What a joke this place is. The workers are not so pleasant. The site is ridiculous. They do not have any sympathy for disability people.

Red Cross Failure…read more Responding to a plea by the Red Cross for blood donations, a friend and I volunteered to take part in the drive scheduled for June 19, 2020, in Littleton, New Hampshire. We shared the first two appointments which were 11:00 and 11:15 in the morning. Arriving at10:50, we expected to begin the administrative necessities then be ready for our scheduled appointments and continue on with other events planned for the day. Unfortunately, events unfolded in a surprisingly disgusting manner. Upon entering the testing facility, we were greeted by a woman in a distant corner loudly complaining about the absence of someone to administer temperature testing and complaining that she was unprepared to accept donations at that time. She went on to tell us that we would just have to wait outside. She obviously took no notice of the heat building outside or the fact more people were arriving, wearing masks and having to wait. Moreover, no seating was provided outside. Obviously of little concern to her because she was in an air-conditioned environment. While neither I or my friend know who the woman by name, she was evidently in charge because the other staff were giving her a wide birth as she ranted. After many years in management positions, I made note of several things I observed about this situation. 1. If your first appointment is 11:00, you should be ready to conduct business at that time. The start time is when you do just that, start. Any preparations should already be complete. 2. You don't conduct business by whining and loudly complaining about things over which it is your job to administer. This is particularly true when your "clients" are present. 3. Treat your colleagues and "clients" with respect. Throwing "clients" out of the facility because they arrived a reasonable ten minutes early is disrespectful and unacceptable. 4. When we were asked to leave, no one bothered to ask our names or verify any information about our presence. We were evidently an inconvenience in the whole process. Conclusion: Whoever the woman in charge was, she demonstrated a host of failures. She was totally unprepared to manage a function for which she was responsible. She demonstrated a lack of respect for everyone in the room by her loud complaining. She continued to show disrespect for those of us who wished to donate blood by deciding our presence was an inconvenience and ordering us out of the room. Overall, she demonstrated a distinct lack of social graces and an inability to manage her responsibilities regardless of the situation. Results: My friend and I and at least one other individual left without donating blood. We all felt uncomfortable with the environment created by the woman in charge and certainly did not want her drawing our blood. We understand blood donations are critically needed because of COVID-19. That said, it is incumbent on the Red Cross to insure an inviting environment exists where "clients" have confidence in the people responsible for collecting the donations. That was certainly not the case in this instance and calls into question the personnel vetting and hiring process of the Red Cross.
