TL:DR- They take care of you as soon as they can. People need to stop having unrealistic expectations or coming here for the wrong reasons, and then leaving bad reviews. On the Walk-In Clinic, I've been coming here for a while now, when I need to be seen for milder things but can't make it to my primary care. Depending on staffing and how busy they are, yes, you may have to wait a while. But that's how walk-in clinics work. You walk-in when you want, and they'll see you as soon as they can. On some of the negative reviews on here- If you're actively bleeding, you should be going to the ER (or maybe an urgent care). This is a walk-in clinic, you're not prioritized. This is not the place for that kind of care. If you have something viral, no they're not going to give you antibiotics, because they're for bacteria, not viruses. It won't help with what you're sick with. All they can do is give you advice on what to do, and tell you to suck it up. I came here today, and also didn't eat before I came. That's on me, and not them. It's not their job to make sure you take care of yourself before you come here. And again, you may have to wait a while. It's a roll of the dice. Just show up and hope they're not busy. No, you can't leave and hold your spot in line. That's not how it works You would be getting out of line. Complete waste of my time and money. I have a viral cough that is keeping me awake at night for the past four nights. In the past my doctor gave me prednisone to knock out the coughing. The NP wouldn't give me prednisone. She prescribed tessalon pearls which I told her doesn't work for me. She didn't say anything else and walked out without saying a word. I brought my 2 year old son here for Strep throat. The PA was wonderful, he was so great with sick children, I was just very impressed. He was diagnosed with Strep later in the evening and unfortunately the pharmacy had his prescription but refused to fill it as it was too close to closing time. We call the walk in clinic back and he told us to come right back and he provided us with the mediations needed as my son was miserable and had a fever. My son has allergies to several medications but this clinic had more than just the standard amoxicillin. I can't say enough about how great the entire staff was in helping us out in a tough situation. Sometimes the wait can be a little long but it comparison to the other Walk in clinics in town this one is far superior in every way. read more

My experience was fabulous here with the front desk and the triage nurse and the PA. Wait was quick and was seen within 20mins of checking in. However when they brought in the doctor to complete the process he was extremely rude. My employer had called and naturally I had to answer (patients have lives and people want to be updated) and I assured that I'll be suitable to work the following day. It was a quick call that hadn't lasted even a minute. He rolled his eyes, huffed and puffed and stormed out. I then had to wait 10-15mins for him to come back and his attitude was still negative. Dr MacDonald is everything I want my primary care doctor to be. He is compassionate and reassuring. He takes as much time as I need. He doesn't over-prescribe or over-test. He shares his own stories when it helps. I could not ask for a better doctor, anywhere. The clinic itself is clean, friendly, and efficient. Dr Michael MacDonald is extremely thorough and intelligent. My son went to Bowdoin College and preferred Dr. MacDonald to the college's doctors because he took the time to sit with my son and discuss in detail his health issues and concerns. He was open to suggestions for medication changes and always did his research on unfamiliar medicines. He really cared about his patients and was very sweet! A+ doctor! read more

I called ahead to find out what my copay would be. I told them my insurance information and was informed it would the same as my primary care provider fee. I was suprised when it was doubled when I arrived because it is consisdered urgent care. I also called to inquire weather I should see a doctor or dentist. I suspected a mouth infection and knew I needed antibiotics, but not sure who could treat me the most effectively. I was reassured a doctor was what was needed. I stopped by first thing in the mornig and there was already a line forming. The staff were all polite, but the check in process in slow. I saw a doctor who prescribed an antibiotic that is not the most effective for my type of infection and refered me to dentist for x-rays and follow up. I was disappointed now I needed another appointment and more money to be spent because of unclear answers. The provider was pleasant and informative. Although he made sure to inform me "we dont give narcotics for dental pain". I was kind of taken back, as my request for antibiotics. read more

Been seeing Dr. Etzweiller for three years, first in Brunswick now here. She's amazing-- the rest of the staff is HORRIBLE. Between a receptionist shouting across the room at me to interrupt my private conversation with my father about how my appointment went and being *lied to* about which doctor I had been scheduled to see, my last three visits have left me in tears. It seems to be 50/50 if the nurse will even tuck the standard oral thermometer beneath my tongue. Very shocking since I have a compromised immune system and my reason for visit is always fever! No one there seems up to date on current CDC statistics for influenza and other viruses, refusing to test me in late October 2016 despite classic symptoms and my work consisting of me interacting with tourists. Not to mention the first reported case of influenza in my county having been recorded more than a month ago. Was then sent home on with medication my chart clearly states I am allergic to! Love my GP but will be looking for a different ASAP. Do not go to the Bath office if your medical history is more complicated than the occasional cold. read more
