environment and the staff will always make sure to address any issues you may have without the fear of being asked why. read more

I was a first time donor and was told to expect a 3-4 hour first visit. It took approximately 3.5 hours from start to finish. They were professional and explained everything well. The waiting area "felt" dirty, but the back area where you donate seemed clean enough. While I was there, there was a gentleman employee who was constantly wiping down the doors, handles, seats, etc, so I felt like they were doing a good job of keeping it clean/sanitized. This place is dirty and not good DO NOT GO to this place and give blood . People are dirty and facilities are dirty and not sanitize and clean. Plus they sell your plasma for high dollar to other facilities, so you just filling their big pockets with your blood , you are not saving any lives .. if you want to help others and save lives GO TO RED CROSS. IF you doing it for money other places pay you much more . Here they take your plasma , kill your blood cells and give them back to you that is not good for your health and blood . I recently donated plasma for the first time here and they were fantastic! They were helpful in making sure I understood everything and that I had completed all the steps. All the employees were wearing masks and gloves. They provided masks for anyone who was not wearing masks. When I sat down to donate they opened a new needle in front of me so I knew it was sanitary. They explained everything to me so I knew what I was doing and how the donating process worked. read more

this place just lost two valuable donors me n my husband are o- and will not be coming back they treat donors like crap if your not donating and have someone who is you are forced to wait outside in the cold even when there is nobody in the lobby when u are donating and finish they rush u out the door when ur just trying to get ur things from under the chair absolutely unacceptable attitudes not to mention how they put the needles in ur arm I've had them blow my vein and put the needle in carelessly all for 40 bucks? bio life gives more and actually treat their donors right. 0/10 would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I'll start off by stating that I work here. Clean. Efficient. Friendly. I would never work for any company that does not focus on those three criteria first and foremost. The idea here is that you donate plasma and, in exchange for your time, are given a little bit of money on a convenient debit card. You get to feel good for helping to provide the raw materials needed to perform research and also produce essential medicines that could save anyone's life at any time. I have nothing but good words to give to this company, my cohorts, my bosses, and the many charitable people I see on a daily basis. read more

I was very nervous about giving plasma the first time but this facility is by the best in the area. It is hospital clean & sterile. Never once did I feel it was dirty, unsafe, or sketchy. The workers make time go by fast and make it an enjoyable experience. If you become a regular, they remember your name. If your a newbee, they take extra special care of you. They are even accomodating to the lives of students (like when we have to miss time to go home for break like christmas). I too have nothing but good things to say and I dont work there but I have continued to give plasma there for over a year. :) read more

I was recently perscribed marijuana for mild anxiety. Sooooo, now I'm permanently deferred. NOT because of a perscription. Nu uh. Because I occasionally have trouble falling asleep or don't have an appetite, I lost $400 a month. So! The staff is awesome, the process is fast and as long as you're more than 150lbs, it's totally worth it. Learn from my mistske! If they prescribe you delicious and good weed, don't tell CSL. They don't screen for it, anyway. Only lie you have to tell is the one where it asks if you've recently gotten any new prescriptions. Don't lose your money! It was my first time donating plasma when I went here. The lady at the front counter said that they would take extra special care of me since it was the first time. She said that I was a "red" meaning that she thought that one arm would be easier to stick than the other and I asked what that meant and she assured me that She would give me one of their "senior techs" and not just anybody so that it would be as painless as possible. After the screening process I was sat down in a room with many other people who were also donating... After sitting there for about 5 minutes waiting to start my donation some lady walked by and said to her college "look we've got another that nobody told me about". She stuck me in the opposite arm that the lady in the front desk recommended, she made a "sigh", cranked the pump/return machine to max, and walked away. I noticed that the bottle was 1/3 full already after only 5 minutes and I started to feel faint, my arm went numb, and my body temperature increased rapidly and I was sweating. I waved down one of the techs there and they turned the machine off for a minute and helped me lower my body temperature. This happened 3 times before I left there. All of the techs seemed to be blaming me for what happened saying that if I was better hydrated or had ate a full meal before going there that this wouldn't have happened. I WAS well hydrated and continued to drink water the entire time that I was there. I HAD eaten plenty that morning as well, not even knowing the requirements before going there. All in all I can only give them an average rating only because I still got my compensation amount for my donation but I probably would look elsewhere after this traumatic experience. read more

This place can be very frustrating, but it can also be very inspiring. The employees are almost always very nice. There are a couple of old ladies who work there that are very aggressive for no reason. I have never had a problem, but i have seen them being very pompus, argumentative, and straight up bitchy to others made up reasons more than once. read more

This place has to be the dirtiest and unprofessional place to go. I have eczema and they permanently deferred me talking about I have impetigo. I went back to my dr and they confirmed the eczema. I went back to tell and show them and they had an attitude about to and told me my veins were to small. Don't go here unless you want your time wasted. read more

I sat there ALL DAY waiting for my new donor physical. The first thing I did was fill out the sheet that tells them what piercings and tattoos that I have had, and after being there for HOURS they finally told me that a piercing that I had (that has been CLOSED for 10 years) caused me to be a PERMANENT deferral. I sat there ALL DAY and was offered NO COMPENSATION. I am very unhappy with my experience. I have given plasma there before within the last 10 years SINCE I had this piercing and it was no problem. They could have told me that I didn't qualify at the beginning of the day instead of wasting my time all day. I have other things that I could have gotten done. HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! read more

The people working here are extremely rude and talk to people like they are garbage! The wait for a first time visitor is at least five hours. Once you have gone through it you you see why because their routine is so inefficient. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy! read more

I love the idea of helping others but let's face it if it's not to help a family member most people donate for the extra money. The way CSL ' word' the compensation information makes it seem as if you will receive $50 on your first visit. This is not true because they split it into two visits. So in your mind your thinking that you can make at least $80 in two visits ...wrong!!! By the time you make $80 you will have visited and stuck with needles about 4-5 times. And then put a 'stamp' on your finger so that it can be detected if you attempt to visit other centers. So you then feel a little stuck once again because you can safely donate every two days but centers don't want to take a new patient that actually switch centers that quickly. I understand that they don't wish to compensate enough to pay your monthly mortgage but this money is so very ' bottom of the barrel' it's not very fair. Especially when the centers receive hundreds of dollars per unit of life saving plasma. It's successful for the company because there are so many people that are struggling and once you go through the extensive screening process you figure I may as well go through with it because you've come this far but it's really a shame that they offer such a small amount when plasma is so precious, donations are painful, time consuming and you have to spend gas money to visit twice per week to barely earn $50. Yes the average job pays $10 per hour, so one may think' ok this is like making more than that for about 2 1/2 hours' ( because you do have waiting time in line before your 45 min actual donation) but regular jobs don't involve pain such as this. Not to mention the possibility of embarrassing scaring on your arms. And the jobs that involve saving lives.....doctors, nurses.... Make very good salaries that average way more than $50 per week. They make far more than $50 per hour. I understand that this is a good business decision because at the end if the day it's a business out to make as much money as they can but this really makes it obvious that CSL is just yet another greedy opportunist preying on folks who are down on their luck. read more
