Called twice to remind them to send the order to NorDX, I get to my appointment , no order. The person taking my blood told me that she ABHORS this practice that several times a week they have to call them because the patient is there with no Dr Order. Still haven't heard the results of my bloodwork that was only two and a half weeks ago.. I hope they don't see early signs of cancer because even if Dr Stockwell reviews them, nobody will call me back . And then there are my prescriptions, which I order in a 90 day supply because it is such a hassle to get a nurse to make a telephone call. I asked for a refill at my Annual called again on October 24 and then called them back on October 31st and I went to the pharmacy today and they said that they had just received the prescription and I could wait 20 minutes. I have gone two days without it, were the nurses on a lunch break, polishing their fingernails?? Not a heard nursing job!!! I know, I am am owner in the industry! This office manager needs to be fired and someone competent need to take over the job.

Why two puncture wounds and bruising over an inch away from the puncture(s) site?? I did say it was hurting at one point when the tech was pressing too hard but then when she removed the needle, she did it really fast - like she couldn't wait to get it over with, not gently like when inserting. OUCH!! ASK if you are getting a phlebotomist AND how much bruising you should expect!!

On the Walk-In Clinic, I've been coming here for a while now, when I need to be seen for milder things but can't make it to my primary care. Depending on staffing and how busy they are, yes, you may have to wait a while. But that's how walk-in clinics work. You walk-in when you want, and they'll see you as soon as they can. On some of the negative reviews on here- If you're actively bleeding, you should be going to the ER (or maybe an urgent care). This is a walk-in clinic, you're not prioritized. This is not the place for that kind of care. If you have something viral, no they're not going to give you antibiotics, because they're for bacteria, not viruses. It won't help with what you're sick with. All they can do is give you advice on what to do, and tell you to suck it up. I came here today, and also didn't eat before I came. That's on me, and not them. It's not their job to make sure you take care of yourself before you come here. And again, you may have to wait a while. It's a roll of the dice. Just show up and hope they're not busy. No, you can't leave and hold your spot in line. That's not how it works You would be getting out of line. Did you not learn how lines work when you were little?

The next morning, we skipped family holiday plans and made a visit to urgent care at Mercy's satellite office in Yarmouth instead. Overtired and screaming in pain, the check-in attendant (Cheryl perhaps? I can't recall her name), nurse Sue and Dr. Ertman all went out of their way to see us quickly and as comfortably as possible. We were in and out in less than an hour with a diagnosis and feeling good about the course of action to take. So comforting having this facility right down the road for hours our primary care office is closed, even on a holiday. Thanks, all!

I had the symptoms for about 2 weeks and explained that I was looking for some relief. I was there for about 1 hour, had a chest X-ray, was never seen by a doctor or nurse practitioner and was told to drink fluids and get some rest. The nursing student was awkward and a bit rude ( called me too old for Tamiflu at 44 years old) and certainly in a hurry to get me out of there because it was friday evening. All of the above i could deal with but then i got the bill. I thought Urgent Cares were generally less expensive the Hospital Emergency Room but I think I must have been mistaken. The one hour visit cost nearly $1000! My insurance company was billed $300 from a Dr. I never saw. I have called the Mercy Hospital business office several times and they claim all the charges are legitimate. Buyer Beware!

I didnt want to go to SMMC but it was the closest hospital. Usually I would go to MMC or Northern Light Mercy. Let me tell you from start to finish I got quality care. From the front desk to the doctor it was seemless. Even security there was kind and empathetic. In the first hour that I was there I already had heen registered, triaged, labs ordered and had my EKG. Half hour after that I was in a comfortable room with a TV. Because I was so dehydrated they could not find a vein to do an IV. Three different people came to look but not one of them poked me. They sent in a team with an Ultra sound machine to find the vein. Even though the Dr suspected Noro Virus he did a ct abdominal scan because I was in so much pain. I was thankful we were able to rule out anything life threatening. I left there after 6:00. I got to my pharmacy before 7:00 and my medication was there waiting for me. I wanted to give this review because SMMC has a bad rap. MMC is the place everyone would recommend you go to, but the experience there is hellish. If you get shot in the head or run over by a bus yes MMC is the place to go. If you are not dying, but feel like you are SMMC is a great option. I am not saying they don't handle trauma situations I am sure they do, they are an ER and not an urgent care, but MMC is a trauma one hospital so unless you are a trauma one patient, you will recieve better care at SMMC.

I have been there as a walk in patient and was helped by the on call Doctor more than I had my previous Dr. that I had for a number of years! He listened, gave me a short term prescription and sent me straight to the Hospital for a lower back x-ray. My next visit was with Dr. Pierko, who made immediate suggestions for a medicine of great value for my extremely painful condition! This condition had not even been addressed for the months I suffered before Dr. Pierko. He is also a helpful chiropractor, which a form of this approach I have never had before and so much more helpful than the treatments I had from other Doctors and much less invasive! The office workers, nurses, etc. are all very helpful and friendly. A very pleasant place to be! Love It here! Sincerely, Theresa Anthony, Bridgton
