He is a miracle worker! After several visits over a few weeks, with adjustments, acupuncture and laser therapy, the pain finally went away. Was getting care for my newborn baby and had all my appointments pre booked and my insurance was accepted which allowed my daughter to have 18 visit fully covered! Which for a low income family is Amazing and I think chiropractor care it a must and I loved the care my daughter was receiving!! But unfortunately when I went to one of our appointments. Like usual I walked in checked in had our usual care went to check out and that's when I was hit with the payment of 102$. I was confused because insurance covers it. Well apparently they stopped taking our insurance and didn't have decency to email or call me to give me a warning that they no longer accept our insurance. I planned to write a review myself, but my daughter offers a great explanation of why this business is so awful. The owner clearly has no concern for his staff or patients. I'm sickened for her and the position she is now in! Do not give this place any consideration! Please read below. "I am not sure where I should begin on my review for Loehr Wellness Center and all other business affiliated with this man. My family has been long time patients of My Healthy Kids and Family Birth and Wellness for almost three years now. A year ago Dr Loehr purchased those companies and the service all around since has gone increasingly downhill. My sons pediatric services was at my healthy kids, since Dr Loehr took over, two pediatricians up and left and no communication was given to parents and the care had become horrible, never even calling back for sick child visits. I've also been using family birth and wellness for my current pregnancy since this past August. What started out as decent services (still below what I'd expect) quickly turned terrible. Plenty of mis communication, appointments constantly rescheduled, multiple midwives leaving abruptly, etc. As of right now, I am due in 4 weeks to have a baby. I found out TODAY through FACEBOOK of all places that family birth and wellness is closing down, effective almost immediately and will not see any pregnant mothers due past February 28th(I am due March 9th). I called the facility and they are able to give me no explanation, but I did hear through another place that this man only told the employees two days ago. This is absolutely earth shattering and sickening for multiple reasons. So many women are left with 4 weeks or less to find new prenatal care, and if you are familiar with the holistic and integrative medicine world in the Springfield area, you know there are not a lot of options. This leaves us to completely change everything we thought we had planned for our birth experiences. Anyone who can do this so abruptly to families and pregnant women due to give birth any day is a cruel heartless individual. I considered leaving a few months ago when the service was getting bad, but the employees were still great and I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. I should have listened to my gut instinct. Dr Loehr does not care about people, or patients. I was also informed that in 60 days we may get contacted about getting some of 4K that we have already paid out of pocket to the birthing center back. Absolutely sickening. Even though payment isn't fully due until closer to your due date, they basically begged me at my last appointment to pay the remaining the $1,000. Now I know why. They will be hearing from us constantly until we get our entire refund. Special note about the Chiropractic side. When I still wanted to trust these facilities I took my son there. Despite the fact that the chiropractor, Dr LaBrie was great, the service was awful. Constantly they called me to cancel my sons appointments without being able to reschedule. Dr Loehr only cares about money and you are nothing, but a number. It's either that, or he is just not an intelligent human and knows nothing about managing people or running a business." read more

Apparently at some point I have super messed up my back... the sound of popping joints has always freaked me out so I will a little nervous at my first appt. Dr Labrie was super patient and talked me through everything before she did it. Super nice lady! I have also been seeing Dr Baca - and that man has managed to make parts of my back and neck pop that I didn't think were entirely possible. Also very funny. The staff are all super friendlly... I have never had to wait at all... the place is efficient and very well organized. I also enjoy that they use ecofriendly cleaning products! I've been a patient of Dr Loehr for over 6 years, even when he was at Meeks. He's a great doctor but now he's more interested in being a business owner than a doctor. The office use to be a great chiropractor office, but now it's far too large, and they have to keep the lights on somehow. So they have you go through a bunch of procedures and examinations you don't need to charge you even more. They also overbook patients so that you're waiting an hour for your appointment or and they're rushing you in and out when you actually see the dr. I quit going to Meeks because of these reasons and now Loehr is even worse. I would recommend finding a smaller office with more personal care. The way Loehr use to be. read more

Excellent. They relieved my shoulder/back pain. I had only been to a chiropracter once before. So, there was doubt for me that this was going to help me. But, I decided to open my mind and try it - vs going to my doctor & maybe being given an Rx for medication. I didn't want that. Loehr's entire staff is wonderful, from the moment I called in - to my first step through their front door - to an intake meeting with a patient liaison - to the initial exam with Dr. Baca - and on through treatments. Dr. Baca treated me. He really listened to me and monitored changes as we progressed through treatment. I am very pleased with the results. No hesitation recommending Loehr. I have been to many chiropractors in the Springfield area over the past 40 years and the most I have ever been charged was 55.00 for a first time patient. THIS GUY CHARGED ME $334.00. the break down for this outrageous amount is as follows: initial exam..........................................150.00 x-rays................................................... 99.00 adjustment........................................... 45.00 muscle stimulation............................... 25.00 hot pack............................................... 15.00 He charged me $25 for connecting me up to a tens unit, every Chiropractor I have ever seen hooked me up to one of these and not one has ever charged me till this guy. And if that isn't bad enough, he charged me $15 for putting a reusable hot pack on my back. Now if he had let me know what the charges were going to be before I was blindsided by what I consider his unethical practices, then at least I would have been able to decide whether I wanted to pay these extremely high prices. But as it was, he said nothing and I expected fairly comparable pricing to what other doctors in this area charge for the same services. Three days later I was still in a considerable amount of pain so I went to a different Chiropractor... this was also my first time with the new doctor, he did the exact same things as Steven Loehr did, minus the x-rays. Spent more time with me and explained in detail why I was still in such pain... TOTAL COST $45.00. Since then I have returned to this other doctor 3 more times and I am finally starting to see relief... the only reason I am not stating who this other doctor is, is because I showed him my bill from Mr. Loehr and his exacts words were "in my opinion this is dishonest" among other things said. Considering I have not got his permission to use his name here I feel it is best if I don't. As far as I am concerned Steven Loehr practices with less than ethical morals and I sure will steer everyone I know away from this guy. read more

Well...they got the job done. My back feels better and the staff was all very nice. The lady who did my x-rays was a sweetheart! My doctor was nice but I think she was new to the profession. Again, she did the job but didn't really say much...she seemed very timid; yet was very pushy on how many more times she thought I needed to come back. She wanted to see me 4 more times in the next week, I declined to see how I felt first and the one visit fixed my issue. I did not have a bad experience but a different doctor may have made it a better one. Again, job done and everyone was very nice. read more
