I questioned my co pay and the receptionist was very snarky with her response and I almost left solely because of that but I didn't. Then you wait and wait and wait. There is nothing quick about this place. The whole experience felt like a business deal to them. What has happened to health care? I would not ever go back here. UPDATE! So my elbow that was X Rayed here and cleared by their radiologist was in fact FRACTURED, so now I have a piece of bone floating on my ulna nerve and have to go have a nerve test done before they can remove the piece of bone. So now I live in pain still until I can get into have the nerve test done and who knows how much longer after that until it gets removed. Today validated why I gave such a bad review and why I will NEVER step foot in a Convenient MD ever again and I'll make sure the word gets out to the best of my ability about the crap care this place gives. read more

So the medical care aspect was fine. Got the flu shot just before Xmas; in and out in 20 mins. My issue is the billing - I did not get a bill but got a text from a collections agency. Called their billing dept; after a 20 min wait, I got through to a super helpful woman, Nicola, who clarified that I was not overdue, and that this wouldn't affect my credit score. Apparently they don't send out paper bills anymore (which I need for the FSA), you just get a text from a collection agency. Thing is, this is the second time I've had an issue like this. Being billed in this way does not work for me, will not be going back. read more

The McDonald's of health care. I made an appointment for 10 a.m., and was ushered into an exam room by 10:20. I was told I would have to meet with a virtual provider despite having indicated I believed I had strep throat (which usually includes a visual inspection and checking for swelling in addition to lab work). After the tech barely took a swab (she seemed inexperienced) I was then told I would have to have the wifi enabled on my phone and the provider would send me an invitation. When I asked how that invitation would be sent, the man explaining it to me said he wasn't sure but would "probably" come through as facetime. So, I sat there and kept checking my texts and calls - to no avail. I finally looked at my email, and there was an invitation to join a call. But then for some reason my phone didn't have microphone or video set up so I had to fool around with that also to no avail. Finally, I poked my head out of the exam room and told them I needed help. The same man came back with a tablet that he fumbled around with. Finally got set up and on the call. I can't imagine being a senior citizen with no technological expertise trying to figure this out. The provider was - I think - an NP (Ms. Desa) who really didn't ask much about symptoms and then confirmed the strep test was positive. Called in an Rx for antibiotics to my pharmacy. The discharge summary was emailed to me but it's password protected and although I called the location to ask for help they said they didn't know how to help me with it. So I can't read my discharge summary because I have no password and no option to create one. Meanwhile, today (the following day) I took a Covid test and am positive - so I am curious why on earth they aren't automatically testing everyone who comes through the door for Covid just on general principle. I informed the office of this as well when I called back today. Very slipshod, half-a$$ed health care. read more

Their billing department made a coding error with our Member ID number that resulted in the insurance company not paying the claim. I received notice of this and contacted them trying to resolve the issue. They refused to correct their error and rebill the claim. In retaliation to me contacting them and trying to resolve their error, they referred my file to collections that day. I only found out because my insurance company personally called them to try and resolve the matter and they told my insurance provider their was a zero balance (never mentioning they had just sent it to collections). None of their billing people (Jessica, Brittany, etc) were willing to take responsibility for the issue and help us get it resolved. I was also told there was nobody above Jessica I could speak too. Will never use ConvenientMD again because our experience has been anything but convenient. Will be sharing my experience with other consumers and agencies. read more

They got me in super fast since I was the only one there but looked at my urine sample for a few seconds to determine, yes, I had a bladder infection. Charged almost $500. That's an example of what's wrong with this country regarding healthcare. Then, they keep your credit card on file and charge it out of the blue for what the insurance company doesn't pay. So a month later I see a charge for $250! They don't send you a bill and let YOU decide how to pay. They overcharge then decide that you're paying their bill with that credit card a month later! I don't remember the name of the nurse that took my vitals and information once we were in the room but she was absolutely amazing! She was more than personable, she joked around, not just in her words but she emitted an aura that made me feel better and more comfortable than I usually am in a Drs office. I wish I could remember her name so I could give her a proper shout out because she definitely deserves it. Whatever she's being paid, please raise it by ?2 an hour. I'm a consultant who works out of state, so I never have time to see my primary care doctor when they're open during regular business hours. I'm usually across the country during those times. I walked in here on a Saturday a couple hours prior to closing, and my wait was maybe 5 minutes. Everyone from the person who checked me in to the nurse and physician's assistant was unexpectedly exceptional. It was $35 with my insurance. If you're ill and in need of some urgent care, then come here. If you're bleeding out or anything life threatening though, I'd still recommend you go to the ER. read more

I was seen by Physician Assistant Kelsey Fischer for knee pain in March. I explained to her that I injured myself exercising, and, long story short, she said my pain was due to arthritis. She did not do an X-ray. I should have reiterated that I very specifically injured myself while exercising - an acute event - so how could the diagnosis solely be arthritis? She was very nice, and I hate to say anything bad about her, but I want it to be known how wrong her diagnosis was. Finally, two and a half painful months later I have had an x-ray and an MRI. The MRI revealed a torn meniscus, a ruptured Bakers cyst, and tendonosis - a far cry from her diagnosis of arthritis. Please be your own best advocate and question medical professionals when what they are telling you doesn't sound right. I could have had surgery on my knee by now if she had just referred me to an orthopedist back in March. Lesson learned. read more

I've called a couple of times for myself and another person and the employee answering the phone has been extremely rude each time. These were very basic, brief and friendly questions about receiving care there that I couldn't find answers to online and each time I was treated like it was a huge imposition. What was worse is that the second time, the woman was shockingly sarcastic. I'm incredibly sympathetic to how taxed healthcare workers are during this time, however this seems to be a theme at this location. Pros: Got in and was seen almost immediately. It was a weekend and I expected it to be very busy. Staff was friendly and attentive. Met my expectation for care. I had bronchitis.. Red Flag: They require you to keep a credit card on file. Their payment policy states that they will send out a notice that they will charge your card with whatever balance is not covered by insurance. They send this out 7 days prior to charging the card, and your receive the notice 2-3 days before they do it. I should have walked out when I read the fine print Con: SUPER EXPENSIVE. $400.00 for bronchitis. CVS Minute Clinic would have charged $100.00, as would have been about the same for my primary physician's clinic. Edited: One less star as they indicated they would look into why the balance was so high, never heard back even though I provided full name and phone number. read more

Hands down would be a 10/10! I recently was there to get a COVID test done due to exposure through work, and actually recommended to my fellow coworkers that they come see you. The staff was amazing! Super friendly and very helpful with any questions I had. I was very nervous about going in and quite uneasy about the test, but whike talking to the staff these fears went away. I had a cat bite on my hand that was very painful, swollen, hot to touch, and after 2 days of trying to treat it with salt water baths and bacitracin ointment. I finally gave in and went to ConvenientMD. They were fairly busy and preferred patients to wait in their car. I waited for about 45 mins to 1 hour. I saw James who was excellent in my care. We called before we went and asked if they did X-rays and they said yes so we went in and they didn't bother telling us their WiFi was down until we checked in so they couldn't even send the x Ray to the radiologist and then we ended up waiting in the waiting room for 45+ minutes and then we waited in the exam room after the X-ray for another 30+ minuets just for the doctor to come in and talk to us for five minuets. The doctor that we talked to was very condescending and kept examining my right hand even though I told him multiple times it was my left hand that was hurt. They don't really seem to care too much about helping quickly get thru the Covid process, they actually seem quite "inconvenienced" by it. People I know that have been tested after me elsewhere heard with in 48-72 hours of their tests- clearly with the rise of increase testing it shows that it can be done in a decent time to deliver tests. I even drove over there because NO ONE answers the phone, they have it go straight to voicemail which is "conveniently" full. So upon driving there, I was kind and polite in sharing my stress in hoping to find out my results and that basically I have been cleared by my doctor to resume work because I've met my quarantine day requirement symptom free, but basically have been just waiting on them to deliver my results. Other workers who I wasn't even speaking to, were walking past, and happily (almost snotty) adding their two cents of "Oh inquiring about test results, yes it's gonna be 7 days now" and I said ok well my doctor called LabCorp on my behalf today and they told me 3-4. So the one worker replied, "Well 3-4 days then. And also Covid is a disease that doesn't care about hurting peoples feelings." Seriously, what?!? So unprofessional and not kind in helping ease someone's stress who hasn't been at work in 2 weeks which also means I've lost much income because I am self employed. Don't waste your time going just for the convenience of not needing an appointment, they do not care about delivering quick results. Make an appointment elsewhere and get your results with in 48 hours! read more

My insurance company paid them the going rate, but I was still billed crazy fees after the fact. Do not go here. I took my 3 year old in after falling and breaking her nose - she was bleeding from the face and I still had to sit and sign a ton of documents while she was bleeding all over me. They did not show me copies of anything I signed and given that I was in a panic due to the nature of my baby's injury, I tried to get through it as quickly as possible - knowing fully well I was signing my rights away. I had to put a credit card on file for billing or they wouldn't see my bleeding daughter - not one mention of available alternate payment arrangements. Then I had to wait a full 20 minutes to see someone even though there were no other patients waiting. I received a bill about a month later staying that within 2 days, my card on file would be charged for a portion of the bill. A few months later I received another bill for another portion of the balance, again with 2 days' notice that my card on file would be charged. I called them at that point to stress that these billing methods were not acceptable - to send a letter that your card would be charged with 2 days' notice. Thankfully, I used a credit card and not my debit card. I am pretty sure that many people that come here are under distress and may not have insurance and may not have any extra money kicking around for an unexpected automated charge with little notice. Then almost a full YEAR later, I receive another bill for the last portion remaining. I was under the impression I had paid in full (silly me, should have looked closer). Since this was another notice that my card on file would be billed, I assumed everything was paid and I could finally be done with this place. Well, today, I received a collection notice that the remaining balance was due and it is a nasty collection notice. I did not receive any further communication from the provider that I owed anything so I was very surprised to receive a COLLECTION notice. No calls, no other letters, just a nasty collection notice for $143. The physician we saw was nice - that's the only positive - but didn't do anything, gave me a napkin for the blood and an ice pop to calm my daughter and suggested we call her pediatrician in the morning. If you have a choice, go somewhere else. read more

After we asked her multiple times what she could do and what was wrong said she would be right back, my mom said where are you going and she said to look in a dermatology book.
